Wow, I think she has 3 more books by now. I keep looking at the cover of The It Girl. There's also Zero Days and One Perfect Couple and a short story in Marple: Twelve New Mysteries. No Snowflakes (short stories)? It's funny I was watching the Backman one and you mentioned Ruth Ware there, and I searched for the same type of video of you ranking Ware's books and found it.
I haven’t read The Lying Game or In a Dark Dark Wood yet. For the others, Mrs Westaway is definitely on top. It’s the first one I read by Ruth Ware. I loved everything about it, characters, location, story. The Turn of the Key and One By One are basically even for me, but I’ll put The Turn of the Key as #2 because I didn’t love the yuppie app company beginning of One By One. The Woman in Cabin 10 is fourth, but I still really loved it. I just think Ruth Ware is a great and very dependable writer of thrillers and I can’t wait for the next one.
I'm exactly on the same page with u when it comes to A Dark Dark Woods. It's got all the elements which made me feel it could turn out to be a good psychological thriller alas, it was very very underwhelming.
One of the best modern thriller authors, her stories and plot are awesome and characters are very relatable, with imperfections sometimes but so real.
She's definitely great at what she does! And she's got the feel of some older thrillers as well 😊
