"There great with children" starts dragging a baby to hell
My immediate thought
I don't want to speak on behalf of that baby but I personally would love a game of drag with a CKCS.
I knew i wasnt the only one that noticed
Well, it needs to eliminate the competition for attention. 😶
😆😆😆😆😆.
You gotta be careful with these lil guys... Theyre so sensitive, you'll actually hurt their feelings if youre too stern with them, positive reinforcement training works best since all they want to do is make you happy and hold your love. Genuinely the easiest breed I've ever trained.
i feel like positive reinforcement training works well with most dog breeds if you’re training them to be household pets
@@raynb0w6 yes, absolutely, I firmly prefer positive reinforcement training, i just wrote that because the first time i worked with one i was SO surprised at how emotionally sensitive they are... 🥹 i love them
It doesn't surprise me. Those dogs have love in their eyes.
"great with children"
The dog: I give child in exchange for food it's a win win for me
Irresponsible to neglect to mention their heart and brain problems.
Thank you, came to see if anyone has mentioned this.
To elaborate on the brain problems: their heads are too small for their brains causing their brains to constantly push against the inside of the skull and into the brainstem, into the spinal cord. There's a good chance they suffer from eternal, excrutiating headaches as a result of this, since humans experience that from basically anything that disrupts the flow of cerebrospinal fluids, for example epidurals. So this breed is one of those extremely unethical breeds, and if you just "have to" get one you should at the very least try to find a breeder who has focused on breeding healthier individuals.
Thank you for mentioning. Didn't know yet.
Exactly my mother in law has one that’s only 7 years old and already with heart problems, can’t even walk very far already
Yep! Their breeding is even banned in some countries because it's considered animal cruelty to breed such an unhealthy dog.
Fr, never buy a rat sized dog
This breed is really great. I took care of one for a family friend and she is the sweetest dog ever. The dog also loves seeing me so much that the owner has told me she freaks out the most when seeing me and no one else. Hell she so smart she recognizes my car when I pull over to say hi to them when they’re on a walk.
My best friend is a cavalier, and he's the only joy I have in my life. I couldn't imagine life without him
Adorable, affectionate, and elegant; a true companion in every way.
Elegant? You mean breed to suffer
@@JREinaNutshell331*you hear a loud noise*
Me: BACK THE FREAK OFF!
i have HAD IT WITH YOU PEOPLE!
you're making me FERAL!
My parents adopted one. Those extremely short snouts are a dentition nightmare caused by selective breeding for esthetic over health. My parents resued one from a shelter and quickly learned in the time between her donation and adoption, she developed a cavity. Their front teeth are so close together that this occurs easily and will have a domino effect with the plaque spreading down the line. My parents had to pay several thousand dollars to have most of the dogs lower front teeth removed. After several years she started to have nuerological problems that we learned were apparently common for this breed, again for the poor genetics. She would get very confused and have repeated sezuires. In the last couple years of her life she would just let poop fall out no matter where she was and even lay right down in it. She would also run repeated clockwise circles until she collasp3d in exhaustion. We were told thsi was likly due to a Brian timer or other nuerolgical defect causing her to feel the urge to do this without end. She would not move out of the way of people or objects and would often run right into a person's path as they came though or come up right on their heels so they couldn't back up. It was a serious nightmare because the dog was a hazard for itself and a serious danger for my mom with her arthritis and back issues. My dad did not want to put it down but it was clearly not enjoying a good quality of life and it was finally agreed it had to be done. I am not saying they are all a bad choice of dog but I feel from what we learned from the vet over time, they are not the general perfect dog for everyone that this video makes them out yo be. They can be very expensive and can be a puppy mill dog. They also have poor genetics as a result of the breeding to make them, which results in health concerns not everyone is able to care for. I agree it is important not to discourage people from adopting in general but responsible adoption is just as important. The orgional owner of Mt pare rs dog could not handle her. She was lucky my parents came along, but even then, it was really rough and too late in some cases. Her cavities formed in just a couple months of lesser care and resulted in only two front teeth remaining in her lower jaw. Please make sure the breed you adopt is right for you in the long term and not just as a puppy. Do diligent research on their health and life needs so you can appropriately decide if you can reasonably handle it with your current life expectations.
Thank you for sharing your story. It is important to inform people what they could be getting themselves in for so we have less people blindly buying a cute puppy from a breeder only for it to end up in a shelter when the dog's medical needs exceed what they expected.
I generally would say no one should get one of these dogs, their neurological issues are caused by the selective breeding making their heads too small for their brains, so they're just generally a very unethical breed of dog imo. So if someone just "has to" get one of these they should at least find a breeder who has focused on breeding healthier individuals. They also have a ton of genetic heart problems.
As a vet tech, I agree with all you said. Sadly, this breed is also prone to heart problems as well. However, at the clinic, they are the sweetest dogs to work with and I never met a nasty behaved one in all my 30 years of clinical experience.
@@ShieniLicksOnLemons You are completely incorrect regarding selective breeding as this is not the issue with Cavaliers. It was due to how they were initially bred. A gentleman called "Eldridge" wanted a Cavalier in 1926 and set up a challenge for breeders to recreate the traditional Cavalier which was around during the reign of King Charles II (current English Cavaliers had longer noses). The Cavalier was "recreated" but during World War II and extreme rationing in the UK, only around 50 of these newly created breed survived... and all the cavaliers since then have been bred from those surviving 50. So it's not selective breeding and any reputable Cavalier breeder would do anything to have a healthy litter, but that just is currently not the case until the defects are bred out (but bad breeders will continue to ignore the dogs welfare and think about money).
@@kytestar........ It would be so easy to breed them out if people truly wanted to, and selective breeding has been there the whole time as well even if the "options" were limited. They could've just bred the dogs with other similar breeds, they SELECTED to inbreed them..........
Best dog I ever had. She did develop heart problems, but I was aware it could be an issue. I did extensive research and eventually found a very reputable breeder. She had a cardiologist as well as a regular vet. She lived for 10 years with a good quality of life. In the end, she developed a blood clot that took her. She didn't suffer, but I was heartbroken. I still miss her. Her call name was Windy because she constantly wagged her tail.
Ugh. The worst part of loving an animal is knowing that you will lose them someday 😢
So beautiful and adorable 😮
I know, I’ve got one
@@LyricClock-fo8he Aw lucky 💖
"They are great with children" as he drags a baby across the floor 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a professional groomer i can happy to groom this dawg
My uncle has two of them. And I can absolutely confirm that they are very friendly dogs.
I used to clean pools years ago and this lady had an all brown one that I wanted to kidnap and hold for ransom 😄. Super energetic and playful on top of being adorable. Once you shower one with love it’s glued to you forever lol.
These dogs can have constant painful headaches, regular seizures that can leave them disabled and all because they were selectively bread into having a skull too small to fit their brain without putting pressure on it "because small heads look cute".
Please, if you genuinely want one of these dogs either rescue one from a shelter or do extensive research on a breeder before considering buying from one and be aware this dog could easily cost thousands in vet bills to keep in any quality of life.
Your safest bet is to find a shelter dog that is not 100% purebread, but still looks like a King Charles Cavilier Spaniel. Then you get the best of both worlds and the dog has much better chance at not living in pain and reaching a long healthy life.
Why dont we just put them all down? Dogs are ass, anyway.
💯
Mine was a rescue, she was a mix as well so she was slightly larger at 24lbs so didnt have any headache issues but she did have a heart murmur which is common in these dogs
Thanks for your information ❤
No one's gonna mention how one of the clips of the dog is the dog cosplaying as Tanjiro Kamado 😂 So adorable
I saw that, it looks absolutely adorable.
I have one that I adopted this year she is 7yo and was rescued from a puppy farm. She is still not House trained 😢 and won’t come when I call her but will snuggle at night. Yes I know she may have medical problems but all I can do is make her best life right now.
THAT PUPPY IS SO DANG CUTEEEE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊❤❤😊❤😊😊❤😊❤
They are beautiful and adorable ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have 2 cavies so Of COURSE I love this!!
I have always loved this dog breed. God bless them, one and all. 💖
I have one and she absolutely seeks out children when she hears one. Very friendly, outgoing and socialble. I wake up to snuggles and kisses, she sleeps resting her head on my shoulder. Love this breed. Suzie Q is her name and she's 6 months old.
I had one and i loved her to bits however its important to know that this breed gets really bad separation anxiety and loves to be around their owner all the time so its vital to consider this if you're out working long hours.
Confirmed its the happiest dog on planet ❤
So cute i wish i hade adopt one
They are definitely some of the prettiest dogs out there
They have cranial issues relating to their breed. This means they will have chronic headaches.
Good. Put all dogs down.
No they don't, just admit you don't like the breed.
"Of course it is, I can tell..." 😂
What a mouthful of a name.
As long as you don't go to a breeder for it
These dogs have a headache all the time. I am disappointed to see that @naturelense does not say anything about the problems these dogs have. They are one of the worst dogs when it comes to genetic problems.
We have a Charles spaniel just now when we found out that it was in a cage .we can feet her loads of stuff becuase of been starved and skinny . We love her so much .she is now hyper lol..
Beautiful little dog,
So pretty and adorable!!
Omg that dog is cute
I Love them and thinking about getting one
If you do, you absolutely need to properly research what you're getting yourself into with them - medical fees that might easily go into the thousands. These guys are predisposed for all sorts of terrible, chronic health issues, including awful neurological and heart conditions. They're sweet, but breeding them is absolutely unethical and no dog should have to pay such a terrible price just to look cute and have a nice temperament. As a vet helper, I've never met one who was completely healthy.
Pay to put one down instead.
@@cateatfood6634You’re As cruel as those that support unethical breeding, thinking a dog breed deserves nothing but death.
@@vinvyl957 Not just a sigular breed, but 99%. Keep dogs that have genetics to be useful to us, which is like only 4.
Aww so cute dog 🥰
"playful, great with children, outgoing"
*looks at my 13 year old senior cavalier* yeah sure definitely doing all those things and not sleeping all day
(its ok she's still my little princess and i love her)
They’re so cute i wanna cry😂
I honestly agree! I have 4 of these dogs (+ One Westie) and they are the BEST!
I love this dog breed and colour
We love ours. We have a lot of people in our neighborhood who are afraid of dogs, and it is very nice to walk a dog who loves everyone and whose natural response to a screaming child is to lie down calmly and wait patiently.
That said, he has a real stubborn streak, was incredibly reluctant to be housebroken, and neutering destroyed his amazingly lustrous coat (that’s common with the breed, but most vets don’t know about it). If you want to understand the difference between trainability and intelligence, this is the breed to watch (aww! but true).
This breed really shines with strangers, as well as with invalids. Bless their sweet hearts.
Little love bugs! ❤️❤️❤️
I want this... I need this... I will have cats and small pets until I don't have to work full time anymore and then I get that!
You should look into the MYRIAD of medical condition these dogs are predisposed for. They are absolutely horrible, including neurological issues and heart conditions. Breeding them is nothing short of unethical and if you really want to adopt one, you need to be prepared to spend thousands on medical fees. Believe me when I say that as a vet helper assisting a cardiologist, I've never seen a single dog of this breed that had no chronic health issues.
@@han_mt It scares me that aparently checking for issues in dog breeds seems to be something only I think of... Because I never get a pet without checking first, what it needs and any problems I can get with that pet. Well I can assure you that I just collect a wishlist fo rnow and will check later! But I don't have to do that anymore thanks to you :D
But they are so fricking cute... Any cute dog breeds without a medical history of doom?
I'm happy that's the case! You wouldn't believe how many people simply don't do any research at all, it can get really disheartening at times.
The vet I work with always says "miniature pinschers are commonly seen as the healthiest breed, but that might just be because they're not seen that often" haha. From my own experience though, among the dogs I know that have reached really old age for a dog (16+), most are chihuahuas. Like many small breeds, they might have dental issues or eye problems though. Other smaller breeds that are considered on the healthier side include the Maltese, Bichon Frisé, Yorkshire terrier and beagle.
@@han_mt Oh I heard about that! Big dogs simply don't grow old! They just don't...
Dont bother with dogs. Just have cats. Dogs are trash.
What a precious sweetheart, so beautiful.
King of dogs😂
LOL
There extremely cute!
Lucky Dog. 👑🐕
I have one of these dog I love them❤
Awww they're so cute and precious
Maravilloso Cavalier.. los adoro.

From chilling on the coach, hiking trails, or going through agility courses, my Cavaliers are just happy to be with me. Truly the most loving dogs
The demon slayer one at the got me😂
Love these!
My aunt absolutely adores this breed of dog! She has a puppy that's turning a year old in September.
Before, she had one that unfortunately passed away. When they first got her, she was really sick. She beat the odds and lived to 11.
Not one mention of those glorious ears?
Great with children,
Starts to consceipt a baby into the army💀

I saw a cavaleir wearing as tanjro so cute
Cute 🥺
THAT NAME IS TOO COOL FOR A DOG LIKE THAT.
IM DYING THE PONY TAIL
I have 6, we do dog shows! they are extremely tolerant with children which was important for me. I love spaniels but om not super active person or hunt so i when i found out about cavaliers it was perfect breed for my lifestyle.
Such a beautiful dog. You will fall in love
They are great with children definetly😃
Nice dog❤
I love how it was dragging the baby😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I saw one that was a puppy at an apartment complex and it cuddled on me while I was petting. I fell in love
OH MY GOODNESS!!!❤❤❤❤❤ I LOVE EMMM
I want this breed so bad
so cute
We had one when I was growing up, his name was Tyson. He passed away just after my son was born. RIP Tyson, your family misses you little guy.
I've never heard anything bad about them, they're so sweet!
My nan always had this breed and they all had long and healthy lives. It might be that the gene pool in the UK is more diverse though, idk
So true❤
So Adorable 😊. Thank you for sharing this beautiful dog.
My old neighbour has one and the funny thing is that dogs name is Charlie 😂
They are extremely cute :3
As a vet helper... don't get one. They are super sweet but unfortunately they all are predisposed for terrible medical issues, including awful neurological issues and heart conditions. Breeding them is just absolutely unethical.
Or just buy from a reputable breeder with extensive medical records. Like a normal person. Stop telling people what to do.
@@AtheAethelinghe’s not telling u what to do,he’s just asking you not to get one because they will probably live in pain their entire life
And their diseases aren’t curable
I love these little guys! I want one 😊
a cavapoo has basically the same personality without all the health problems
aww i have 2 of them and i love them so much ❤
"They love being groomed". Meanwhile, mine screams like a Husky... :D
love this breed sm! we just lost our beloved tri-color daisy last month. which is why i’m commenting here. something that gets over looked A LOT with cavalier king charles is their HEARTS. almost every king charles cavalier gets englarged hearts around the age of 7 and it comes with a diagnosis which i honestly can’t remember the name of. the hear basically expands and takes up space from their lungs and over all messes with their bodies. most cavaliers age ranges are 8-11. to treat their condition properly costs THOUSANDS of dollars and it doesn’t over all fix anything. it just kind of controls the situation. 90% of cavaliers pass from their heart issue, which is what happened to our sweet baby. eventually the heart gets so enlarged and swollen the body just can’t take it anymore. it’s a miserable way to go but it’s just part of the breed.
one thing i say before i go, I. AM. NOT. A. VET. when we got daisy i learned SO MUCH about the breed. i went to every vet appointment and was genuinely interested in the breed history and all.
Day 4 of asking him for a video on mini cowboy dogs please:)) half corgi/Australian cattle dog.
awwwwww
I am currently Petsitting 4 of them & have numerous vids of them on my channel - they are an amazing breed!!
We got a Cavalier King Charles rescue and she is the easiest dog I’ve ever owned. She is very sweet and definitely has a unique personality. She is very laid back and chill, unless she is hungry then she won’t stop bothering me lol. Their ears can be very prone to infections though, just a heads up to anyone thinking of adopting one.
I have one and they are sweet little babies.
My family have had 4 and I've had friends with them. They are the sweetest little dogs. I don’t know if this is coincide or the breed but they are totally chill about fireworks and love to watch them.
I am overjoyed to see I video about my favourite dog breed
Plus there's the permapuppy face.❤
They‘re basically tiny Golden Retrievers.
Super super friendly but also sensitive and quite attached to their humans.
They‘re a full time job and more like a Cat in that regard than a normal dog.
My dream breed ❤
I have one she we didn’t teach her and she knows how to lay down and roll over 😇
And known to be heavy on health issues
It's Korone!
