They brought this back for one day on their 25th anniversary and I almost cried. There was definitely a tear. She said “here’s one of your favorites from 2000 something”. It literally made my life.
I remember hearing track 10 and 11 at my mom's apartment before I lived in the same city and just zoning out at the TV for a half hour or more listening to these. Hard times, no cable, few free channels. Great to think of how far we've came since then, and it's humbling to look back and know how simple it is to find enjoyment even if you don't have much. Thank you for posting these, & Cheers from Fredericton New Brunswick !
My favourite song, around the 14 minute mark… Never thought I would hear this music again. Always wondered when the song would change and thought I would lose it forever. Thanks so much!
You wake up in the early in the morning cause you're still young and don't fully value sleep. You go downstairs and pour yourself a bowl of cereal. You go into the livingroom and turn on the TV which is still some sort of stone box. You flip to the weather network out of habit These songs play. You enjoy your cereal. Life is good.
Only time I watched the weather network was with my parents when we were in the same room like a hotel or on vacation checking what the weather will be for the next few days, it was always really nice outside when this was on.
I can't believe your comment is only two days old. This is such an obscure thing to seem familiar. The song is so pretty. 19:42 played every morning before school. I even remember what cereal I ate at the time.
Ahh, many good memories. I never heard of many of these themes before, but the Christmas one from 2011?? Brings back good Christmas memories. Cheers to the Mari times!
I recognize the pieces that aired up until ~ 2002. During elementary and high school, checking the local forecast on the Weather Network was part of my morning ritual before heading out the door (channel 19 in Cornwall!). Then, after graduating high school, I never bothered to get a TV and so the Weather Network fell off my radar. I still check it online religiously, though.
I remember track 10 so much. It was the first track I ever heard from the weather network ever since I moved to canada from korea when I was 6 years old, Now im 19 and hearing this again feels great
So glad I found this video. I vividly remember hearing the "Windstar" song and the 06-10 theme almost every day before going to school. Never thought I would ever hear that again.
Ali Niaz I know I’m super late on this, but unfortunately you can’t get it anywhere :( but what I find helps if you really want to download the music (I’m doing this currently) is download a screen recorder, and then VideotoMP3, that way you can transfer the videos of said songs you like, to music. And it works without wifi and you can turn the screen off as well!
Always thought track 9 was so intense lol i would watch the weather channel all the time just hoping for a thunderstorm even if it wasnt in the forecast. So glad i could relive these tunes
Anyone else play your favorite track while watching the weather network local forecast on the television with the mute option enabled 👌😁.. just like old times
I remember a song from the weather network in 1996 that was really intense and epic. Best weather network song ever. I remember it well cuz i watched all night during Hurricane Hortense
I know I've commented here before but the music they have on TWN here in 2019 doesn't even come close to any of these tracks, and anything before even 2003 I've never heard before. especially their HD channel, that one is fairly lackluster music wise, the SD channel still has a somewhat decent track. I actually used to (and still do) go to sleep with my TV set to the Weather Network. I'm actually gonna stick to the SD TWN channel (505 for us Bell Fibe users). I say this but in a few years I'm sure I'll look back at what they have for the current Local Forecast music and feel the nostalgia like I do with Track 10
I am so glad I decided to search weather channel playlists tonight. 17.17 has been a favourite forever. The melody around 18.44 is magic. Does anyone know who/what .. ? Thank you for putting these tunes out there.
Can ANYONE find me the song name for the '2004-2005 Primary Theme', or the catalog to find it in? ... So many memories and I really would like the song name.

Every 10 minutes on the weather network. I remember tuning in each time to see if the music was different and what track it was.

I've been trying to find Track 8 for the longest time. :D
They really need the narration over it just to drive that nostalgia home.
17:20 I'll never forget waking up super early at 5:30 AM with my grandma and hearing this come on
Have the same exact memories with my grandpa
Every morning before school this would be playing in the background.

When I was in elementary school I would flip between YTV and The Weather Network. Track 10 and 11.

We were so obsessed with the weather network because we actually went outside then
Mans used to be scared when they see a thunderstorm coming up next 💀💀
