      There are some jobs in construction if you're good with your hands? Otherwise there's 'call centre' work if you've got a good grip on the English language. Plenty of hospitality work going too. Let me know if any of these interest you and I'll send you some more info.

    • @Valhalla_Heathen
      @Valhalla_Heathen 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aussie & A Swede sounds awesome brother, thanks! Call centre work has always caught my attention as well as the hospitality industry! And also since I’m currently employed with Amazon they offer certification in high-demand fields and I was thinking of doing their IT programme. At the end of the day I think I’d WAY rather go with hospitality though lol so again I really appreciate your feedback dude!

      Hey mate, yeah plenty! Where are you from? Both Sats/Nordic Wellness gyms have dozens of locations so you can always apply there. Otherwise there are also obviously you're Crossfit gyms around the place too. Plenty of work IF you are willing to put yourself out there, network and put in the work!

    Shit! My partner is from Linköping and im a Melbourne boy, both of us are around 20~ and I flew over to live in Sweden with her about last April! I lived there for a year with her old folks and her and we had so much fun!! We're back in Melbourne now and split since she has to do farmwork for the 2nd year visa and is stuck in Mildura. Seeing as you guys are a bit older than us, do you have any idea how I should travel back to Sweden as a Aussie whos already used up my working holiday visa now?
    Lots of warm regards :)

    • @robbieyoung-yogamusic7983
      @robbieyoung-yogamusic7983  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate, that's great you had an awesome time in Sweden and that you're looking to come back! I'm currently here on a WHV which will run out early next year. We're not sure YET if we'll be staying longer or not, but of course to stay the options are slim. Work Visa seems like the obvious choice - but of course i'd need to find an employer to sponsor me, and I also need to then consider the restrictions this would impose on me. Also in your case, you'd need to get here, be employed (maybe you could attempt this on a tourist visa) and THEN they would need to sponsor.
      Another option of course is applying for Sambo, but in our situation isn't great as Al is still studying so not sure if we'd even be able to meet the maintenance requirements. Also it would mean me leaving either back to Aus, or potentially setting up shop in London, Denmark or Oslo while the visa is processed, and just visit plenty. I'd consider this.
      I can't give you much more advice unfortunately. If you have some sort of trust fund to tap into you could always study here??!
      It's a shame you can't extend or re-apply for a 2nd WHV :(
      This is probably a good question for the Swaussie group as well :D

      You can "buy" an apartment in this area, Södermalm, for about 90 000 SEK/kvm (about 9350 USD). (You don´t actually buy the apartment, buy buy a membership in a housin co-op, and the right to live in the apartment, though). And then you pay a montly fee about 2000-3000 SEK (210-310 USD/month.

    As a swede, I am raging with envy that you chose to move from beautiful, incredible and above all WARM Australia to "2 months of summer then either pissing down or frostbite the other 10 months of the year"-Sweden. You seem like lovely people but this makes me irrationally angry-jealous.

    I never visited Sweden, but it looks very nice in your Vlogs.
    The only thing I know about Sweden is:
    second highest rape statistics in the world and over 50 no-go zones.
    Is Sweden that bad in reality, or is the media liying?

    • @adamsjoberrg
      @adamsjoberrg 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both. It should be taken seriously by us Swedes and our government should have acted 20 years ago. On the other hand I would never tell a foreigner to not come here because of the reasons you listed. I don't really know what a no-go-zone is per definition, but there are certain areas on the rim of the larger cities that have huge problems with enforcing the law and keeping the peace. But I have never heard of an official statement about it.

    • @ontariojoe
      @ontariojoe 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Paul Lenzer No, the police(Polis) claimed that No Go Zones do not exist in Sweden, this word was used by the media which is lying so goddamn hard, it makes me angry, it makes me fucking angry. Do NEVER believe what the media or commentaries under videos are saying, pure propaganda and brainwashed idiots. It often shocks me how racist people still are, under videos for example Paris,, where waaay more migrants are, the viewers write under the commands, Paris is lost and shit like that, it shocks me so much how fucking racist people can be, like all migrants from Near East and Africa are only rapists and terrorists, like what the fuck?! Thise afe normale people who also just want to live their life and get a job etc. and yes some of them do shit, but you know what a little percentage of the whole of the whole group is doing shit? Probably like 2-5%. Of course Sweden has its own problems, tell me one country that don't, not counting fucking Vatican City xD, but compared to other countries, cities like England, London(or other cities in England) it is extremely low in Sweden. Mostly the police deals with safing animals or stuff like that. Sweden is one of the safest countries only 90 murders per year and compared to other countries with 10 million inhabitants it is a joke, in the whole world, please never believe the media with things like criminality in Sweden, it is all bullshit. The reason why the rape assault rate is so high, is because the laws in those sexual things are the most feminist in the world! Almost everything counts as rape here in Sweden, which is not really a bad thing, but it is also not recommended, Sweden recommended it by theirselves, to compare Sweden's statistics with other countries since the laws, counts are very different in Sweden. For example if a boy gets raped 5 times by a stronger girl, then the police counts it as 5 rapes and not as one whole case (so 1 rape) like in other countries. I live in Husby, lived in Rinkeby, originally I am from Germany, Berlin where I was born, so as a migrant(yes I am a german migrant=migrant) In looked out for a cheaper place, and you know what? The people in Rinkeby and Husby are so nice, people from all the world, Africa, America, Near East, Europe like Poland, Finland, Hungary, Portugal, Germany, Norway etc. and I love it here. It is very calm and nice here in Husby, just fuck the media and do not believe their shit. Please come and visit Sweden it is awesome, and I personally moved here because I needed the cold weather, it was too warm for me in Germany xD
