New subscriber and new fisherwoman here. I started last April and I've been in love with bream fishing ever since. I'm excited about this year and I'm greatful for all of the tips you've shared. I love your video and your enthusiasm. Bless you sir
Glad you are getting some tips from the videos. Bream fishing is a beautiful and fun fish to fish for. I Hope you Catch some good size Bream this year. I appreciate you watching, subscribing and your Comments. Thank you and Bless you too
YANK!!! Another good day of fishing! That water sure looks calm and smooth like glass. Keep up the good work. You have the right size tackle to be dangerous lol. Great video. Thanks for sharing!!
Still some of my favorite fishing in the world, and definitely my favorite fish to eat. Fried whole!! That little channel cat will be a great addition to the fish fry, too. God bless!
Great video man. I'm new to fishing last year and I really like bobber fishing for bream. They taste great and fight hard! I also see that the Shakespeare Micro Series rods have some fans online, I'll have to try one out. I'm an angler on a budget!
Thank you. Yes Bream are some of the best fighting fish out there for their size. Great fighters and great to eat. these Shakespeare micro series rods are excellent rods for the price. Hard to beat. And I love my fan, helps me stay cool with in this super hot heat. Definitely a budget fisherman.
Tie a loop knot for the jig head so that it is always sitting correct in the water. In most cases it doesn't matter, depends what's on the hook. Another good video!
Find the beds. Throw crickets on top of the water then drop your poles with cricket bait and you pull in all you can handle .I've caught 150 in one day in Alabama back in the day
@FishYanker gotta get in a river or lake with little inlets. I was in south Alabama in Satsuma ...little town. You could smell the fish beds. It was crazy...I miss those times.
Im loving your videos. Showing others that u don't need this 10-20 thousand dollar boat to enjoy the love and sport of fishing. So thank you. And speaking of boat, do u have a video of your boat set up. I have 14ft jon boat and needing some ideas. Especially trying to find a way to mount the trolling motor to the front. Thank u in advance and can't wait to see your next video!!
Yes sir. Here is a video my boat. setup. th-cam.com/video/CucUzUxDYdM/w-d-xo.html I am glad you are enjoying the videos. I appreciate you watching. thank you.
When sliding the bobber stopper on your line make sure it’s stays wet to I’ve never use a jig head yet but like the smallest split shots I can buy And Eagle claw bobber stopper are still hard to find luckily the honey hole tackle shop here in west Monroe keep them in stocks Need a auto pilot trolling motor know I love mine can move it from my kayak to mini pontoon boat
I actually do have that very rod! I LOVE them, except they aren't very durable. I do a lot of fishing in flooded brush, and I have broken the tips on a few. Regardless the backbone and action are perfect for panfish. I have a 5'6" and a 7', and use them.both a lot.
I'll buy them off of Amazon. Yes I am using large size on 6 lb test but you can use a small size stopped on top and it'll stay on a little snugger. There is some tackle shops that sell them also but they're pretty reasonable price for quite a few online.
Hell yeah I can’t wait till it warms up here so I can target them water here still cold not a single sunfish or panfish around but when it warms up their everywhere
@@FishYanker yeah here in oregon it’s still cold we had snow falling in March and April no spring here we get skipped every year hahaha but yeah I can’t wait till it warms up to target these panfish
Please do a "catch, clean, cook" video so we can see how you eat them! I filet them, do the egg wash, then dredge them in a mixture of flour, corn meal, and whatever spices we have on hand at the time. Gotta have onion and garlic powders to do it right.
I like to use side imaging. You can see the circles on the bottom. You can adjust the width of side imaging so you can see up to 300 ft on each side of the boat or you know down to 20 or 30 ft. Pretty handy tool for searching for bream beds.
It's big enough if you got good eyes but I agree with them bigger is better easy on the eyes. if you can get bigger I would. Look on the Bass pro website right now they are having a sale. they have a Garmin you can do the same thing plus later on buy a live scope transducer and you'll be fully loaded. The Garmin 10-in is on sale for $1,000 regular $2100
Hey Yank, I love me some bluegill just like the next man but Brother why ain’t you floating some minnows and catching these big crappie that are moving? 😊 Great Video Brother!! 😊
I am using the jig head with nightcrawlers. the color of the jig head draws their attention and then when they get to the bait they smell it, see it and eat it.
At my local pond "bream" wont bite my soft plastics or any lure of that matter i even down sized an matched my bait to my hook . Used crickets too no bites anyhting i try
Yes sir. I would try 3 different times of the day if you can. Morning and then between one or two in the afternoon and the evening about 2 hours before dark. One thing about worms you can throw them out there and leave them in one spot for a while they should eventually nibble at them. Also don't forget to try close to the bottom during the hot parts of the day. Good luck. I hope you get them to bite.
Yes But I use them to have more control and easy adjustments. You can see a lot more bites when using slip bobbers on top and bottom. Plus the bobber slides down to the stopper not the knot on the hook
Love your videos but, please fix that drag. It’s so annoying to me. Should not need a light drag setting for bluegills unless you using 2-lb test line. Keep the videos coming and keep yanking them!
Thank you, I will try my best. The problem I have is my hook set is fast and hard. It's a habit I got into when I was a kid from bass fishing. If I set it too tight, I snap off my hook. It's happens if I set my drag for Crappie fishing and then I jump over to bream fishing and they're a little stronger fighters. But yes I will try to improve. Thank you for watching.
Yes Sir. I use 6.lb fishing line. You could use 4.lb test to get out there a little further, but you have to be careful by looSening your drag some more, or you might pop the line setting the hook.
Hey buddy I really like the way you explain things. It helps the beginners to understand what you are doing. Great job thanks 😊
Thank you. I appreciate that. Hopefully it will help some to catch more fish.

Yes sir. Thank you
Thanks for all the important details. I appreciate it!!! Love your channel.
Yes sir. hope the tips will help. Thank you and I appreciate you watching Larry
Great tips. Slip cork is definitely my favorite bobber style to use. Much more versatile than a clip on
Thank you. Yes I will still use a clip on If I have to but I prefer a slip.

will be a great addition to the fish fry, too. God bless!
Yes sir. Love me some bluegill And I like catfish with lemon and onion. Thank you Hook Line and Singer. God bless.
I see you found some good ones, happy days are here again lol
LoL 🤣 yes sir. I am ready hope we get some good ones this summer.
@@FishYanker so do I brother
What's the purpose of having two bobber stops? Top one I get, but the bottom I'm not sure.
I put one close to my jig with a knot so it stops before it hits the top of the jig. Keeps the paint on the jig longer.
Hello from Michigan. Great video, looks like you were on them that day. Those males are fun to catch!
Thank you. Yes sir, it was a good day 😄
love brim fishing and eating

@@FishYanker awsome!! Thank you so much. Also, have you tried using a thermocell for those gnats?
No not yet. I will have to try that. I did find out that Avon's skin So soft works if you cover your skin good. Thank you
@@FishYanker your the second person i heard say that. Ill have to try that for these gnats in georgia
It does work but you have to oil down. It's got a oily base to it.

Do you filet those or fry them hole
I fillet the bigger ones and whole Fry a couple my wife loves fillet fish
What body of water is that? I am in Alabama. I am just wondering if my conditions will be similar to yours.
This is the Cache River here in Arkansas
Good catching,, nice fish. where did you purchase your bobber stops and they are large size correct

Yes I plan on doing some catch clean cook soon Thank you longshort3 I am basically waiting on a warm dry weekend, we've been getting so much rain.
What town you put into the river at?
Mostly biscoe
Nice, I usually duck hunt out there but never fished
Yeah a lot of people never fish over here because the river's muddy. But if you follow the Creeks up into the lakes it clears up.
Awesome video
Thank you
Love the content, I bream fish with a fly rod!

I’ve noticed that usually when ya get in a nest of the blue gill/bream you’ll usually hook a cat or two.
Yes, they must be up around them feeding.
Very nice 👍
Thank you
What River or lake did you record this great bluegill video on ?
This is a lake fed by flood waters from the White and Cache rivers

That's true. Time on the water is where it's at. Just hoping to help experience and New anglers to have a couple extra tips in Their tackle box.

Yes sir it is a bluegill. We call all of them bream here. Including the red ear shell crackers. It's just an easy way to put them all together.
Be willing to adapt. You should be catching fish fast. Change techniques until you start catching fish!
