YANK!!! Man oh man what a stringer of bluegills! Them things are on steroids! Them babies have some girth. You need one of them fish baskets to put them in. Great video. Thanks for sharing!!
Nice. I Like catching them on the beetle spin also. Lots of fun, But they are just getting ready here. It's been rainy and cold here almost all of month of May
You know that I like the sound of that drag. You were catching some really big bluegills in this video. You are going to get some good filets out of these brutes. Thanks for sharing my friend !!
Here in Wisconsin we don't have Bream and Redears just big Ole Regular Bluegills! I wish I could post pics cause I have been slaying some slobs (9 to 11") the last 5 days! They are just moving to the shallows in the cold Wisconsin clear water! I prefer a #8 Gamakatsu Octopus hook a small splitshot loaded with a small to medium leech on a light or Ultralight Rod! These fish are my favorite thing to fish for! They fight better lb for lb than any other fish! Great video, loved watching you catch those monsters!
Nice! Sounds like you guys got some big slabs. You are right they are the best fighter there is pound for pound. Fun fighting and great eating. Thank you and I appreciate you watching Matt
7:10 I have a question and a suggestion. Question; in another video, you were fish and Croppie, and putting them in a cooler, is there a difference or a reason that you’re putting these bluegill on a stringer? Suggestion; when using that stringer just unclip all the clips all at once, so you don’t have to do it with a fish in your hand.
Great tip about opening the stringer. Well I just bought this stringer and was testing it out. So I loaded it up with the catch of the day. What I plan on doing is continue putting my bream, crappie and other panfish in the cooler and have the stringer for extra larger fish I may keep like catfish, Gar or other fish.
@@FishYanker Hey, thanks for the reply! I’m new to fishing and trying to make some choices on my initial setup so I appreciate you taking the time for my question.
I rig mine the same way. I think it rained last Friday and then sat and sun the temp was significantly lower and the fish were not feeding good. I went this evening didn't get there til 6 and still caught a bunch they were biting pretty good today.
Hello ! What are the size and name of that float you are using in this TH-cam video and what are the name and size of that spinning rod and reel you are using in this TH-cam video also please. Thank you so much 🙏🙏
Rod and reel is a Abu Garcia Max X10 spinning reel and the rod is a Shakespeare micro series light action rod 5 ft 6. Slip bobber is a northland lite bite. I also like to use thill slip bobbers.
@@FishYanker Yank I got on some Shellcracker earlier and one actually straightened my hook and got off, well he bent it enough to get off!!! A lil number 8 Aberdeen long shank hook!!! Had to be at least a 1lb I'm guessing!!! U ever had this happen
Yes I have on a long shank hook. I love shell crackers there super fighters. It hurts my feelings a little bit when I lose a good one like that. You may get him again he's probably on the spawning bed.
I actually plan on using it for other fish. I just wanted to test it this round. Probably going to use it for gar or snake head or even catfish. Mainly fish that might be too big for my cooler. I'll be going back to the cooler. Thank you Sista Slab
It's just a safety pin stringer that I bought at the bait shop. I took one Hook off and slipped on a rubber fuel line that I bought from the parts store. They had some neon colors. It helps cut down the noise dragging on the side of the boat.
😂 I all most always end up catching a couple Bass no matter what I'm fishing for. That's usually the way it works. hard to catch the ones you're after. 😆
@@thegospeloffishing3754 we sure do! I catch bream like this at Benoit fishing club, Benoit,Mississippi in Mississippi we call these shell crackers.🙏🏻🇺🇸💯🤙🏻

I see lots of bubbles and some areas are really muddy not sure what to doing that. But I have not seen one yet. There is a lot of places to hide over here in the swamp though. I have already seen the alligator snapping turtles they're in here. They have spikes all over on the there back.
@@FishYanker I'd be too scared to go into the swamps/black river places where I live... lol, we have gators and they could be lurking anywhere in the waterways. :D Thanks for your response!! Have a blessed fishing day!

Anytime. Glad to help as much as I Can. When you get all set up, I hope you catch some good ones.
Didn't you use a zebec .22 bullet one time? Those fish would sure give you Great fight with one of those!
I have used one long time ago. But I like the speed of these spinning reels. I can keep up with them when they're running.
Those fish hanging over the side of the boat will attract snakes
Yes sir they sure will. I only put big fish on there now, ones that won't fit in my cooler.

What type of line do you use for this reel and fishing?
Just watched to the part of the video where it says haha
