David Draiman....THE best male vocalist out there. Can go from baritone to tenor, clear as crystal to rasp and back on a dime. Has a "timber" to his voice that I've never heard before. Can sound like an angel or the devil and all parts in between. What a powerful voice. And Dan can rip the lead guitar and John the bass.....awesome band! Awesome singer!
the only one who is comparable IMO was chester bennington from linkin park, i think chester was even better but that may just be personal preference
but now that chester is dead, david draiman is the best vocalist alive for sure

Yo I love Disturbed David Draiman has one of the best vocals ever and I'm so glad you chose a song that ain't so mainstream they have so many great songs and this is one of their lesser-known but it's still amazing
David is classically trained Opera Singer. His back story is unique. Going to become a Rabbi like his grandfather he was introduced to the world of heavy metal and loved it
Absolutely love Disturbed, so how the hell did I miss this song? Thought I had heard every Disturbed song. David's voice, Dan's guitar work, Mike's drumming & John's bass playing are awesome. David Draiman had another band for a couple of years called "Device" which I think was kind os a side project back in 2012 while Disturbed were on Hiatus. They only released one album but some pretty good songs with a few Guest vocalists and musicians.
It's my al ltime favourite song
Disturbed is one of those bands that do sound the same live as on an album. He has a very powerful voice. Dont know which songs you checked out before but I definitely recommend these ones

the first time anybody hears down with the sickness the child abuse part is always weird, but if you can get over it its an amazing song for sure

Disturbed has alot of great artistry in their work. I know people memed a bit on "Down with the Sickness" when it first came out, but these guys have just continued to improve themselves as they've gone along.

You want another powerful vocalist? dUg Pinnick with King's X. dUg also plays a 12 string bass frequently. Check out "Dogman" to start.
King's X is their own blend of The Beatles, Sly & the Family Stone, and Robin Trower with the heaviness of Black Sabbath. They are quasi-metal sometimes. Their material is pretty diverse.
Devin Townsend has his solo stuff which is very diverse, Devin Townsend Project which is very powerful and uplifting and his old band, Strapping Young Lad, which is extreme metal. All of his music is just amazing. Try "Kingdom" on EMG TV for starters.
Ayreon is prog metal with guest vocalists from so many metal and rock bands. Some of them are Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Floor Jansen (Nightwish), Devin Townsend, Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), James LaBrie (Dream Theater), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) and so many more. Try "The Day That the World Breaks Down" as an introduction.

Type O Negative (October Rust! Incredible album, check out tracks Haunted, In Praise of Baccus, Peter Steele's vocals are incredible! Particularly when he sings in deep bass, floor rumbling. Type O are known for their slow metal and quite bewitching) Speaking of great vocalists, Sevendust, Lajon Witherspoons vocals are incredibly powerful and dynamic; Corey Glover from Living Colour, man what ride your gonna have! haha.
Testament! (bay area thrash you cannot go wrong, Souls of Black is their best work by far)

I would say that Disturbed and Slipknot both came out in the Numetal era and were considered as such. Although, they have both evolved in different ways that have headed away from that genre.
Check out the band Device which the singer from Disturbed is in! For some reason they split up for awhile and the singer formed Device, but it still has that Disturbed sound tho!
That industrial sound was dope
I believe they temporarily split up to focus on some other projects and to find some inspiration again. I'm glad they did it! Love the music they came out with after the split
