HOW TO Carry a 37 Inch Spare Tire on a Jeep Gladiator in the Factory Location

  • A 37 inch tire is about the largest size spare that you can carry on a Jeep Gladiator or at least, in the factory location up between the frame rails. However, if you have a factory hitch receiver installed, the amount of space between it and the rear track bar will be just shy of what you need to make it work. In this video, you'll see how installing an aftermarket rear track bar with bends in it, like the kind that Clayton Off Road makes, will give you the clearance that you need.

Still a tight fit but it looks much better than being mounted on a rack. Great to see another Made in America product.

Good to know a 37 will just fit. I’m on 37 inch Ridge Grapplers on my Gladiator. I have a 35 inch Ridge Grappler under the jeep as a spare. I will simply use the spare on my right front axle in 2WD to get off a trail and easily still be able to drive down the highway at 65 mph until I get a new 37 inch tire. The FAD system on the front axle will also allow the slightly smaller wheel to spin freely with no differential issues. This video is the best demonstration that a 37 will fit under a gladiator. Keep up the excellent content.
