I just started wow this expansion, and have enjoyed going in to old content for transmogs and such a bit. There is so much old content however, it is pretty overwhelming trying to pick something to do so this type of video is great for me.

Welcome to the game. My only advice is to take it easy and only do what you find fun in the game. Its really a vast game especially for a new player.

There is loads of great old content, such as the throne of thunder, black temple, ICC, etc. I'd suggest 'Firelands', theres a month or 2 of content in there, that ends with a staff that allows you to turn yourself into a dragon, as well as some sweet full transmog sets.

Those are actually fun though. Hell those were even more fun when they were current. Bfa, if you exclude the 8.1 nonsense was a great expansion. Nice levelling, nice zones and epicness galore.
One way to double dip on some rewards can be to look at what gets you Trading Post Tenders. Killing Raid or Dungeon Bosses, or winning Pet Battles, those give a lot of points, and can get you all kinds of Transmog and Mounts, Pets. The Pet Battle Dungeons, those count for the Trading Post as well.
It's just nice to be able to get more than one thing done at the same time, especially if you have limited play time available.

Literally anything. great tip if you're playing without a brain. I literally do nothing and complete this thing in a few days which takes a month to get. You aint double dipping nothing, kid.
@@RastjackA It just randomly gave you some good points for doing that dungeon back in march. I assume that its meant for newer p players to be introduced to mount dropping bosses and old content that they may have never experienced in the past.

Man even though grinding Visions and Azerite sucked in BFA. I miss being able to pull all of a dungeon and kill everything with Twilight Devastation. Such an op ability

It was sort of fun but doing 20-30% of your damage for a proc was kind of stupid. I do think they should add a toned down version of twilight devastation as a shadow priest ability. Shame to let such an awesome animation go to waste.

I just started playing the game when Zereth Morris was released I am overwhelmed by how much there is to do! Too much fun.
There really is a lot (to experience and collect)! It's kind of a shame blizz doesn't place more emphasis on older content (but time walking and whatnot is a start)!
@@lonmeasley752 I do the time walking events when I notice them. There's a nice mount for 5000 time walking tokens I'd like to get. I might have enough after these next five weeks of time walking.

BFA is highly underrated in terms of what you can still farm/get from that Xpac. It's weird, I hated BFA at the time, now I have grown to like/love it...

As a returning player, this is so helpful. Thank you. I find that doing old content for rewards is my favorite aspect of the game. Recently got Glory of the Legion Hero, but that one does require a full 5 player group for one of the halls of valor achievements

Island expeditions have been changed so you don’t have to target specific mobs anymore, you will still be able to get the reward you want(depending on how lucky you are.) 1:45
Oh?! But don't certain mobs/islands still have better odds of the chest at the end dropping something thematic? This allows players to actually be able to target rewards they want (in addition to using doubloons to buy bags), right?

Great video and so helpful. I quit in 2018, had a couple months of BfA play which I loved, but I'm coming back to Warcraft in a couple weeks and, preferring to be a guildless solo player, I'm eyeing a list of things to do once I reach level cap again. I've no experience in Shadowlands, so will tackle that questing content before jumping into Dragonflight - trying really hard to avoid feeling behind the curve and instead focusing on these types of collection-oriented play.

I was guildless from the end of SL when I started until a month into DF… I guess I felt like I should be a part of something having geared up and wanting to actually attempt m+…. But damn I catch myself checking what others are doing and not focusing on what I want to do.. like I might need to go back to my solo style and not have any concern about what others are doing lol.

Someone might have mentioned it (sorry if it's repeated), but BfA flying was released from the achievement gate lock during 10.0.7 or somewhere around there. I found this out recently when I was changed my Druid form, thinking I would be in ground form. So it makes BfA a lot more easy to fly around in! I think it affects Mechagon and Nazjatar too for flying, but I don't have the areas unlocked right now since I didn't play during BfA. Anyways, nice video, I didn't play during SL and BfA so it's nice to know what I can do when I get back to 'em! :)

LPT when it comes to Glory Achvs. Look up which ones are soloable and do them. That way when you need help from others you will get the mount sooner. It’s also helpful to have that knowledge when trying to get a group because being able to help group members with other achvs makes you more valuable.

I just powered through all of the Torghast achievements and it was super easy. Time-consuming, but easy, and I even got some cool transmog out of it!

Legion assaults for me. Also dont sleep on crafted gear. while the sets by themselves might not be good looking together, each piece is good looking by itself and with the later expansion gathering mechanics since WoD geting mats to max the crafting profs makes it easier. Bonus points you can also craft mounts and yes even LW. Most of my xmog pieces comes from crafting.

Just a note about the bfa dungeon mounts (some of them), make sure you have lots of lube when attempting them cause it might take you years for a single drop regardless of how many characters you run them with cause blizz had the awesome idea to make them 1/200 instead of 1/100. I know it because it literally happened.....to a friend of mine 😏

The vision 5 mask mount was pretty rough when it was current, one of my favorite challenges.
The tallent tree mentioned I'd required for the backpack and mount. You have to get every tallent first to buy the stuff. More grinding than you think IN the visions.

Ny'alotha is now soloable if you have enough dps on normal mode. Ra-den has a mechanic that's hard to deal with if you're not able to deal damage fast enough as his tank buster is not immunable.

unlocking the legion legendaries are totally worth it, and easy with DL gear. I had to do the hunter class hall stuff for the Feathermane training book, and I'm still using the bow transmog cause it is so good

remember, you can have up to 60 max level alts, which means 60 chances for pets, mounts, mogs, and gold

Those salvage crates from Island expedition dubloons actually have a really decent chance to contain the mounts. I don't remember for certain but I think it was around a 25% chance to get a mount and it doesn't give duplicates of mounts you already have or decrease your chance to get a mount as the number of mounts you are missing decreases. So it's not like when you are just missing 1 or 2 island mounts it gets more frustrating to get them.
I ended up buying most of the cosmetics and pets I missed on the AH. Wish I had just waited so I could enjoy casually grinding islands when bored.

The Naz'jatar/Mechagon goes even smoother now as you can fly there right away.
You should have shown the evolution of the cloak too. This is why I perosnally ran Visions of Nzoth in the first place : the tier 3 cloak looks so good!

I just wanna say, Visions has one of my most favorite aesthetic and feel in the game that I didn't mind doing all 8.3 content when I was started playing in Shadowlands. Nazjatar is a close second, really love the place and feel. Too bad these were associated with a horribly executed expansion, but I still wished I played it when it was current.
BFA at launch wasn't particularly good but actually put out some cool patches with 8.2 and 8.3, IMO! There's something about Visions for me that's quite captivating indeed!

BFA had a bad launch but those who stuck around were eventually rewarded with a great expansion IMO. Supposedly one of the worst but I found myself logging in every day doing stuff
Buddy. By the sounds of it you just aint got a clue full stop. if youre gonna wish to play something start with vanilla through to LK. That was peak wow for a reason.
mythic+ in BFA was peak mythic+ also really enjoyed the raids and the corruptions at the end. Out of all the xpacs my fav have been wrath,mop, WOD for pvp and legion. bfa was pretty up there too tbh. SL was the worst xpac iv ever played having all the zones so split off felt terrible. love vanilla when it was vanilla same with BC, now its too min maxed. Hc seems promising
personally on my server, mechagon and nazjatar are worse then they were at launch, cause the rares die in seconds, generally you dont make it to the rare before it's dead, you could spend an hour or more spawning a specific rare, and then finally spawn it and someone has already killed it. There is always a group of people waiting on rustfeather and the arachnid harvester.

Cool, glad you like the video!! The wolf head is from the Shadowlands tier 3 (9.3) Shaman Set, which you can also get by upgrading headpieces using the Creation Catalyst in Zereth Mortis.
Either I missed it or it was not mentioned, but BfA is scaled up - a lot of it is indeed soloable, but raids or higher raids (escpecially mythic) will still not be soloable for some classes still :)

Mythic Tomb of Sargeras is now solo-able, with a mount off Sassy pants and , and downing mythic KJ being the main prizes. KJ's darkness phase seems to have been eliminated.

It's not eliminated, it's just possible to skip it if you do enough damage after the air phase.

Absolutely! I'd thought about including Zereth Mortis but didn't really feel the difficulty was high to begin with (and hence solo-ability didn't see that much of a boost)
I have already solo played Mythical Island when this was the current level.
And now if they also fixed tazavesh and mechagon and removed the mechanics that make them unsoloable... In mechagon you get oneshotted by 4th boss way before hack the pylon, and in tazavesh, you have to hit the last boss for about an hour because you cant do that mechanic that removes his shield.

just one hint , bfa raid contest is not downscaled , like the past rules , 2 addons above makes the raid go easy pass by ...dmg scaling wise ,there is no upgrade like you had once ...so bfa mystic solo is still pretty tough for the average players , or wrong class or builds , just keep that in mind
Anyone happen to know what is the most profitable(raw gold wise) soloable old raid? I've been soloing Nighthold occasionally on multiple alts for transmog and noticed that vendoring drops does gain a decent amount of gold. With around 8 70s I was thinking about doing this more frequently(not to an extreme to avoid burnout), but wondering which raid would be a good gold generator. Granted not expecting to make millions, but a nice way for gaining gold, transmog, and maybe going after more rarer drops from those raids. Also newish to WoW so outside of vanilla and TBC raids I haven't done really any of them.
I need to find someone to farm nighthold with for transmog, I get so lost in there, same with the burning throne.
I think raw gold in general has been nerfed from old raids. But perhaps the mists of Pandaria ones aren't bad for the Mote/Spirits of Harmony drops which can be worth a decent amount
This just really reminds me how brutally scuffed BFA was. All of its content, *on paper*, sounds and looks so sick. This is almost a better way to experience it, without the power system treadmill in place. But in practice... yikes.

Ive been very curious about this, what's actually soloable on BFA and even SL now. I've never been a top level raider, never done a mythic raid once, but am finally doing another retail expansion fully, gonna be the first time I raid in retail since MoP. Ive mostly just done like mount and pet stuff, dungeons, legacy fun stuff since then, and of course did vanilla and tbc classic for a while each. But, ehhh. I cant stand Northrend, tired of classic, hadn't played in 13 months, figured why not try DF? And its not bad. Actually, the Shadowlands campaign was awesome too, although its much better to do now that there's less bullshit lol... I know how horrid SL grinding was for mythic keys and shit, glad to never have to do that in my life. Nope. Im glad to just clear everything and enjoy the story, and go back in time to challenge myself with solo content.

So I just completed Balance of Power after 3 weeks, 2 rep grinds, and some of the worst RNG for the raid items 2 weeks in a row. I did not read the fine print. This doesn't unlock every artifact appearance. I mean, it might, but it doesn't unlock the recolors. Sadly, there is no way around doing the individual challenges and doing things like pvping and legion dungeons to bling out my thunderfury. It was a cool quest regardless, so the time wasn't completely wasted.

BFA scaling is super dumb. You can solo Shadowlands world bosses with no problems but even Normal BFA raid bosses have really stupid anti-soloing mechanics built in to them that make soloing them next to impossible. Heck Uldum is currently too hard, let alone the newer BFA raids. Might try it later on a paladin instead of a hunter (hunter kinda sucks when pet taunt isn't working in raid instances, as you can only heal so often, and leech ain't enough). Still, the lack of legacy scaling means the fights, even with trash mobs, take FOREVER (bad scaling makes them have gigantic HP bars).
I also REALLY WISH they made Heroic Warfronts solo queue at level 70. It's a drag to even go check if the right warfront is available, then you got a SINGLE CHANCE of a RANDOM ITEM EVERY warfront season to get a piece you want. Almost 6 years later I still haven't finished a single heroic set. Due to sheer dumb bad luck and lack of opportunity I keep getting cloaks/bracers or stuff I already have.

Yeah some of them can be grindier! But nonetheless are generally easier to do now if one actually wants the rewards!

The worst thing about Torghast is it feels like it never ends. I did a few recently and I almost fell asleep. Just floor after floor of boring crap.

Unless they were disabled for some reason, you should be able to queue up at the respective faction NPC in its BFA capital city!
Wait you can solo M islands now? Last month I checked it somehow still requires a 3-player squad.
You can queue up at the NPC!
You have to talk to the NPC and ask for a private tour.
the battle for dazar'alor is impossible to solo currently, the first boss is an immediate wall to progressing, totally unkillable by yourself

Yea, makes no sense why we can't solo content from 2 expacs ago.
As soon as a new expac comes out, the previous expac should be soloable.
How so? I solo this on my enhancement shaman and guardian Druid without issue.
@@5uprnva what difficulty and ilevel? I could maybe see enhancement but you said guardian Druid, my prot warrior couldn’t do mythic. The infinite rezzing is impossible to out damage for me.
@@5uprnva I dont believe you solo Mythic Dazar'alor on enhance. I am 411 enhancement shaman and the first boss is impossible with the adds instantly healing her and the stacking debuff that begins to actually do significant damage rather quickly.
The talent tree for Visions of N'Zoth is VERY important even in Dragonflight. Increasing max sanity, increasing rewards, etc.
How do you unlock visions dungeons?
I wanna farm the stormwind one for a weapon illusion
@@codyrockwood15 Have to do the BFA quest chain for the Heart of Azeroth, then you should be able to do the one for the cloak. Once the world event N'Zoth incursions, or whatever they're called, unlock you should be able to start working on Visions.

Also, I feel like I was the only one who liked Torghast while it was current
I think Torghast felt like a chore for many at Shadowlands launch, but has since been improved greatly and become more enjoyable IMO

i'm relatively new to the game, just got my first character to lvl 70, and honestly, i prefer to farm old content much more, than trying to do the new content. im also getting an obsession with collecting mounts, so.....im doomed
Haha this was me a while ago. Definitely a lot to do if you enjoy that kind of stuff!
