Bottle Hope was actually a better choice to keep overall compare to Phoneix Ashes which only trigger once every 180 second and that is 3 minutues which is already a very long timer and that reduce its value outsite of pvp and even if we looked at it from the PVP perspective. it can mostly trigger once every pvp match or shadow war activity and in my opinion it is not worth keeping it. Bottle hope on the other hand is a high value gem and is expensive in the market as well. Beserker eye on the other hand is a S class gem and can easily beat most 5 star gems that are rank 4 with 4 star quality but bottle hope was not one of them :D phoneix Ashes was. Its always great to keep experimiting. Great sutff.
Phoenix Ashes has almost never saved me in a PvP match. I usually seem to die right after it procs regardless. I've had it save me in PvE plenty of times though. Overall, I wish I had gone with a different gem way back when I started, but you have to go with what drops when you're a low spender.
I am a low spender, i only bought bp every season and prodigy. I am not into all 5 star gem since I only playing pve. My only 5 star gem is sleeping bile rank2. Currently im using fervent fang rank5, pain clasp rank5, trickshot gem rank10, blessed pebble rank10 and chaindeath rank10. Using 1 star and 2 star gems are not bad, the important thing you can increase your gem rank.
I am a low spender and have awoke all my six slots but only use five of them with 5 rank 10 one star gems. In my opinion the awakning slot with the dmg boost or cooldown reduction is far better than a rank 3 or 4 five star gem. I am highly recommend this to all my team and clan mates.
I actually just blew up my rank 5 howlers call to help get the new Pain Clasp gem up to 10……it was a good choice paired with seeping bile and poison golem or rotting pillar, and the new banquet set plus shepherd set
You need a freedom and devotion for your build for more Golem uptime. I would also get the new 2* gem in your build. I believe the best gem setup for the build you are using is, BSJ rank 1+ , Bloody Reach, Berserkers eye, Echoing Shade, Followers Burden/Freedom and devotion, Pain Clasp. Pain Clasp activates from the Molten Golems aura.

Phoenix ashes has long cooldown which is not that good. As for me, I don't mind investing in the lowest priced garbage 5⭐ gems for easy resonance jumps, while totally ignoring the effect. Hey you probably won't see this but many necros that have bloody reach don't realize that ur summons do 2x the dmg so at rank 10 and at 8 yards ur summons will do 48 percent extra dmg so if ur a necromancer i highly recommended you level it up as soon as possible
1* awoken gems will always be better than unranked 5* gems… f2p and low spenders can consider this advice to be true. But if you’re able to rank your 5* gems to a reasonable level, the resonance compounds for more damage/defense. Not really Echo’s fault, being that he’s not able to experience mid/high resonance with his current account.
Zerkers eye is an awesome gem. With a small draw back. The 5% extra damage you take. But I think it's well worth it. Another great 1star. Ever lasting torment. I may be wrong in this . But I believe torment can proc seeping bile easier. So another all round great gem. Keep up the great work Echo. Love ya man.

Great video, I’ve actually been doing the exact opposite getting more reso over the past few weeks, now I have 3* bsj, 2* SB, 3* ES, 3* FH, 3* CSF and a 3* HFF all ranked to 3 or 4 and I can’t imagine giving any of them up for a 1 or 2* gem reso helps immensely even in pve and definitely in rifts and dungeons
Reso is important, but you're not min/maxing having all these low ranked x/5* gems. Take your 3* frozen heart for example. You said these are all rank 3 or 4 so let's even say it's rank 4. That's 320 reso from this 1 gem, and reso boosts the dmg/life stat on all gear by 0.05%. I'll be generous and say that's about 600 base dmg/6k life. Alternatively, you could use a rank 10 berserkers eye that's only 150 reso. The boost from reso alone is only about 290 dmg/2900 life, BUT it's also a damage gem. While frozen heart may give a pointless shield every now and then, berserkers eye gives a constant static 16% damage. I have 14k base damage with a berserkers equipped. That 16% is giving me 2240 more dmg. Your extra 170 reso was what again, 310 (600-290) more base dmg? Now let's also consider the awakening bonus from a rank 10 gem. Put this in the right slot and you're gaining yet another 10% damage modifier for a certain skill. My point here is percentage modifiers far outweigh a little extra reso. 5 stars are best if you're whale and can get these up to high ranks, like 8+. But as medium spender even, 1 and 2 star gems that provide dmg% bonuses are far better, especially at rank 10 with awakening bonuses. Sorry for the long winded response but it helps to see the math proof. Echo is spot on with this vid. Phoenix ashes is one the of the most useless gems in the game with a 3 minute cooldown, and the shield effect is also reduced 66% in pvp so you get like maybe 1 extra second survivability in bg, once every 180 seconds... Unfortunately that bottled hope he trashed also gives a dmg boost when it triggers, this is one 5 star gem I would NOT have swapped out for a lower tier gem.

Berserker's eye is truly an S tier 1* gem, it's good for all classes and builds, and it's attributes are in effect once you socketed it, not unlike other gems that you need to do something to proc their effects
dude. For pvp, what would be a better choice for low spenders, a rank 10 2-star gem with awakened gear or a 4/5 star gem on rank 5? Perhaps rank 5 would be the limit for low spenders to their 5-star gems. If the answer would be the rank 5 4/5star gem, then their would be no need to awaken the gear. I have on my barb 2 must have gems, Berserker's eye rank 10 and Power and command rank 6. and i have Blood - soaked jade 2/5 rank 2, Bottled hope 3/5 rank 3. Gloom cask 2/5 rank 2 and Howler's call 2/5 rank 2 . I am 100% free to play so thats the way to go. ideally i want all my 5 stars to get rank 5 and those 2 rank 10. thats it. Bottled hope > Seeping Bile , Seeping bile is trash for pve.

i have 3 high quality 3 star and i lvled them to rank 3 they have more res in them than the 3 awakened gems i replace for them its not true rank a one star and feed it 2 gems to ten on them its only 170 my rank 3seeping bile is 380 at the same rank if you already have those 5 stars keep them don't go backwards its false.

I'm addicted to the Awakening bonuses, and even the bonus damage and DR % you get when you put rank 5's inside as gem resonance add up. I don't think you'll regret your decision, especially as Howlers and Bottled hope are two of the weakest 5* gems.
So berserker's eye is not a great choice. Your resonance gems outshine the damage. So you're getting 2% crit, and 5% damage taken IN PVP as a LOW spender in higher ranks. Take Blessed Pebble instead. It's good across the board, and the resonance bonus stats will help your survivability greatly.
@@ShallowEra omg, he could upgrade the BE to lvl 10 by only doing elder rifts. For lvl 5 on the video very fast. And he saved the phoenix ashes, which is totally useless due to its cooldown. Level 3 BH would give him more damage benefits than level 5 BE and even level 10, because the resonance is raising the overall base stats and it costs only 75 gem power. As a low spender with 1550 res, I have lvl 10 BE and lvl 4 BH. And 7 PA gems are resting in my bag. I used my lvl 10 BE for awakening my weapon and will replace it later with another level 10 but 2* gem, which I’m surely not gonna buy.

I actually have been sitting on my eye at rank 10 for a long time lol. Looked like at some point they were gonna add the awaken material on one of the vendors.

FYI I've done fahds sanctuary like 15 times and opened all the chests and I still am missing fahds gem which is the damage gem I get enough keys run it and nothing everyone I've talked to said they got it on the 2nd or 3rd try I think I got fucked on that one some glitch in my account or some shit

The advantage of 1 star gems (at least for low spenders, ofc) is that after awakening it requires for resonance other 1 star gems...

I didn't play BG until I got to h8 because I was worried about the power gap. I regret not starting BG earlier, most fun I've had in months.

I have my berserkers eye awakened with maxed gems for the extra reso. I destroyed 2 2/5 bottled hope for that process...

You will never get all your 5☆ gems to rank 5 as f2p. Do the math or find it online. The best you could hope for is 1.

FYI I've done fahds sanctuary like 15 times and opened all the chests and I still am missing fahds gem which is the damage gem I get enough keys run it and nothing everyone I've talked to said they got it on the 2nd or 3rd try I think I got fucked on that one some glitch in my account or some shit
I get disconnected all the time
