I flew the first time with KLM in 2019 from Amsterdam to Sao Paulo. My wife and I had a normal economy seat and when we sat down we realized a horrible smell, a combination of alcohol and several weeks of sweat. It turned out to be the person besides us. As it was an almost 12 hour flight, I stood up and went to the front to talk with one of the flight attendances. I explained to her the situation and asked if there is any possibility to change places a bit more far away from the passenger. She was really nice and told me she will do her best. They then started to relocate some other passengers first and at one point she also passed beside us, maybe also to check if we told the truth. I could see in her eyes when she passed that she could definitely also smell it 😂 at one point almost at the end of the boarding she then came to us with a big smile and said „You both must the honeymooners, follow me, we have some special seats for you“. This was quite clever so that they guy did not know that it was because of him we would be relocated. She brought us then some rows in the front and we received each a glass of champagne and some nuts, probably something one normally just gets in business class. We were so happy and thanked her million of times. Also the flight attendant who took care of us later during the flight seemed to really like his job, took time to talk with us and was excellent. Even though I was in economy class, I felt like I was flying business. I think this was the first time I gave a tip to the flight attendant and even filled out a review on the KLM website to give a positive feedback. Since then I always look for affordable KLM flights whenever I travel for more than 6 hours.

They is even a lot of decoration like that in Amsterdam Airport. And they have always friendly cabin crew. I never felt not welcome on bord of KLM.

Flew KLM from Split, Croatia to Amsterdam a few weeks ago, and then on the 787 10 to Houston. Lovely flight and really good crew, as usual. Also had the veal lasagna, which was excellent. The KLM staff at Schiphol handled all protocols efficiently. Have about 15 houses which we decorate with lights at Christmas. Always enjoy KLM.

Hi Noel, the Delft Blue KLM houses are indeed filled with gin from the brand Bols. Each year on KLM's birthday, a new house will appear. If you travel to certain Middle-East countries, you cannot bring alcohol, you will get an empty house instead which you can change at Schiphol Airport for a Bols filled one after your return flight. You only receive such a house from KLM when you fly Business Class. All houses are located in the Netherlands and are mostly famous for a reason. There are some websites where you can buy them, some are cheap, but some can cost 500 Euro, for that money you almost have a BC ticket (and get a house for free). ;-) Maybe if you go to Sweden with KLM, and when you do a toilet review, maybe can put the song WaterLoo from ABBA. Puts the song in a whole new perspective. Great video as always.
Wish to fly KLM just to grab one of those miniature soveiners to add to my collection. Awesome video. Thank you. Stay blessed and safe wherever you travel.

3:22 ............ What a cheeky devil, gets priority in the queue, then waves at the great unwashed .... Love it Noel! Flying KLM Business Class April 2022 Inverness to Seoul, to see family for the first time in 2 years due to covid. KLM offer much better crew and UK connections to Asia and the world than Britshit Airways for sure. Kwirty socks and Dutch Houses filled with Bols Gin make KLM funky, memorable and very bookable.
I used to work at a regional airport in south east England that only run klm flights. 4 a day 2 out and 2 in. It was the most wonderful experience working alongside klm and their staff. Everyone got business class treatment as the max passenger numbers were 52 per flight and the departure lounge was essential one big business class lounge. I miss that airport and the people. Sadly it shut in 2015 1 year after starting klm flights.
I noticed the Dutch houses on the wall in the loo....are the same Dutch houses on the wall in the airport when you were coming down the escalator. Very cool!
Now you'll have to write down the numbers of all the KLM houses you get so you can keep your collection going without duplicates. I've heard they empty the gin out on flights to countries that don't allow alcohol. Also, if you ask nicely they might give you more than one. I've found a few of them in my local thrift stores here in the USA, often for 99 cents! 😁
I've only flown KLM from Leeds Bradford to Amsterdam but even then was impressed with their service as they were more than happy to provide a couple of (free of charge) beers from the trolley despite a total flight time of only around 50 minutes!
Love KLM , a great airline they would always be up high on my choice of airlines for any destination but I do try to miss ending up on their partner airline Air France- not such a good airline I'm afraid , in my opinion
I love seeing this airport thank you Mr. Noel. WAy.back in the early 80s I went on a college trip and that’s where I landed initially . That’s actually one of my favorite airports because it’s the first European airport I’ve ever been to and that was my first impression of Europe. Seeing the lounge makes me makes me smile and say this is what’s to come one day. Not seeing a 747 makes me feel old thank you very much for all that you do
That's the coolest inflight thing I have ever seen! Spotting another ✈️ when you're above the clouds? Am jealous. That looks a bit too close though, always imagined they should be 1,000ft between planes mid-air.
I had the chance recently to fly KLM business on the 787-10 and I agree the crew and the whole experience was amazing. Also enjoyed the crown lounge in Schiphol!
My uncle who used to be a captain for more then 20 years of the KLM 747's has almost all of the Delft blue houses. Thanks to him I also have a really big collection from al the double ones he had.
I only flew on KLM once MANY years ago, but it was my first flight on a commercial 747-400, so just that alone was memorable. I'd have to say that I was treated well in economy. The stewardesses were friendly and they left out a bowl of chocolates in the galley for us to sample if we desired. The ONLY down side to the trip was entirely trivial. I had picked up a bit of German while in the Army and the Dutch language (my first exposure) was just different enough to scramble my brain. It sort of sounded like German but my brain couldn't translate. I didn't care much for Schiopol airport because I don't care for cigarette smoke, but I did discover a very nice cheese shop there and had my first sample of aged Reypanauer. I'm now addicted to the stuff! 😂
As a frequent KLM flyer I must say that they always have nice service, yes of course I experienced some delays but they always had a solution. Next week I will do my 30th flight with them in 2,5 years time... Great to see that you enjoy our national airline, hope to see you sometime somewhere!

Have flown countless long haul flights to/from Africa in Business Class. IMO they are second to none in terms of fantastic staff, efficiency and comfort. Mainly flown on their B777 ER/B747 and to/from locations not served by other airlines. Based in Leeds it is an easy hop to Amsterdam and then great connection times for flights to Nairobi, Joburg, Dar-Es-Salaam and Kilimanjaro. Also flew once to Lusaka which sadly was a scheduled flight that was cut less than 12 months after starting. So far have 42 houses in my collection!
Hi Noel, i work at AMS and the issue with the automatic announcments are the result of the gate agents. When the automatic announcments start you will hear the bell. But when gate agents are on the phone or talking, they will push a button to stop the announcment. That is why you only will hear the bell.
I flew KLM for years and managed to rack up quite a selection of the KLM Delft Houses. To fill the houses with Bols Jenever is a long standing tradition The funniest was on a flight to Doha, when they gave as an empty house, without the usual Bols Jenever (dutch for Gin!), but an additional certificate, that you could swap the empty house for a full one on your flight back to AMS.
Hahaha, that's amazing!!! My dad used to fly every few months to the US on KLM...usually on business class. I remember we had an entire shelf full of them! So unfortunate that we got rid of them, I would've loved to have them.
You could make a simple points system for the loo review. Points for dry floor, overall cleanliness, size/space, light, door locks! Etc Also grade for the amenity kit, like an A or B+ etc
LOL about passing back over the UK. However, when I lived in Wales, flying to Schipol was faster than an overland journey to somewhere like LHR, LGW or MAN. KLM is practically what makes CWL an international airport if you put the summer charters aside.
I have flown KLM to/from LAX to Schipol in economy, Worked for me. 3 weeks ago I flew into Zurich (direct Swiss flight from LAX) and 2 weeks ago in reverse. The Swiss web site had plenty of info so going and coming I knew what I needed, had it, and breezed through check in and everything.
I love Canada - jealous much! I flew KLM Business many times and your video left me wondering where all my little houses went. I think my mother had them. Back then though, they didn't contain gin, if they did, I would have consumed them before passing them along. Thanks for sharing, Noel.
A few years back I shifted to KLM after years of flying long haul bus with BA, IB and LH plus QR and EK and I now find KLM the nicest with the friendliest and genuine crews. But yeah they have to get rid of that plant burger option on the second meal. I also feel the same flying back over Yorkshire after setting off from there on travels too and the flight path over Leeds etc is a typical busy route. Makes you realise how small an island it is
Don't forget these airlines fly over the north Norfolk coast too ,I lived in Mundesley for several years and the flights would come over my house out to the North sea or visa versa. Amazing views in the skies on a clear day
An empanada is a Cornish pastie. Empanadas evolved from meat pies brought to South America by immigrants from - CORNWALL - brought in to work the mines in the 1800s.
KLM was the very first airline I flew Business Class on from Panama City to Amsterdam on my back to England after my travels all across South America many years ago and since then I flew mostly business class. Way then their meals are quite good and their FA's were excellent and friendly. I also flew with them to Montreal on the 10th of September in 2001 the day before 911 and that was quite memorable. There were delays due to bad weather from Amsterdam to Montreal that day and had we we been delayed further, we never would have made to Montreal if we've flown on the very day.

The high prices reflect that
Love KLM , a great airline they would always be up high on my choice of airlines for any destination but I do try to miss ending up on their partner airline Air France- not such a good airline I'm afraid , in my opinion
It's not even AF, but CDG which is their home base that needs to be avoided at all costs. Schiphol is awesome.
Not seeing a 747 makes me feel old thank you very much for all that you do
Used KLM for my August America trip. They were fantastic!
They are very good. Not sure why I've not flown them long haul before, but I certainly will be again!
I love KLM! I’ve never had a bad experience with them. Always friendly and very personable.
Just love your loo reviews they are quite amusing and very informative to find out what the bathrooms are like on different airlines etc
That's the coolest inflight thing I have ever seen! Spotting another ✈️ when you're above the clouds? Am jealous. That looks a bit too close though, always imagined they should be 1,000ft between planes mid-air.
I just can't stop watching Noel's videos. And boy, am I jealous or what? Again, an incredible adventure online.
Are you sure because I hear about rude and unfriendly crew overthere many times
@@willemlenteren1485 Yes I'm sure. I personaly have no bad experiences with KLM crew. But that personal, other people can have other experiences.
So pleased that I’ve just found your channel and subscribed. We’re looking at a round the world business class trip next year and great to find such a comprehensive review to help us choose which airline to book with.
Noel,
Been a fan since the start and your quality of videos have been progressively increasing. I love these longer style vlogs. Thanks so much.
Cheers mate
That is quite an efficient set up setting aside a dedicated gate just to sort out paperwork. Makes a lot of sense.
Loo review. Best on YT. Great video Noel, like the fact that over cover travel aspects and not just the flight, plane, food, drink. Take care.
Oh Canada!
I'm happy to see my fellow Dutchmen treating you nicely. And yes, Schiphol is indeed a pretty impressive airport :)
I haven't flown KLM since the 1990s, but their uniform doesn't seem to have changed much. Great airline though.
I never mind a delayed flight when in business class :)
I have used KLM longhaul a few times before, both down the back and in business, they are a great carrier. :o)
Etc
Also grade for the amenity kit, like an A or B+ etc
LOL about passing back over the UK. However, when I lived in Wales, flying to Schipol was faster than an overland journey to somewhere like LHR, LGW or MAN. KLM is practically what makes CWL an international airport if you put the summer charters aside.
The kid at 7:57 terrified me 😂😂 great video!!
😂😂I can't unsee it now!
KLM best business class in Europe! The 787 Dreamliner is the most quiet plane to fly
Welcome to Canada Hope the weather is good for your stay here looking forward to ya next vid.
I love Canada - jealous much! I flew KLM Business many times and your video left me wondering where all my little houses went. I think my mother had them. Back then though, they didn't contain gin, if they did, I would have consumed them before passing them along. Thanks for sharing, Noel.
Thanks for the nice Report. A nice stay in Canada
Thank you for your support.
Great video, I myself have a little collection of the KLM Delft houses! Also count me in for supporting the loo reviews!
Amazing views in the skies on a clear day
I also like the -10. There's something really nice about its proportions. It really does have the 'seriously big jet' feeling.
An empanada is a Cornish pastie. Empanadas evolved from meat pies brought to South America by immigrants from - CORNWALL - brought in to work the mines in the 1800s.
My older brothers just retired as a humber river pilot, great to get an Ariel view of his former work place👍👍🤣🤣😂😂
Love how the music throughout is WestJet's boarding music hahaha
Love the little Delft canal houses they give. My friend has a shelf of them. Looking forward to the Canada series.
I have a couple of those. Never knew where they came from (other then Netherlands obviously). Now I know.
Used to fly klm from Amsterdam to manila years ago, but haven't since ~2010, so it's nice to see schiphol and klm again, great review 👍🏼
Non stop? My last flight was a direct via TPE tho.
LHR to AMS to MNL (Via TPE)all flights on KLM
@@neljonhporia yeah, I'm pretty sure it was non-stop, it was an ~12 hour flight
KLM was the very first airline I flew Business Class on from Panama City to Amsterdam on my back to England after my travels all across South America many years ago and since then I flew mostly business class. Way then their meals are quite good and their FA's were excellent and friendly. I also flew with them to Montreal on the 10th of September in 2001 the day before 911 and that was quite memorable. There were delays due to bad weather from Amsterdam to Montreal that day and had we we been delayed further, we never would have made to Montreal if we've flown on the very day.
I know it's sooo weird but I love the look reviews and actually look forward to them lol
Just a bit further south of the airport og Narsarsuaq (BGBW) a tower I used to work at. BGBW is a formal, and yet NOT FORMWAL ETOPS airport for many airliners, crossing the pond. But im still exited that you was so close to "MY" airspace... great vid mate
The Loo Review is one of my favourite parts of the videos!!
Great flight on KLM to YYZ👍
Nice to see my hometown of Leeds from above! 😊
Flew KLM long haul many years ago, from Schipol to Bonaire on an MD-11. Flew economy class, plane was half empty and was very impressed with KLM's service, food and seat. Would love to fly them again.
klm md-11's are all out of service. They were kind of tricky with the fasted landing speeds of all airliners.
Love the videos , amazing content and travel info please keep up the great work much appreciated
Is it possible Noel is the politest man on earth??
Welcome Back to Canada!! I loved the aerial of Leeds; my old home for 6 months back to 2018 when I was studying abroad. Enjoy your stay in Toronto
