    This is the most educational video I've seen on TH-cam in a long time most people just throw a cork out with a worm or Cricket on it and say I got one but some of them don't tell what bait they using what type of line they using they just say there's a bed off fish over there but you also showed it I like the method that you use for kitchen shell crackers I raise worms for about 20 years and this year I got some European I used to raise wiggler and little Reds the shell crackers like the wigglers the best here and Cordele Georgia the watermelon capital of the world thanks for the video

      @tootnguyen2001 I feed pellets in my pond through the summer. Bluegill and catfish hit them pretty hard. I never see the shellcrackers eat pellets. However, I think they eat some of the ones that sink. I have caught some after feeding that had pettets in their stomach.

    What lens is best for muddy water

    • @midsouthoutdoors7321
      @midsouthoutdoors7321  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      GoPro lens? I have no idea. I doubt a lens would help in muddy water. I used mine in my pond and it is fairly clear maybe a bit cloudy and the video was not good enough. The fish needed to be within 4 to 6 inches of the camera to see with any clarity.

    • @JumboPlug368
      @JumboPlug368 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gotcha thats cool i shouldve asked better i meant what fishing glasses lenses are berst for merky water like a lake or pond

    • @midsouthoutdoors7321
      @midsouthoutdoors7321  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JumboPlug368 I use the sunrise yellow lenses because I use mine in early morning light a lot. Amber lenses are supposed to produce brighter vision and high contrast, you might try those. But they do not catagorize them by water clarity. They catagorize them by how much light you have. Muddy water is just going to be tough. Most of the time, all you see is a shadow. Even then, the fish needs to be near the surface.

    I'd watch screwing around with a raccoon like that Expeacially when he's that docile. Somethings not right. He's probably rabid or something. You usually don't see them out in the daytime their usually nocturnal most of the time.

    How do you pinpoint day one of the spawn?

    • @midsouthoutdoors7321
      @midsouthoutdoors7321  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only way to do it is to be on the water. Here in my area, I start watching throughout the last week of April and keep watching until I start seeing beds or those cloudy spots in the water. It is mostly water temperature. So, if winter drags on, it will push them back a bit. If it's warm early, they may spawn a bit early. You have to keep a watch to be sure.
