I miss the days when this was WWE 2k's worst game. Good times.
My primary problem with it was the laughably small creative suite. Only 20 slots for CAWs, including alternate attires? Not fun.

I loved this game, I have it as my third favorite. You should play the 360 version. It's AMAZING
It still is, 2K20 is at the very least fleshed out despite its numerous problems.

I will never forget Triple H flying around the arena at 16x the speed of light.

2K20 was bad because the visual concepts probably didn’t know what else to book in the game and didn’t play test it that much compared to the rest
The problem with showcase mode is they always end up turning into "get opponent to yellow health" *cut scene* "hit your finisher and win by pinfall" towards the end.

This game on my career mode just like 2k20 shows how much bad wwe itself is with their newer stars ⭐️ messing up the roster post nxt mostly unless they find a good character on their own with only the showcase saving their credibility

Yea my family wasn’t able to afford the Xbox one so I had to stay on the Xbox 360 the 2k15 on the 360 will go down as one of my favorite games ever

What really tanked WWE2K15 for me was the fact that the Career mode does a huge jump. It boasts a 15 year career for your wrestler, but as soon as you win the WWE Heavyweight Championship it skips forward to the end of your career with WWE officials saying what a great and dominant champion you were.
They should have let us play all the way through that timespan. That was the only time in all the years I've played WWE games where I would deliberately lose title matches so the game wouldn't end so quickly. There's no fun in that.
When they took out Showcase mode I was so pissed off man.
wwe 2k14 is the accumulation of every thing good about 12 and 13, with some upgrades. I'm not gonna deny that the game has flaws, it has many.
2k15 came in, took every good thing about 2k14 and threw it in the trash and was left with the shit parts.
2K15 isn’t that bad for what it is, especially compared to 2K20.

CONSIDERING WWE 2K15 was the first game on the next generation console, I thought it was pretty good for a starting point for the future on XBOX ONE and PS4.
Tbf comparing it to 2K20 is a very low bar to surpass
Apparently, THQ was still using PS2 assets until the very end of their company's lifespan, so 2K had to make the game from scratch with Yukes because the PS4 wouldn't support the assets anymore.

I loved this game. This was the game I always envisioned gameplay wise a few year prior. Nothing was more satisfying then hitting a finisher, then having to crawl over to get the pinfall.
I think we all think 2k15 sucked because it had to high a bar to surpass 2k14 was such a great game with a big roster and we had our hopes to high that when 2k15 didnt have a bigger roster and even more stuff we all instantly turned sour

One thing that kinda pushed me away from 2k15 was the exclusion of Create-A-Finisher and as of recently the 2k Showcase for unlocking unlockable content in the game. Funny thing is that I wanted to get 2k20 when my friend was playing 2k19 and I heard so much bad stuff about it that it made me not want to get it lol.
I'm not gonna lie, you did make some good points. But something you can not deny is that this game had an absolute banger of a soundtrack!

The difference between a no holds barred match and an extreme rules match is that illegal holds E.G choking someone with a rope is aloud in an no holds barred match where it isn't for an extreme rules match

2K15 was such a letdown. I remember them hyping MyCareer mode to be this amazing thing and it was horrible, and it was boring and a slog to get through. MyCareer was the main reason I bought 2K15 (and Sting being on it.)
I sold the game like 3 days after I bought it.
When consoles removed the ability to rip soundtracks from your CD collection leaving you with no alternative, I knew this series was gonna go downhill.

The difference between a “no holds bar” & “extreme rules” used to be you could only get a kendo stick in a extreme rules match, & also set the table on fire

The ring was shorter then 2k14, this ring is a 20x20 when the past games have used the 22x22 size🤷♂️

2015 was my favorite year in general without WWE. That’s my only excuse for loving 2K15 as a kid. My nostalgia was murdered when I saw exhibition mode 💀

Well 2K decided to get rid of everything that made the previous games good. Create a Story mode, Mixed Tag Team matches, I Quit matches, Special Referee matches, proper grammar, proper career mode, a functional and fun Universe mode... and locked everything else behind pay walls... 2K was the wrong company to handle this franchise.

@@MCPunk55 They do, i had the Xbox 360 version of 2k15 and 2k17 (which is the last 2k game to ever be released for PS3 and Xbox 360), and it had the removed modes and shit (with exception for Create a Finisher and Create a Story modes, MyCareer, cuz is exclusive to Next Gen).

Seeing your views from back then really puts into perspective how much you've grown since.
The thing I find funny about the modern wwe games is once their servers are down there's no way to make custom logos like previous gen. Sure there the in game logo designer but it's not like create a logo on last gen. So you're either just stuck with whatever logos you got from caws you downloaded then or just use all the in game logos
I remember the review I read when this came out was it was a poor port of a previous gen game. The PS3/Xbox360 version supposedly had more showcase modes and didn't have the MyCareer mode (which sounds useless)
It really says something about the production and flaming garbage juice that was 2K20 because it's like they took a step back. Like how is a game that came years after the previous release even worse than an already mediocre/bad game? 🤦🏿♂️
bro showcase was something that has no replayability but it was what i played the most, i absolutely loved every story they did. Triple H and Shawn was so fun to watch, same with punk and cena oh and christian and orton but my favorite was The Hall Of Pain
That’s the most played mode when I had 13-16 played 19-22 I only played once on ps4 and ps5 for showcase

In WWE 2K24, No Holds Barred and Extreme Rules are still two separate matches, and I still don't know what the difference is.

No holds barred is like u can pin the opponent anyway unlike extreme rules where u can only pin em in the ring I still remember the rules of wrestling even tho I haven’t watched it in 3 years😭
2K15 also had some awesome DLC showcases with Mark Henry, Christian, Warrior and Ric Flairs mini story modes
I think alot of the issue with WWE 2K15 was that Yuke's purposely cut down on stuff since they had to make a XBox 360 and XBOX ONE version. WWE 2K16 fixed alot.
S vs. R 2011 will always be my favorite. I want my analog grappling back!
As much as it lacked, I had some great one on one matches for the title. The models of each wrestler were better than most of the games that came after especially its follow up 2k16. Jericho and Wyatt had some of the best entrances alongside Cena.
Hopefully Yukes and aew bring back the fun in wrestling games.

Playing as Sting for the 1st time in a wwe game was the only reason to get this game I remember they advertised that heavily for this game

All I want out of a wwe game is a season mode like Here Comes the Pain,a gm mode return like in the Smackdown vs Raw games and a CaW that doesn't make you work for hours on just a moveset alone. I used to make so many wrestlers but now I only do like one a game because it's so tome consuming. It got boring

The difference with extreme rules match and no holds barred match is one is 'extreme rules' and another is 'no holds barred'.
The cut scenes and promos were cool in showcase mode - 2k23 “ yeah I hoped we did that”

Kayfabe difference between No Holds Bared & Extreme Rules matches: No Holds Bared is typically just a slugfest with weapons involved but not necessary. Extreme rules you're encouraged to inflict great harm on your opponent and put them through hell like in the ECW days.
Legit difference: None, it just sounds cool.

I know this is two years old but no holds barred means you can pin/sub inside or outside the ring while extreme rules has no out of ring countdown all pins/sub has to be in the ring

Extreme Rules: Weapons strewn about all over the ringside area for instant mayhem.
No Holds Barred: No rules, but a normal start/environment.
Street Fight: Wear street clothes.
I think that this game have visual bugs on PC or PlayStation because I have bought this game for the Xbox One S and the game play is working smoothly. And the only problem is the lack of game mode like the my career even though it simulates a weekly WWE career but it's really repetitive, the little to nothing match type,the 2K Showcase is ok but after finishing it for the first time the only thing that is interesting are the cutscenes or the images , the submission mini game sucks a lot and the creation mode, the good parts are the many arenas, the roster, playing for the first time the 2K Showcase mode and the matchups for me its cool to play. For me Its a game that if you find at a very low price (like me) it's cool to buy it.
