The only real thing that can help that is to increase your FOV in setting. its a cheap dirty fix but I do the same with autoaxe as that thing makes it hard to see enemy's that are shorter then waist hight, ie dogs mole rats and so on.

human damage was so stupid, maybe at least do instigating or executioner instead of a mob type :( maybe executioner woulda been more in theme with the grim reaper style
Another interesting thing to note is that anything that just adds generic melee damage increasing effects or perks also increases the bleed, which includes Slugger, Adrenal reaction, Bloody Mess, Fury, foods like you mentioned, and even the Super Chem Mk1. The scythe synergizes surprisingly well with the Super Chem Mk1 for a free 30% more bleed on demand alongside Thorn armor.
The strange damage jump is from Adrenalin. When you kill an enemy it creates a new adrenaline buff that replaces the old buff. But for half second both buffs exist together before the old one disappears, which causes a brief damage boost. You can see it for yourself if open the buff page and watch the Adrenaline buff when something dies. A second damage bonus will pop up to the right of the normal damage bonus and then immediately disappears.
I've always thought the pickaxe should have an anti-armor effect until you mod it to an ax blade ("sharp"). It would be funny if that's actually what's happening. I don't think so, but it would be funny.
the issue you saw with the damage at the end might be a coding bug, I think the effect of Adrenaline was being added before checking the condition of how much the maximum damage can be added was checked. therefore after the check was made that the maximum damage Adrenaline was already reached any further damage added by the skill after that is being redacted. cant explain it well but i hope you got the gist of it
Have you tried the 2hd V63 melee weapon? It tested it just for fun in West Tek while I was wearing my Cremator dot loadout. It one hits every lvl 100 super mutant even legendaries.
This weapon is nuts. Im only lvl 188 with deathclaw steak and glowing meat and I'm clearing rooms of fodder way faster than with my gauntlet even with full health. Tankier enemies I switch over to Zweihander after getting the bleed proc. Melee eating good
What a dumb stipulation. They seem to not be able to get out of there own way a lot of the time. They way over think damage on weapons for a game that’s 99.9 percent PVE.
And at the same time they don't think enough about it. Like how pistols just absolutely blow for bringing to bosses or events because of where their main bonus damage perks are at in SPECIAL builds.
@@dalama1161not sure they will ever make pistols a viable boss weapon. It would need a base damage of like 500, and crits of like 2500 to compete with the dps on a rail or fixer. I crit every other shot and as low health clear over 1k per crit and those happen multiple times per second. Shotguns and pistols and non auto rifles and honestly most other weapons can’t compete with that right now.

Assassin's on weapons isn't that bad they help me clean up house in the casino Expeditions, imo i think if you want to Lv up faster it's probably better to run those instead of bugging them Wes tek super mutants , plus you get script and legendary weapons and and stamps and not to mention the odds of getting plans and All the loot along the way 😎
It will ve however probably fixed/reworked soon anyway, I guess, but if that would stay as that, I would probably start to use that instead of autoaxe for 'kill by melee only' mutation thing
I've noticed the Lost seem especially weak to the bleed DOT. I'm running a full health build, no melee buffs from food, only Incisor and Martial Artist for melee perks, and level 100 Lost die instantly after one hit from a Head Hunter. Considering how tanky they are against everything else, it's become my new go-to weapon for that region of the map. I never thought to upgrade it at a workbench after claiming it and crafting one, but now I'm very glad I didn't after watching this.
@shadowrush001 Yeah, but other humans (Blood Eagles, Cultists, etc) on average take two or three swings for me to kill. I'm not exaggerating when I say Lost die *instantly* after one swing. It reminds me of the Cremator against certain enemies, where you can pinpoint the moment the DOT kicks in because it kills them immediately. Edit: I should mention I've only tried it in private servers so far, so it might not be as effective in public servers, as is the case with other DOT sources.
I upgraded mine before using it and noticed the bleed effect was not working. So I thought just another bugged bethesda weapon and scrapped it, thanks for this info. Bethesda need to sort this crap out and test new items they add.

Can you try this weapon + thorn + grenadier + biggest aoe grenades only? In your old video, i noticed that the Dot damage carries over in the grenade.. so.. im thinking.. yeet and forget grenades away.. Since in your levelup vids, an instigating weapon carries over to the grenade damage. Also -Ricochet also procs bleed? -Sneak doubles bleed proc?
If that's how you can stack Endangerol with syringers, and stack fire dots with Cremators, then stacking bleeds by through three Scythes should also be possible, right?
So whats happening is the big bleed will apply on the second swing. For some reason the mod bleed applies first swing Then second swing weapon bleed. Try it on a tougher enemy

I have been maining the Scythe for some time now and I see the patch notes mention how it is now 'changed to bleed' (hasn't it always been bleed unless you use the mod??) and they also want feedback on how it feels. Has it been nerfed? I use it with thorn and having quite a bit of fun.

Not copy scorched. Detection and movement are different, as well as stats. The main similarity is that they are changed humans with barely-lucid chatter.

Apparently the HHS was the reason why the pickaxes would give legendary modules on scrap, thus being the reason as to why pickaxe were temporarily removed.

Assassins is such a dumb legendary effect, I feel they should add an event, like a raiders event that was like a colloseeum, but you had 5 rounds, and each round you survived against a player, you got a reward multiplier for the event
That is most probably the 7th adrenaline stack. The effect is noticeable due to how the game manage the buff stacks (if you got the 7th stack, they take away the oldest one one tick after) and on top of that, the way the calculation is done both in local and server side (there's a wait for the server to confirms the deletion of the oldest stack). If you have a way to debug the game and make it run frame by frame, you will see the effect taking place.
yaogui roast and carnivore mutations. combine with strange in numbers and you got an easy 225% melee boost. big melee weapons like super sledge and bone hammer will drop pretty much anything.
Damage against humans is the most useless perk, after you finish the story line almost all humans are now your friend which means its only a boost on blood eagles.
"let me show you in 14 minutes what I can show you in 4... but on boss who are not affected on the first 7 minutes, and then on monster that I have to wait 5 secondes to die while 2 hits in 1 seconde will do the job" Go on the behemoth or a scorchbeast ... that would show something...

Ya, any one type damage really reduces the utility of the weapon. I guess it will be good in expeditions where you find more human enemies.
Either that or at least make it Cursed so that even with Assassin's, it's still getting a nice boost vs everything else.

it probably applies a fresh stack of adrenaline that terminates the original stack of adrenaline and very briefly you have two stacks
Turtle, you have to review the V63 Shock Baton. It appears to do less damage with the electrified mod. The ONLY available mod!

i think Lost count towards humans as they aren't exactly scorched nor ghouls.

Electro mines or grenades also oneshot them, if i am not mistaken. They also drop quite a few of those, which is pretty handy.

My guess is the brief damage buff is caused by Adrenaline perk but for some reason they've made it cancel itself immediately.
Anything other than an auto axe is not worth the time as melee.
It’s more so for the fun factor. Can get boring using auto axe for long periods of time.
