It's around when David's girlfriend committed suicide - and details how he was tempted to do the same as it would mean he might see her again in the afterlife. "Release your life to begin another time with her...." "Take your place inside the fire with her"
@@barsandbarbells2022 David has said that the song is from the viewpoint of the devil trying to talk him into killing himself so he can be with her in hell.
"Hold Onto to Memories" (this will be played at my memorial and ""The Light" is super inspiring! These guys makes songs with meaning (even Down With the Sickness)
Thanks for reacting to this video guys. The more people talk and share this subject the more it helps regardless of where the message comes from. Disturbed is just the best. The entire 'Indestructible' album from start to finish is a banger. The Night is a great track and the title track is an absolute banger!!
You guys should check out Disturbed's "Down with the Sickness". Though I recommend watching the lyric video as it the music video only has the edited version of the song. I'll leave a link to it here: th-cam.com/video/FhnfSqVvJZU/w-d-xo.html
Subject matter is real in all of Disturbed songs, people can relate, like this song losing a loved one and the many thoughts one has, I’m speaking from experience similar to this story, in the song voice tell him basically you can join her if you take a bullet, no more missing her or feelings of any kind, this song saved me from myself and millions of others. So thanks for playing this song. I’ve listened to metal since 1993 and have yet to come across a Metal band that praised anything evil, the devil nothing even close to it, absent minded individuals who don’t take time to look into the facts of a song hear dark words and think satin worship going on here, no no no bands take a piece of human history and bring it to life, see blood, hear evil voices in the songs is usually the person in the wrong, hated one, evil, the guilty etc… good/bad, right/wrong, it’s our inner thoughts, our wars, dictators, abuser thing we all relate to an extent. Anyway Disturbed is this generations Megadeath and Metallica. Great stories one can look up and read the articles fill in blanks, or prove to themselves it’s not evil it’s the thoughts in humans mind and the horrible realities in one life, so don’t be afraid if your religious, the church/religion is the most evil thing in the world has been for thousands of year, preying on the week minded individuals who believe two individuals same color turns into 8 different colors of humans? Oh I could go on but as a former Priest of 16 years I realized how childish and similar to Santa clause, tooth fairy, Easter bunny etc, so I left the church and now own a couple business and Metal music is my go to, Slayer is a Metal band u probably have yet to listen but is my go too, the story telling and the playing of the instruments that tells most of the story in all metal music 2nd to nun,😂 don’t think your ready for that Band yet still a lot green yet it shows, love the channel guys.
He is actually being tempted by the Devil (or in Jewish terms- The Adversary) to join a loved one in Hell after having witnessed the suicide of the person in question. The Devil is telling him that she is lost to him forever, and he is powerless to stop it. His only recourse, if he wishes to see her again, is to take his own life and commit his soul to eternal damnation, hence the song's title- Inside the Fire..
It's a mind trip of emotions. It's an awesome song, Dan on guitar is an absolute monster but the subject matter is sad. Live and in person is so much more emotional because he still deals with mental issues and you can hear it in his voice during this song. Saw them last year in Indy and will be again in a couple weeks.
David Draiman's girlfriend committed s*icide when he was 18. He intentionally overdosed on heroin so he could join her. He woke up and realized he wanted to live and near touched the drug again. He still struggles with mental health and is completely open about it with his fans. Yes Devon was forsaken as a child and it eventually lead to her ending her life. I highly recommend The Light and A Reason to Fight they are brilliant life uplifting and empowering songs that are a lighter metal sound.
"The Light". One of the most powerful and uplifting songs I've ever heard. I personally feel you guys would love it. Also, their song "The Night"....that one is just waiting to be added to your workout playlists. Jus' sayin....🤷♂️😁
I listened to this song/with the lyrics before I ever saw the video. This really touched me deeply. I’m the survivor of 3 suicide attempts, thank god I sucked at it. Suicide is an extremely selfish act but when you’re in that frame of mind you don’t think about how it will affect others. Once you understand that the shame can be almost as bad as the feelings that led to it in the first place. The official LIVE video of A REASON TO FIGHT shows how much he has become an advocate for addiction and depression. David is an amazing person who cares very deeply and it shows in his anger at the world as it is. Many, actually most of his videos reflect this. I’m a new subscriber, actually here for Pentatonix. Yeah I get whiplash between them and Disturbed. I am NOT a metal fan but after Sound of Silence I dove into their catalog. I’m a huge David fan and if he’s singing, I’m listening. But I still don’t like metal. 😁 I’m a Pentaholic since the beginning and really enjoy your reactions to them. So…More Disturbed and PTX…🙏🏼 🤗💋🥰
As a recent widow, your first thought is to join your loved one then you find the will to go online. I miss him but the last thing he would want is me tolius join him. He died of a heart attack.
I remember when this song came out, and a bunch of guys I worked with had this on their workout playlist and I asked them, "have you listened to the lyrics? You know what the song is talking about?" None had paid attention as the song was just really well done musically that they didn't even pay attention to the lyrics.
Such as emotionally strong song. As someone who has lost loved ones to suicide, I can relate to the message being told. It is not any easy thing to deal with. Disturbed has so many great songs with deep meaning they are one of the best bands that cover touch topics. Another song by Disturbed I highly recommend is The Light.
Phil Disturbed plays a lot of songs that reflect today's environment. Welcome to Disturbed Rabbit Hole. They did an awesome cover of Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence so good that Paul Simon mentioned that he loved it!
The first time I watched this video/heard the song was upsetting. I had to watch it again immediately because of the impact it had. I closed my eyes so I could hear the music. Loved it. This is one of, if not, the most powerful songs I've ever heard, with the video gnawing into my soul. Music can touch the soul, although sometimes giving a gut punch.
I feel like you should listen to, and would enjoy: A Reason to Fight - Disturbed Gone Away - Five Finger Death Punch (cover of a song by Offspring) Wrong Side of Heaven - Five Finger Death Punch
here's a sum up of the story david was dating a girl, she was a bit of a trouble maker and David comes from a very religious and strict house hold, he did love her though david had to stop seeing her, and she took her own life due to it and he has felt very guilty for a long time due to it, and even planned to join her during some parts so this song was kind of him letting go of those thoughts and forgiving himself (this is just from memory, so some details might be wrong)
David also admitted that he thought about suicide when he got divorced a couple of years ago. There is a video here in TH-cam of a concert in which he made that statement publicly. He broke down while telling the story and the crowd came to his aid. A real touching moment it is.
I've only been subscribed to you for a little while but I appreciate how you let the song play and get into it for a good while before pausing and sharing your thoughts. Keep up the good work.
It was really cool how they did this live. I was telling some friends about it and I took pictures and recorded the whole time at the concert but this part I just couldn’t for some reason and it would’ve been awesome to record because they did this really good public service announcement with the disturbed mascot? It was really awesome.
He’s says that certain religious beliefs say you go to hell if you commit suicide and that a demon is trying to make him commit suicide so he can see her again
They've always been a very solid band, though I did get a bit worn out on his monkey vocals at times....but ehy have a lot of bangers, and a really good band to hit the gym to. Orbit Culture is a band you need to try....While We Serve and Strangler will make you feel certain ways.
You’re missing out on a great act by not reacting to top 70s uk group Slade, 6 No.1s with 3 entering at top spot, along with many other top 10 hits. Cum on feel the Noize is a popular choice which was covered by Quiet Riot in the 80s, Ozzy Osbourne describes Noddy as having one of best voices in rock and Noel Gallagher said without Slade there’d be no Oasis
I disagree. As a recent survivor, any awareness is important. I used to listen to nothing but what I deemed “angry music”. That genre needs to be reached even more.
My recommendation would be to never watch a music video for a first time song listen. Some music videos are great out there but it's still distracts you from listening to the music and trying to catch the lyrics
Heads up ! Don't ever react to the Eagles . They always get butthurt and put strikes on reactors . You both seem nice and you don't need that in your lives .
The guitarist in Nu Metal ( if thats whay you call it)? Not a fan. All sound the same, generic soulless tone. You can be heavy with a greasy tone( think Tony Iommi). This abrasive and unlistenable. In the late 80's we had Living Colour's Vernon Reid, The Cult's Billy Duffy,.Kings X Ty Tabor all influencing what was to come in the 90's and beyond. Since then not much unique and new. All conform to a formula. Great frontmen and lyrics but guitarsts? G for generic.
And also it’s because a couple years ago right around the pandemic I’d say David Draymond says that he basically attempted suicide on himself, so that’s why he’s so hard-core behind it these days after surviving it
Same public service announcement, but wrong song, the concert it was the other song about suicide and giving up that they added the public service announcement to not this song. This song doesn’t go with it.
It's around when David's girlfriend committed suicide - and details how he was tempted to do the same as it would mean he might see her again in the afterlife. "Release your life to begin another time with her...." "Take your place inside the fire with her"
That adds a whole other layer to the song!
thas fucked
@@barsandbarbells2022 David has said that the song is from the viewpoint of the devil trying to talk him into killing himself so he can be with her in hell.
You two should definitely get into more Disturbed. They have A LOT of great songs and all with special meanings.
Indestructible is a good one
"See her? You'll never free her, you must surrender it all if you like to meet again." is one of the most impactful sentence in the lyrics 4:21
"Hold Onto to Memories" (this will be played at my memorial and ""The Light" is super inspiring! These guys makes songs with meaning (even Down With the Sickness)

Land Of Confusion by Disturbed! 😎🔥🤘🎸
One or the first Disturbed songs I ever heard. The subject is frightening, but it should be addressed seriously.

The Light by Disturbed! 😎🔥🤘🎸
For a more upbeat song from Disturbed, react to their official video, “The Light”.
This is one of my favorite songs by them. This is a true story
Alice Coooer- Billion Dollar Babies ( 73) with Donavan
Hugely influential. Essential reaction

I lost my nephew to suicide about 4yrs ago. Uncle Shawn loves and misses you Jaime!! And moms with you now buddy!! I love and miss you so much!!!
Now I’m anxiously awaiting the looks on your faces to Down With the Sickness 😅

It's on the workout playlist now - which seems kind of weird but it works 🤷♂️ 🤷♀️
Spoken from the perspective of the devil. Inside the fire, release your life to begin another time with her.
Check out Stupufy! Disturbed's first single it's fantastic.
There are many stages of grief, anger is one of them.
The intros on this whole album are just brilliant
Please check out Who Taught you How to Hate. It's not a super popular song but is so good and a great message.
Absolutely One of Disturbed’s best.

Thanks Marc for all your great requests!
Never had a problem picking up the words or the visuals, idk how anyone could miss any of it unless they're just unable to process life
Hey Guys I saw Disturbed open for Slipknot at the Mayhem Monster Fest. I had to take my son he was 14 at the time. It was pretty wild
A great dad by the sounds of things! 😂
Just saw these guys live for the first time they were excellent!
Ya know you can google the lyrics separate from the video captions and print 2 copies and then you're golden...
🤘😃
BANGER! 🔥
wow dude you got it straight away
Watch Disturbed - Indestructible

Great band and message, thanks guys! 🤘😎
Music should never be censored no matter what the subject is its just wrong.
Excellent reactions, recommended Civil War Guns n Roses, thank you. Good vibes, blessings. 💚💛❤️
How can you not understand him it's very clear
He’s says that certain religious beliefs say you go to hell if you commit suicide and that a demon is trying to make him commit suicide so he can see her again
Hi ! that s old # the new # for suicide help is 988 !😎
Buena reacción y analisis

End your grief with me, theres another way
If you do Down with the Sickness do a lyric version DO NOT do the music video a portion is cut out
Have you watched "down with the sickness " ?
Good video reaction

I do not like this guys music at all. He ruined Sound of Silence. Yep its is disturbed. Too bad.
