Fatshark dominator HDs. I been thinking about buying and building a DJI o3 unit. It would be a complete new setup than what I have. Have you flown with the dominators?

What a pleasant and honest review. Even with the Goggles 3 bug, I prefer flying with those in spots where I feel safe doing so. Battery lasts much longer and I also don't have the problem that with muscle motion around my eyes the goggles move to positions where the image gets blurry and I can only fix this if I let go of the controller with one hand...
Nicely done video. Thanks! I have Goggles 2 that I use with my Avata. The big jump for me was from my iPhone to the Goggles 2. I'll stick with my Goggles 2 until there is a bigger jump in technology.
I just got the goggles 2 with an avata and experienced the remote ID error issue. So need to have phone connected at all times to goggles to be able to fly. My question for you is if you possibly know if it’s the same with O3?

Goggles 3 has that random connection lost issue with O3, it happens to me multiple times, till DJI fix it, it is not safe flying goggles 3 with o3 unit
I saw that video from MadTech! Thankfully I don't have any issues with mine! I always update all my DJI stuff using DJI assistant software (03 air unit & goggles 3) with high speed USB C cable and master reset the goggles before flying!
@@xavier_arthur Because you are flying close enough by not to have a micro disconnect. Try fly behind something or a little further away, first time your bitrate starts dropping you will see it freeze.
Id prefer the goggles 3 but with the issues with random video loss flying the air unit with goggles 3 is very scary. Ive experienced it multiple times and stopped flying my nazgul because of it since i sold my goggles 2 awhile ago.. great comparison video though
Question, I want to use goggles, but, like you i wear glasses. You do not seem to wear your glasses with the. Is that because of how close the screen is to your eyes or are you doing somthing diffrent?
nice video...but am i alone here? the goggles integra..04 ocusync correct? so why dont they auto compatibilty with the neo? why dont the integra goggles pair with the rc2 controller..to use the mini 4pro and the neo??
@ Absolutely! Just changed the foam on the V2 and they feel like new. The quality hasn’t improved so much since then, they’re still perfectly fine goggles.
I am new to the hobby, so I ordered an O3 at $179, which is cheaper based on the general comment. I have not brought any Goggle yet. Based on new is better, new Goggle 3 is in my plan for now. Should I wait for the O4 and cancel the O3 on Amazon? Should I be in a simulator anyway? Right.
The O3 is not going to stop being a super legit system any time soon. Getting the G3's seems more an investment for wanting to consolidate multiple DJI drones to one goggles. I have the O4 and G3's just purely for testing and curiosity, but having used it a couple times I'm still liking the O3 and V2 goggles better.
what about obstacle penetration? like flying deep into a wooded area or your quad is at 7 concrete buildings away at ground level not up in the sky. Btw, good info!
I have 3 sets of DJI Goggles, Goggles V2, Goggles Integra, Goggles 3. I have 7 DJI Drones, I love flying my Avata 2, & DJI FPV Drone. I've taken my AIR 3 out over 5 miles, & still had 4 bars of signal strength. DJI rocks, I have the Neo pre ordered, & I'm going to order the AIR 3S as soon as it launches.

Is the goggles 3/o3 air unit connection issue really that bad or are people exaggerating? Building my first 5” and thinking about getting a cheap analog camera until the problem is fixed.
@jaysdub it really is a safety concern. Ive had it happen a few times since the latest update where you can use g3 with 03. Yes it doesn't happen all the time and who knows you might not experience it but when you do it's really not fun. Just the fact of you never know when it will do is the scary part. Sometimes you get black screen after take off and others a random loss of video while flying and video won't come back until you disarm.. I recently had a video loss right after I armed and my gps rescue kicked in right in front of me and shoot up in the air really quickly, I was using the fpv remote 3 and couldn't disarm and watched as my quad bounced around trying to land. I almost lost it and it almost went in the road. So yeah it's kind of a big deal
@jaysdub no problem man, yeah some people don't experience it and others will. It's just so random which sucks and if you use fpv 3 remote and get video loss you won't have any remote control because the remote signal goes thru the goggles then the drone.. I hope dji sends out a new firmware to fix but who knows at this point. I might sell my g3 and go back to g2 or Integra which is good
I'm afraid.. I have a pair of unopened g3s I just bought and now I heard about this problem. Should I return them or open them and just hope they patch it. This is my first set of digital goggles.
@@Fly_High_FPV Hey pal so I did do that actually! Thanks! Ive been having great performance with my goggles 3 and air unit, up until the point my camera cable has unplugged. I reconnected it and tightened screws but it must have come loose again. Not sure whats going on there but ill sort it out.
@danelasota9857 the mipi cables for 03 are very fragile, just order a new cable and reattach the camer and vtx (you'll need a small Phillips head, glasses tool)

Sir, you are mistaken. The need for an FC is determined by the Air Unit. The OG Air Unit and the Vista would go to full power without an FC. The 03 AU needs an FC or you can use Chadd Rains FPV 03 Armer
Goggles 2 are better than. Goggles 3 as the FoV is bigger. I watch TV on a 55” not a 32” because I want to enjoy the movie, not how because of how comfortable my sofa is.

V2 the best for 03, most penetration, lowest latency, most antenna options, most battery options, full 6S input. G3 the best with 04 👌

Just curious, if I fly an 03 unit with Goggles 2, I don't have to connect a cell phone for GPS/RID prior to takeoff like with the Avata 1?

I crashed my drone after I lost connection between goggles 3 and O3. I want DJI to buy me a new drone and pay punitive damages because it made me sad.

Yup, 4k/100 on the Goggles 3, 2, and Integra. V2 best on 4:3 2.7k/120 or 16:9 4k/120 👌 (always use these settings, anything else causes extra latency)

G2 and G3 are crap. You need to always use a FC..there is more than just Quads for FPV
