I'm so sorry to hear about your fall, honestly though when you said you fell down the stairs my first thought was "did she break her foot again" I was so worried about that! Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
I can literally relate to your pain. I fell off my bike the other day and now a have a big toe sprain. Limping around is tiring but there are worse things. So glad that nothing worse happend to you although you‘re all bruised. Sending you loads of healing vibes.🌻
5:33 I totally get what you mean. As soon as I become consciously aware that the author is trying to make me feel a certain way I become unable to feel those emotions and it annoys me. Especially if the author is doing a poor job of it
I’m sorry that you hurt yourself; it must suck being so sore. I tend to fall going up the stairs 😅I can be so clumsy but seriously though I hope you have a speedy and successful recovery. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your worst books you have read; they sound like books that I wouldn’t want to read.
Oof, I've fallen down the stairs a few weeks ago and it wasn't as bad as yours, but the first moment of being dazed and not sure if anything is broken is the worst. 🥲 I hope you'll get well soon 💜
American Queen was also among my worst of the year! (There was one book worse than it, though: Orson Scott Card's Wyrms, which might be a strong contender for Worst of All Time.) The main things that suck about it have already been covered, so let me contribute my minor gripes: 1. There is no way a man whose legal name is Maxen Ashley Colchester, who was in the army, would go by Ash. That man is a Mac, whether he likes it or not, sorry to Sierra. Also what Boomer would name their son Maxen Ashley; that's some Gen Z-ass shit and those kids are babies. 2. Why does everything that was clearly inspired by The West Wing have to have an older, wise character named Leo. It's like they're not even trying anymore. 3. Greer is supposed to have a PhD in Arthuriana and she never once comments on all the parallels to King Arthur? Any self-respecting medievalist would have been like, there is a Strong Resemblance to this other situation that would have been resolved if we were a triad. Let's not make the same mistake. 4. Greer never dated anyone for years and years? That's gross tbh. 5. Why does Ash have to be from this new special political party that's indistinguishable from the Democrats? Can't he just be a Democrat? 6. how does Greer have no friends except her evil cousin. 7. So you're telling me that the First Lady was kidnapped from the hotel where she spent her wedding night with the president and also the VP, and all their Secret Service details just let her get kidnapped out of the hallway when she went for ice? That would be the most-well-guarded hotel in the history of mankind. Also why was she getting her own ice; she's a) FLOTUS, and b) a new bride. Surely someone could have gotten it for her? 8. Why was Ash's first wife named Jenny. Gross.
I think I found Red Rising entertaining, but it was the worst of the first trilogy. It's been a while since I read that trilogy though. I didn't finish the second trilogy.
obsessed with the vibes of this video. it's giving sleepover when you're already deliriously tired but neither of you can stop talking. 10/10 ⭐

I'm really sorry to hear about your fall and I hope your recovery is going as well as can be! Also, those books must have been truly awful.

Ohmygoodness 😢 I hope your pain stops soon! Or at least gets better quickly😅
With Red Rising, I wasn't into it at first then it picked up and was okay. I tried reading the second book and absolutely am NOT liking it lmao
every time someone hates Red Rising I feel even more valid and happy about putting it on my anti-TBR years ago
also I hope you feel better soon!
I hope you feel better soon Riley ❤
I’m sorry to hear about your fall that sounds actually terrifying I hope you get better soon 😩

ironically I tumbled up the stairs a couple of days ago. I think I tried to stop the fall so I jumped, but I also don't know🤪lol. feel better Riley!
I also didn’t like Barbarian Alien even though I like other books in the series.

"now I've got no good feet left" :D and no f*s left to give either (I support it)
Oh wow Gone To See The River Man 🤮 thanks for the spoiler I will definitely not be reading that.
*claps for sara 👏🏻* (I do what queer women tell me to do)
I feel the same way about authors making them feel forced emotions! I don’t like that either!! I totally understand what you mean!
I dnf’ed Red Rising for some of the same reasons 😑
(🇺🇸) wishing you a speedy recovery 💗
🇺🇸 falling down the stairs sounds... horrible. Hope you get better soon
I loved Barbarian Alien 😂😂 he was an alien who just didn’t understand this lady or personal space 😂😂
I think I found Red Rising entertaining, but it was the worst of the first trilogy. It's been a while since I read that trilogy though. I didn't finish the second trilogy.
🇺🇸 they do sound awful
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 (but not weird)
