I can relate to this in a way. I see you with the whole thing about not like most popular things. People love solo leveling, but I think it’s a bit bit too edgy for me, but I love Shangri-La frontier which is a lot less popular. Same thing with indi animation and cartoons! I’m not a fan of hellova boss or teen titans but I love monkey wrench and Lego monkey kid. Heck my favorite character from my hero academia isn’t even in the main series, but the main character from the spinoff series!! With right now it’s a little bit different. earlier on in my art journey, I thought I was gonna be this big pop artist with a huge following on TikTok and everything, even being inspired by you in a way! The more I tried I just realize it probably wasn’t cut out for me. Maybe it’s because of my art has never really been that popular, but I don’t really care that much I’m drawing is less popular than anything. Im not really that good at art in general and yet I find joy in creating and experimenting and improving. So I’m able to have a lot more fun than I normally do. I do a lot of drawings for a lot of small commutes and a lot of drawings of smaller characters. Additionally, I’m training to be a storyboard artist, and for practice I make animation based on the things I like. Popular or unpopular. As long as I’m I like it and as long as I’m making progress in my art journey, that’s good enough for me. And heck! If my stuff end up getting popular, maybe I could show people why I love this thing I love! And once I got on my perspective of everything having to be perfect, I was able to have much more fun creating fanart. I still do original stuff more, but it’s a lot easier to make fanart now compared to back then. And I’m glad you were able too find a new Perspective in making fan-art as well. Also a love your art, your rendering style is genuinely GORGEOUS
Thank you 🥺🥺🥺 and I totally hear you, one day I’d absolutely love for my original characters, stories, and world to become a beloved thing that people enjoy and would buy merch for, but right now that’s not a main focus for me. I definitely want to branch into artist alleys in the future, and what I’ve come to notice from attending more conventions is that those who do have work from less popular fandoms have a lot of joy in finding the people who share a love for those smaller franchises, and that’s definitely something I want to embrace more in my work too :)
Me and my roommates watched the Disney Fairy movies just the other day! My personal favorites are the secret of the wings and the fairy games short film. I also love Naruto! I’d love to see all those characters in your style! Honestly my favorite fan art is from smaller fandoms that aren’t well known, their like finding bonus fry’s at the bottom of the bag XD bonus frys always taste the best 😋
Secret of the wings and pirate fairy are definitely my favs lol, I actually went ahead and have drawn Sasori and Deidara since then and I feel that they’re some of the best drawings I’ve done in a while :)
Your style is the cutest!
YES!!! U LOVE DENKI AND MINA!!! I LOVE THEM TOO!!
