I NEED YOUR HELP POOR HEATH CARE UP HERE IN UPPER WISCONSIN GIVE YOU FULL PERMISSION TO LOOK THREW
I think it’s a hamstring based on how “ familiar” it seemed to feel to him, but he hurt his right hamstring before so maybe this one won’t be as bad 🤷♂️
🙂 DR my first diagnosis was his core muscle. I didn't see any leg injures or remotely below the knees.
Few things strike more fear into sports fans like the words ‘“non contact injury”.
Non contact in football is THE worse. Hopefully it is not an ACL.
@@sunnyside9273no bs in football it’s never ever good
@@topnotchtajmahal7216thats because most of the time "no contact" is actually contact from their fake grass
Non-contact injuries is basically the body saying you haven't done this before my boy, and the body part quits. Train the way you want to play should be the motto.
@@rainbowhouse3427or it says you’ve been doing this activity a lot for a long time. I’m done doing this.
this game was a microcosm of Zion's career. Absolute dominating brilliance and catastrophic injury taking him out of the biggest moment when his team needs him most.
It's so very sad, especially since he actually made efforts to improve his health.
D-Rose feelings 😔
he still not in the right shape, n not gettin up there like he was b4. but they tryin push that injury prone narrative. hopefully he back up quick hell b aight long as he show up n go hard this offseason.
With all the talk of LA throwing the game in order to avoid Denver, one wonders if New Orleans might have the same thing in mind. it very well could be that this was precautionary. That would explain why Zion was so pissed off.
@@sfvirgoit’s the shoes he’s wearing his play style not fit for low top shoes
No wonder you couldn't tell which side he was favoring because his normal walk is a limp
That’s mean😂😂
As a Pels fan, I laughed. 😂
This situation is a microcosm of the entire Pelicans franchise.
He was hit with a few shells..
SHELLS N CHEEEEEEESEEEEEEEE
*waddle
Yep. I noticed that since he was a rookie. Always looks like he’s laboring pain
NBA gives Sutterer the script before the game. Gives him time to edit his videos.
That’s why he doesn’t even know what knee it is
Morning coffee & conspiracy theories... ☕️🤪
🤦🏽♂️
Oh no! Dr. Sutterer is another tentacle of the secret criminal cabal that is the NBA?
Joking aside, much love and respect to the Doc. And hoping for a quick recovery for Zion.
Yep. Complete script
If Zion doesnt develop a mid range jumper or 3 point arsenal. He will most likely have a short lived career due to knee injury. How long can those knees last on all those forced driving in the lane, quick low post twisting and jumping / dunking? It's not a question of if, it's a question of when.
Very true...plus teams have had pretty good success vs Zion clogging up the paint this season. He does need a mid range jumper first and foremost and if he can develop/improve shooting the 3 it'd be great.
He's just as likely to get hurt with the way he plays defense. The jumper will only help him on one end and he'd still be driving while having that jumper to keep defenders questioning him
He’s still too thick if he dropped 20 extra pounds it would increase his health
@@ozzee5094this is exactly it. It's the late minutes of the game where conditioning and health will come Into play where pure talent and gifts will shine in the first 42 minutes of the game. He lacks the discipline for that and therefore will find himself injured just like this late in games by no big accident or injury - just doing moves he does all the time when he's not tired. Then fatigue will make his body fail in those moves.
All he has in his arsenal is drive to the paint and layup or dunk
Damn you're fast! 😂
I watch his videos to see who's gonna get hurt in the future...
Indeed 😂😂😂
@@gabemartinez8321 zion will be one with that weight
You got that right!! The doctor is on it!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💯
He probably is prepared ahead of time to some extent. Injuries are apart of the game, so he probably anticipates that he may need to make a video ahead of time. Especially if the game is nationally televised.
Just when it felt like he was putting the playoffs on notice! 40 points‼️ Prayers for Zion 🙏🏽
Vegas made the call
So not miss some shots, not be passive, they made the best player fake an injury and ruin his own personal value whether it's trade value or contractually? And made the call mid game 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Nobody gotta fake a Zion injury it's been his entire career
Facts! Coach ain’t shit neither, team plays better running Zion as point because he’s an efficient facilitator or he gon drive down the paint and do what Zion does plain and simple. I love B.I but putting him in messed up team chemistry and cost them this game besides the Vegas injury BS lol
See if this was mikal bridges I’d understand but zion😂 it’s more shocking when he’s healthy than not
I thought vegas predicted pelicans win? I guess they didn't care about losing a lot that day.
I guess Vegas is forcing Zion to miss an extra game vs the kings even though he's completely healthy cause you know, Vegas. Isn't that what we're doing here? 😂😂 y'all love conspiracies that don't make sense
It was good to see him drop some weight during the year, but he is still so heavy for the way he plays. Add in how he looks just walking and you'd think he'd be working with someone on natural body mechanics. He is soooooo stiff. Hopefully it isn't too serious and he can see the benefits of losing weight this second half of the season.
Thanks for your review of this situation!
They labeled Zion’s injury just being over weight and moving like Derrick rose every play.
He gotta change his game man

I'm glad the Lakers won the game but I feel bad for Zion and pray that he recovers from his injury.
crazy they gonna get swept 😆 😆
Thanks, Doc! Appreciate the insight.
Zion was dominating Lebron and the Lakers. Zion with 40 Points bring his team back from a 12 pt deficate was in full beast mode. If I'm a Pelicans fan I'm pulling my hair out with this guy. He flashes brilliance then gets catostrophically injured.
His playstyle combined with his weight almost destines to run into injuries in deep playoff runs. With almost no shooting desire, how many full force drives to the basket can that body handle for a minimum of 16 games playoff run?
@@user-jf9fd8pc6nthe thing is he’s so efficient it’s ridiculous to change when he’s getting to the rim at will shooting like 65%
I'm frustrated as a Pels fan, but I mostly just feel horrible for him. If this ends up being serious, he's gonna miss the closest chance to being in the Playoffs of his career. And with how he seems to gain weight due to having to nurse his injuries, he's gonna ge big all over again which is gonna cause everyone to clown him again and he wouldn't be able to do anything to defend himself. It just sucks to watch all around. I can't even imagine how frustrated I would be.
@@user-zp4xp3hq8i It's not ridiculous to change if the status-quo its not sustainable and foreseeable.
Clutch sports called pelicans ownership and said get that man off the court he doin to much 😂😂😂
Brian making a video about Zion feels like a deja-vu
I wonder why people aren't mad about Brandon Ingram Cj McCollum not showing up. Putting to much on Zion whos been injury prone and puts his weight into every play. Hes constantly running players over
So now it’s BI and CJ fault they lost because Big Mac Zion got hurt?? If they would have won, you would’ve cheered with joy because Zion won the game for the pels. Willie messed up by not having his top 2 player in the final moments. I hope BI doesn’t play on Friday so that way the pels can definitely lose.
@@samborambo9364I'm a laker fan why would u put Brandon Ingram on minute restriction and not play him the final 7 minutes of the game. Anthony Davis has to show up earlier he was missing close up shots. Dlo coming back with something to prove.
cj was cold and coach should of put BI in the last minutes of the 4th quarter even if he was on minute restriction cuz if you win you get some days off to rest. BI was mad asf that coach didn't trust him
BI threw the chemistry off whether people like it or not, they play better with CJ and zion passing the ball and trey spotting up than BI taking tough mid range shots while being rusty from not playing for a month. it stagnated the whole offense
@@samborambo9364yes it’s there fualt they combined for 20 with 40 shit attempts both of them were a -15, there getting payed 33 million dollars to play and couldn’t make a shot to save there lives.
Man I feel bad for Zion.. Great vid as always doc
Adam Silver put the call in.
Yup !!
Boy y’all sad…
😂
Bingo 🎯
Womp wonp
5th metatarsal fracture from planting hard and adduction? From initial plant near 3pt line
Thankfully zion actually suffered a left leg hamstring. This is a common injury that can happen to every athlete regardless of your size and sports.
Thank you, doc.
Great info
I think it was that jab-step at the beginning of that play. I’ve gotten the same injury from the same move before. After that jab step you can kinda see him favoring that leg and then when the play finishes is when he really feels it. He just let his momentum and finesse at the rim finish the play.
🔥 New Subscriber 👌🏽
I think the impact of landing and his weight is too much strain on his knees. I have knee problems, but I notice that when I drop weight it's not as noticeable
Thank you doctor !!!!
Thank u breaking this down cause I don’t see a big impact for it to be a HAMSTRING INJURY 😵💫
I think he might have actually injured the leg (or precipitated the injury) with the block on Lebron a few minutes before he came out (~5:50 mark in the 4th). Extremely awkward landing with unnatural stress on the left hamstring.
Yea it was on the mini hop I did the exact same thing and it feel like someone sitting on yo shoulders when u tryna jump
Once Dr. started monetizing he’s got to produce more and closer to real time injury videos.
Lakers should hire you as medical staff
I think of Zion as Shaq’s upper body and Derrick Rose’s lower strength combined🤔. I think he needs to develop more leg muscle to support his upper body strength. I hope his knees can still keep up. He’s still young. Prayers up🙏🏻
git dem joker-murray vids ready. nba gon make dat call
You were correct: He’s def injured w/ a Left hamstring strain and he’s out for the next play-in game this Fri
Pray Zion comes back good good
It was that stutter step pause and than the leap off that same leg and part of the leg and landing
Shocking that his hamstring was never mentioned. He has had hamstring issues in the past that have kept him out for an extended period of time. Also, the Pelicans have been tremendously conservative with his return to play, so the assertion that it had to be something serious for him to not return to the game is not accurate when it comes to zion
Ubereats delivery arrives and he has to pick it up
Truly sad we were never able to see a fully healthy zion for an extended period of time.
hopefully he’s fine and the pels just didn’t want to play denver first round lol
I want to be as good at everything I do in life as you are in getting these quality videos out.
How do you have so much time as a doctor to make videos and post them this fast????
Lol do you doctors work 24/7 there's something calls shifts and says off plus he could be private doctor not every doctor works in a hospital
My kings playoff hopes are alive🤞
Brian, you ever thought of taking questions on a live chat for an hour or so, say once a month?
Hey doc are SI joint the case? I’m not a doctor so please correct me
Hamstring. We've all had them. Sometimes they pop for no reason at all.
10secs into video - but that footage and his mass screams meniscus and or medial ligament rupture/jar
I’m not an elite athlete but as I get older my knees just can’t handle the extra weight. I can’t imagine how Zion’s knees scream out every time he does the things he does. Man’s gotta drop 30 lbs minimum
*Accumulation. Zion did land hard on his left leg all the time (putting all his weight on it!). Plus for insurance notice Lebron Muay Thai'd his left leg after a Zion drive.*
this is why you take care of the regular season and finish the end stretch strong to avoid playing extra games
The western conference is a BEAST right now. I mean the league itself is getting incredibly competitive - that’s easier said than done. When the 10th best team in the west is Golden State, the team that won the title two years ago…. Sheesh! Denver, OKC, Lakers, Clippers, Dallas, Phoenix, Pels, Warriors - all those teams got multiple heavy hitters and stars on each team - all those games can go any way. It’s been great basketball this year all around.
Now SO many stars are plagued with injuries right now too. Jimmy Butler, Giannis, Zion, Embiid, just to name a few.
Honestly, I don’t think there should be a western and eastern conference. I think it should be 1-16 in the NBA. Then they can do a play-in for teams at 14-18 in league standings.
Zion needs a mid range jumper to take the stress of his body from driving so much.
Bummer. Was arguably the best game of his career given the circumstances. If it is another serious injury, you’d have to question his ability to ever be legitimately healthy/durable over the long run
He gave us reason in college to question his ability to stay healthy
He may grow up and follow an adult plan of health and nutrition.
My heart breaks for the Pels, Pels fans and Zion...that was their game. Also was Ingram hurt too or just benched?? Edit - they're reporting it's a hamstring strain
Calf strain?
he was informed that they need to throw the game so Lebwrong can enter playoffs
We need a kawhi knee inflammation video asap
adam silver probably called saying the Nuggets playing the Lakers in the 1st round .. just sayin' 😅
True. He has had an issue with his weight. Can loosing weight weaken his bones?
Left hamstring on left foot plant
Totally. Silly this guy didn't mention it's possibly muscular. And with Zion, especially so.
At full-speed you can see how much force he generates when planting and going up. That's a lot of force from his posterior chain.
Pooped himself
Good call it was a hamstring. You should be a doctor lol
I was waiting for this one Doc shoutout to you
Waiting for @BrianSuttererMD "No pants reveal" 😄

Why can’t you react the injury on Jarred Vanderbilt
they later released it as a hamstring injury
Holy shit that's a long ad spot

Bro are you psychic?
What about that “Lisfranc” type injury?
Because of the way he moved without a limp, one might think foot. But I can't imagine why a Jones fracture would make him susceptible to an injury to the middle part of his foot.
no!
@@Kermit_T_Frog Yeah I can’t tell but it just looked awkward. These non contact injuries are the worst IMO.
@@dabneyoffermein595 Thanks DOC! 🤣
@@peteyn.y.7960 What this points to is either a structural problem, like with Oden. Or with Zion, a problem with conditioning. Something that not a one off, but is chronic.
You Never fails to be quick the the analysis
1-4 weeks for hamstring recovery
Very mysterious. Based on his reaction and the immediate move to the locker room, I am predicting an Achilles tendon tear. I don't see the mechanism of injury but if he heard the pop, he knew what it was. Wouldn't necessarily cause significant gait abnormalities. Curious to hear the dx
Agreed
He didn't limp off, he did his usual waddle. Either his pain threshold is stout, unlike most of those dudes in the NBA, or he knew what happened and that's why he went off without help.
That’s just how he walks but he was putting less weight on his left leg tho.
I think it happened when he landed, off camera
Jimmy butler just got injured at the end of the first half vs 76ers.
It just seems like it never ends with Zion. He was on track to winning that game for the Pelicans. But something like this had to happen
Why would a injury need to happen to someone smh
@@TB109. you can’t read my tone over the internet so I don’t blame you. It was a bitter, in disbelief, sarcastic “this had to happen”. I really mean “why did this have to happen”
What is the point of the play in game of all teams had 82 games to determine the seeding.
@@blocblackboyblack9226uh it made four extra teams play for something. Just the nba money machine causing more injuries. It happens in NFL too, 18 game season now instead of 16. But you can’t blame them, it has made for some very exciting end of season games. Barring injuries, nba made a great move to keep more teams and fans involved with the play in.
If there was no play in tournament pelicans don’t make playoffs in 2022 but they haven’t really gotten any better as a team since all that did was give them false confidence. If there was no Playin tournament the gets a week rest instead of going 100 percent in a semi pointless game

How about stage injury doc
He power walked away minutes after 😂
stage injury, fake emotions, and you wonder why they are paid millions of dollars, because they are actors. There is no way he could be injured as fast as he was walking. Neither was Anthony Davis injured game prior. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

@@diegochavez6203 Not power walk 🤦♂️😂😂
I think he may have been harboring an injury for a portion of the game and didnt tell anyone. He walked off completely fine and didnt seem to jar it towards the end. Which im assuming is because it was already hurt and he was trying to push through it.
Zion “Glass Joe” Williamson

The thing that concerned me the most was how Zion instantly knew he had to go to the locker-room.
I’m not quite sure but I think I saw i'm point to the groin area.
monster weight versus baby legs... .monster weight always wins.
about as far from "baby legs" as a human being can possibly have...
them legs could eat the average human being
Not baby legs just built like a meatball

According to MRI, Zion suffered a left hamstring strain and will be evaluated after two weeks.
He kinda naturally walks like both of his knees are bothering him lol
This will end in a mass sweepstake sweepening.
Doc you remain the fastest upload in the west. Zion can't catch a break man
With the latest updates on Zion. Hamstring injury and reevaluation in two weeks, do you believe he can actually come back in two weeks?
The only reason I see them not bringing him back out there if it wasn’t anything significant …… we don’t want to play Denver first round
reports are saying left leg hamstring, imaging done today
Lol Zion don’t wanna play Joker 😂😂😂😂😂
You also have to take into the consideration that the Pels medical staff have always been an overprotective parent to their star players
Next playoff game? He'll be out till December..
