  • Over the last six months I've been testing out six of the best weightlifting straps on the market. I talk about the pros and cons of each as well as which pair turned out to be my favorite.
    I also talk a little about what weightlifting straps are and the reasons why and when you want to use weightlifting straps.
    I'm going to list all of the straps I bought and tested here as well as links for you to be able to learn more and purchase each.
    First, the pair that has become my favorite straps, the IronMind Sew Easy Lifting Straps:

    The pair that closely resembles the IronMind Straps in specs are the Rogue Oly Lifting Straps:

    The OG lifting strap, the Harbinger Lasso Strap:

    The pair that feels like you could lift a truck with, the Spud Weightlifting Strap:

      They are powerlifting straps not weightlifting straps. He specifically reviewed weightlifting straps.

      @@servantofyeshua2313 The figure 8 are the most secure. but the cons is you really cannot let go of the bar right away since It's tethered in your hands.

      @drakebane9527 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Figure 8 straps are bad to get used to. For starters simply because theyre not allowed when competing.
      Secondly, when oly weightlifting, being able to let go of the bar on a failed attempt is an absolute safety MUST. if you don't, then you'll probably end up breaking your wrists and then some.

    What would you recommend for deadlifts where I can let go once I’m at the top?

    • @hortonbarbell
      @hortonbarbell  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either a closed loop strap or a lasso strap. If you go with the lasso strap just wrap it around the bar once so its easier to release.
