WoW Follower Dungeons and why you should try them
As part of WoW Dragonflight patch 10.2.5, we got new solo dungeons called follower dungeons. This new feature lets us enter dungeons with NPC party members, where you can play in any role and play at your own pace.
These follower dungeons are a great way to level and gear a fresh level 70, but they are are an incredible place to practice and learn your build. I think these WoW Follower dungeons are a fantastic foundation and hopefully they add to this in the next expansion.

I have not tried it yet but I am going home tonight and doing my first one. I like the ability to learn your build and not slow others down as you do that. People would always get mad at me before so I never did dungeons again. Thanks for the information.

Ty i just resubbed to wow no complaints started back at lvl 1. Been away nearly 5 years and trying to relearn. Ty again.

I love them. They have given me the confidence to try tanking and using them as training grounds.

Question: Are follower dungeons going to be added to earlier expansions in the future? I can't seem to dig up any info on that.
I'm stoked about this new queue option, it's honestly been fantastic. I've been using LFG to run dungeons this whole expansion, and still barely knew the layout of any of them...tanks blow through, pulling everything up to the first boss, we nuke it, barely have time to loot, rinse and repeat x4. Hectic and stressful, if quick. The followers are exactly what I wanted; a mostly-competent group that doesn't mind an occasional wipe.
My only complaint so far is that the tank seems wired to pull everything in sight, instead of backing up and pulling a single group away from others...and she doesn't hold still worth a darn once she has the mobs rounded up. This has led to me - either DPS or heals so far - toggling the tank to "follow" and pulling most packs myself, to control them better. I don't think that's a good way to teach newbies how to function in a group. 😅 The most success I've had is as healer; I'm probably pretty bad, but still more useful than that poor resto druid NPC. Haven't tried on a sub-70 alt though, that may make a big difference. Need to try tanking, I'm guessing it'll go very well due to the aforementioned complaint.

If your a big time raider and mythical hammah yea not for u it’s for people who want to learn how it works in there have fun at your own pace it’s Hella fun awesome 🤙🏽pluse u can Finnish those quests that after u do the quest lines and in the end they send u in a dungeon then stays in ur quest line up forever cause I just don’t want to deal with pugs here it is finish it at ur pace it’s awesome 👍

I left WoW for SWTOR about 4 years ago. Recently I subbed again for a month and bought the next expansion about 2 weeks ago. I've been playing these nonstop as healer and tank and really enjoying it. I don't play these games for end game, so this is enough for me. My subscription expires tomorrow so I'll probably go back to SWTOR, but I have to admit that these are much better than SWTOR's story mode Flashpoints. They are casual fun where the story mode FPs are pretty slow going to get through. But you don't need tanks and heals for the 4-player random group flashpoints which is what I normally play and enjoy.
I'll be keeping an eye on what they do with these in the future. it would be really nice if they opened them up to older dungeons as well and upped the amount of XP you get from them to make them on par with normal dungeons. I don't care so much about the characters that join the dungeon with me, but it would be nice to be able to choose the kinds of DPS, Tank and Healers that join me in the dungeon. I'm sure they'll expand these because they seem to be really popular among the player base. But I doubt I'll get my wish-list.

The follower dungeons are great for those who do a lot of solo content, those with social anxiety, and players who are casual and still want to experience all the content available or all the above. I'd love to see this feature added to include all dungeon content up to and including a limited M+. While it would be nice to see raids included I doubt we will be seeing that for a while. With AI pc's on the horizon i'd love to see them capitalize on this feature.

Hope it will apply to mythic 0 dungeons and lfr .
When you play dps its a queue time nightmare .
4h (most of the time in waiting queue)to complete an lfr lvl raid is too much time .

Tried to farm Smoldering Phoenix Ash, either I was really unlucky or its nerfed or follower dungeon have other lootdrop then normal runs. Apart from that I enjoyed the experience and will be doing all quests in dungeons from now on, instead of skipping those not needed for campain.

It may bring back players whom do not want to deal with NASTY PLAYERS. Can we replace the server community with them yet? That would be a great feature. Private servers for an extra $20 a month.

It's sad that mindless NPC play the dungeon better than actual real people.
