@MysteriousOklahoma yes but it evens out because it can use regular fuel and is recommended to use regular fuel so if the math is done, it doesn't cost much more then a normal car with higher compression v6
@MysteriousOklahoma not sure. I'd do research of land cruisers in your area. With 100k miles, it should run like it's BRAND NEW and last more than 15 years in the future
MysteriousOklahoma 116 is nothing. If it's not too rusty, go for it. Have 3-4 grand aside for complete breaks, oil, batteries, tires. And you will be sorted for many years.
I have heard there is a saying in Australia and it goes like this, "if you want to go into the outback, you take a Land Rover but if you want to make it back you take a Land Cruiser". :-)
I use to own a 1999 land cruiser for 11 years. Purchase it use in the year 2000. With 25,000. After years of ownership. I had 375,000 on it. Best suv ever. !!!
My family’s daily drivers...2000 Land Cruiser 316000 miles, 2004 4runner w/312000 miles and the baby...2007 FJ Cruiser w/217000 miles....it’s a beautiful thing
Got my cruiser back in 2002, same time bought a few Tacoma's as fleet trucks for my business. My cruiser is 27k from 1m 😆, all the tacomas have already gone over 😁. Actually looking at a new 2020 tundra to replace my cruiser as a daily driver 🤔
I had a 94 with 315K on it, loved that car! I now have a 2010 LX 570 and that has 110k runs like new. Once you have owned a LC (or the Lexus equivalent) you get spoiled and can't go back!
350,000 miles on my 2000 LC and I’m amazed every day how quiet, smooth and tight this machine still is after 20 years. This daily driver is bulletproof!
The 2UZ is so smooth to an annoying degree. I have a 99 LX470 and I love it way more than any 21 year old/200k mile truck should be loved. The 100 series is so good. I’m going to eventually get my wife a 200 series to haul the kids in. It’s perfection.
99 Land Cruiser has 280k runs great ....recent fuel pump and radiator replacement .... I drive it as much as my 2013 Land Cruiser.... these vehicles are keepers!!!!
Good video. Pretty typical for LCs to get such high mileage. I have owned 10 LCs since 1996 and my family still drives five of them today. My '99 LC just rolled over 400k miles this week. Another has 475k miles. The least of the five is the '06 with 268k miles. All are bombproof and keep on a rollin. Regarding the maintenance of these beasts, you mention timing belt and bearings. The TB work is recommended for like 90k miles but can certainly go much farther. I suggest paying more attention to that with the 2005 and newer models since they are interference engines but I don't worry about it with the 1998 to 2004 near as much. I have over 200k on two of my hundys TB and will do the work when I need to. The timing belt never just breaks. The water pump might go out eventually but I have replacee only one water pump in 24 years that actually went out. Regarding the bearings, there is no need at all to change or do anything to them until they go out, if ever. I have replaced or serviced one side on my daughters 2000 LC with 345k miles. Runs great and doesn't need new bearings. Maintenance is a good thing for parts of these vehicles but unless you are OCD, you can save a lot of money not wasting it on unnecessary maintenance. Believe me, I know. These vehicles are definetly built on a separate assembly line for a reason...to traverse the world and back on in sand and on third world trashy fuel.
I gave in and replaced the TB on my Tundra at 120,000 because I often do long trips and didn't want a breakdown. My mechanic had the same truck with 185,000 and hasn't replaced his.
Ive been looking to buy another 4th gen 4runner or Sequoia next but after doing a little research on the LC im quite certain my money will be best spent on an LC. Thanks for your comment. It definitely sold me.
Just sold a 1995 Land cruiser that we bought new and drove it for 275,000 miles. What a great car. So we upgraded to a 2000 LC that has only 93,000 miles on it (what a lucky find). Drives like a new car. No doubt, Land cruisers are the best cars ever made.
That mileage is easy for LC. Every single Land Rover, Range Rover, Merc or X5 dont last half what LC does. If you are wealthy and money is no issue, go ahead, buy those. If you value your money, there is no substitute for LC in terms of durability and retail value. RR and X5 are probably the worst money pits on the market.
I love my 2000 LX470. Steering rack is leaking but topping of every few months is cheaper than fixing it. Mine is 3x locked and lifted. Great offroad and in the snow.
I've had my '02 Sequoia for two years. It's at 310,000 miles and it's condition mirrors your experience. A little reconditioning, maintenance reset, and it's good to go!
I'm at 257,982 and she runs like a champ, it's my daily driver (190 miles a day 6 days a week) the pinion leaks from a accident but besides that no leaks
Had a 1991 Land Cruiser, sold it at 294,000 miles, it was in great condition and everything worked. I now own a 2006 LX 470 (Land Cruiser) with 165,000 and it runs and drives like new.
Beautiful car. I remember my uncle having one of these rebadged as a Lexus. When I got my learners permit I would take it up steep snowy slippery hills with ease not realizing it was a very capable off-roader. Keep the updates coming.
Thanks for the review. I've owned my 1999 LC for 21 years and have put 335,000 miles on her. Up until last year I had zero issues other than routine maint. Recently I have had to have the front differential rebuilt, replaced the transfer case with a used 2001 Lexus, and replaced both CVC axles. Also had to rebuild the Rack and Pinion. Not certain all that was required but there was some clunking occurring when slowing down to about 15 mph and when shifting from park to drive/reverse. The problem seems to have been resolved and she is once again running very nicely. I have done a lot of off-roading through the San Juan Mountains, Death Valley and Sonoran Desert . Very pleased with performance with just a stock vehicle. Also have traveled throughout the U.S. which accounts for most of the miles. The most comfortable and pleasant riding vehicle I've ever owned.
Dude, we have really similar taste in car it boggles my mind. Keep up the great work love your videos. BTW, thanks to your video on greasing drive shaft I have fixed that issue on my grandfather’s 100 series therefore I sincerely appreciate your content.
Maybe paradoxical is a better word than ironic? This is such a great video and I love these cars. I’m also not afraid of high mileage vehicles under the right circumstances.
Same here Steve, 03 100 I have owned since 2004. It's interesting we are seeing the same wear seat spots, driver inside door mark, etc. I just finished the second front end 100K maintenance; rad, pump, belt, etc. I did have a failure not see by others; master cylinder failure and ABS sensors. I was traveling, so that cost me plenty but I was not upset. The truck does have new BT, great streaming sound. One of my children has been driving the LC until I can put them into a lease, but then I will take the LC back. My plans to fall in love again: full underside surface rust removal and undercoat, install Asfir aluminum front skid plate, 2" lift, BFG KM3 MTs, larger steel wheels, etc. My brother in France has an 02 TD. These vehicles are amazing. Feel lucky to own one.
love the ride, got the Sequoia moved on and now pushing 09 GX470...all similar vehicles and I think are wonderful vehicles...Land Cruiser Prado 120 to the rest of the world..great videos and enjoy watching..keep it up sir...Ohio driving here too...
Happy 23rd birthday to my 2000 1HD fte beast master . Original Black paint polishes up real sweet. 430,000 km and still looking good and going strong, East coast Australia
You are more than welcome to come to Gainesville, Fl to check out my 2008 Land Cruiser that has 250,000 + miles and I take it off road at this 50 acre off road track in Ocala, FL. The Land Cruiser is a beast and it never goes wrong. I can safely say that I have never in my life stopped on the road even for a flat tire. That is how much faith I have in this vehicle. It's built to last 25 years. I still use mine all the time and have many other cars too.
Great review. The 2uz-fe motor is a proven million miler. I don’t have an LC but I’ve got an 07 gx470 that is at 145k and still going strong with the same motor.
Have an 01 v8 sequoia with 297k miles on her. Wouldn’t even know it by driving it. Just recently retired it, as my commute increased by 100 miles a day. She’s just a weekend warrior now. The tires will rot before the engine goes haha.
I own a 1986 FJ62 auto, highroof at 708.000 km still going like when i bought it, everything still works including rear Aircon. The best most reliable vehicle ive owned, im 63! And 1998 LX470 at over 500.000km, beautiful vehicle everything works no trouble. No not selling.
That model Land Cruiser is basically my V8 '03 4Runner with a different body. My 4Runner is going on 209K miles and going strong. These V8's are indestructible.
I purchased a Toyota Avalon in 2002, it had 94.000 miles on it, and yes we could tell it was well cared for by its previous owner. We kept that car 15 years. That was the best car I ever owned, ever, I would even call it a super car. The only problem I ever had with that car was a check engine light. That was probably caused by computer misreading codes. We traded it in in June of 2017 for a new Toyota 4 Runner. My point is Toyota is the absolute best .
You and I have very similar taste in cars. I’ve owned many different high powered Euro & Japanese cars and by far, my favorite is the 100 series LC. I purchased a 02’ with 232k and gave it to my father. I then purchased a 120 series (gx470) prado LC (4Runner). I’m currently in between buying a defender 90 or 110 (non NAS) or a fast toy (2019 m5, gtr or 997.2 911) Don’t skip on tbelt and heater T’s LONG LIVE THE LANDCRUISER!!
My 2000 LX 470 has 260k. The driver's seat started ripping but I just put a cover on it. The engine is fine. Transmission is fine. I had to convert the hydraulic suspension to regular shocks and struts.. Needed to replace the EFI relay (easy $90 fix anyone can do. Right inside fuse box) Other than that it's just normal maintenance any car would go through. Best car ever.
hey-does anyone know what kind of tires and running board and rubber floor mats he has on that Cruiser? i just purchased an ‘01 and would love to lose the carpet and change tires-thx:)
I have just acquired a 03 with 200,000 miles. its so good that i feel this is the best thing to happen to me in 2021. Buying a land cruiser is also the best decision I have made in 4 years!
I've got a '99 LC. 2nd one I've owned. Present one has 170K miles and runs like new. Looking forward to 500k miles! I love these 100 series LC's. Great styling and ride. Just rode 500 miles to a wedding in Va.. Got out feeling like I'd driven to the grocery store! A lot of my friends could afford to really drive anything on the planet and a good many of them drive 100 series LC's. All they need is a newer stereo w a back up camera and you're golden!
I’ve purchased 2 Landcruisers new.A 95’ and what I still own today, my 1998 Landcruiser.Just hit 97,000 miles, which is pretty low for 23 years.I’ve replaced parts due to wear. And the only thing that has actually broken and doesn’t work is the little lightbulb behind the D next to the transmission lever. No longer lights up.These trucks are absolutely bulletproof.
Had my 01 from 165k to 240k guy after me took her over 350K. I only did preventative timing belt job. Only issue I had was wheel bearings. Really loved and miss that vehicle. Wish there were more out there available.
I have the poor man's version, a 2006 4Runner Limited with the 2UZFE. Bought it in November 2019 with 147,000km. (91,000Miles). That's barely broken in! I had the timing belt replaced and it did need one exhaust manifold to pass safety. I wish the used car dealership would have contacted me before replacing just one side with an OEM part. For the same money, I could have gotten a pair of Stainless Thorsley headers and have done with it. As it stands now, the other side (original) has started leaking just a touch. I also replaced the shocks all around because of the XREAS system that was leaking. But all this is very good for a 15 year old vehicle. Runs like a champ. Pulls like a beast. Air still blows ice cold and everything works, even the heated seats. I'm hoping to put at least a half million kilometers on this one.
I have a 1999 Lexus RX 300....I have 252000 and it runs fantastic....it’s a little rusty, but trusty!! It needs to get driver seat upholstered...I’ve had a little clanking sounds still...air is cold...heat is hot!! Rear defroster and defroster system works fine!! I had the timing and water pump replaced last year...expensive, but I like it
246k on my 2000 LX470 and everything works. Seats have been redone and looks new inside. Hydraulic suspension is bad now and I have an Old Man Emu 2.5 inch lift conevrsion and new tires going on this week. Other than basic stuff it is mint. Love it.
Also a coloradan here! Let's hit the trails sometime 🤙 I've got a 2003 seqouia with 230k that I've built up and it has the same antenna issue, replace it with a stubby kit from amazon! Nice rig man
Snap!I’ve had my 22 year old Land Cruiser Amazon for 10 years now and like you, it’s the best car I’ve ever owned or driven, hands down. Thanks you for giving me a heads up on some of the maintenance tips, especially those concerning the drivetrain. It’s amazing what a little bit of TLC will do for this vehicle. I had my car converted to run on LPG Autogas soon after I brought the car and this has further enhanced the longevity of my car. This way I can have my V8 4.7ltr petrolhead cake and eat it without having to empty my wallet every time I go to the pumps. My only wish is that I had the five speed gearbox instead of the four speed. Update: Last Saturday, the alternator finally gave up the ghost after 22 years of sterling service. I’m gonna have it reconditioned and service.and put straight back onto the car, where it belongs and forget about it for the next 22 years.
They are great cars. I bought mine, used, in 2006 with 30k miles on the clock. I sold it in December 2019 with 135,000 miles on the clock. Certainly not excessive mileage for a Landcruiser! I had a young family and wanted a bulletproof car. I got that, this car never left me on the roadside with the kids. Nothing failed, but things wore out, as you'd expect. I bought another Toyota, the RAV4 Hybrid AWD. But...it was quite a wrench when we said goodbye to " Lenny - The Landcruiser"! I actually gave him a pat on the bonnet (hood) as I left the dealership.
I've traded vehicles every 6-12 mos ever since I've been driving and had everything from trucks to cars and jeeps... Bought my first LC 2 years ago and have zero plans of getting rid of it. Badass rigs
Well stated I'm a Land Cruiser owner for life I've owned 6, all went over 100K, several went past 200K and my current 08 model has 155K and they all live an adventurous life I use them for offroad trips every year. #Best4WDEver
My 99 LX470 has 286K and is on its 3rd timing belt lol- I’ve done a lot of preventative maintenance- i have every record and even the original window sticker!! Over $59,000 new in 1999. I changed to Mobil 1 synthetic. I’m about to do an Ironman Foam cell pro suspension lift and I just got the Emu Wing kit in from Australia!
I’ve studied transmissions as the lowest common denominator to measure reliability(Austin #1). But I have now redefined that as bushings(for cost vs. Avg. Life). I’d like to see a study done on bushings across manufacturers
My 2004 jeep wj has a 4.7 and 243000 miles and still runs strong despite leaky valve covers and about a half a quart every 500 miles lol. Did I mention, I just bought a 95 land cruiser with 190 thousand miles for 3500 bucks 😊. I bring Her home in a week, I'm so happy, Bought it off a Marine 🇺🇲
When a TLC’S 25 year lifespan & required maintenance during those intervals are UNDERSTOOD, what’s not to like? Say one does a low normal 15,000 miles per year * 25 years = 375,000 miles, can do easy! I’ve owned 5 (1987,1991, 1994, 1995, 1996) so far in my lifetime. Use a synthetic oil & 20,000 miles oil, filter changes are belt & suspenders.
The antenna is pretty easy to fix. I did it on mine. It's a common issue where the white plastic gears break apart. I think the replacement parts are $15.
I have a 2015 Tacoma with 105k miles on it with no issues. I just had the front brake pads replaced for the first time ever. Toyotas are amazing vehicles.
I have a 2000 toyota corolla 1.4 vvti with 651 thousand miles on the clock...still on original engine and gearbox and the car is in almost mint condition with no rust at all (and I live on the Highlands of Scotland)I service it every 6000 miles and is going.very strong
My 98 4runner has 265,000 miles on it. Got it a year ago and the only problem I had was the alternator went out. It was the original one too which I thought was awesome. Just recently drove from abq to Tulsa with my heads warped and it had no problems. I'm sold on toyota....(yes I plan on doing my heads)
I have a Tundra with 185k and have replaced the fuel pump, u joints, front brake calipers. Engine runs great, bought new and have always used mobile 1.
Currently running a 2001 Colorado d4d auto at 200k miles now. Engine is perfect still, recent belts and water pump changed as part of service, burns very little oil. Suspension parts particularly bushes could do with a refresh. Body work is great - underneath in the Uk is prone to rot, especially around rear axel
After watching this video and Hoovie's video on his LX470, I was completely sold on a Land Cruiser, so I bought a clean one with 182K on the clock and only kept it for 4 months. Totally awesome truck and extremely well built but you have to consider them aging vehicles that may require a lot of work and effort spent repairing things. Despite mine coming with a full-service history report and dealer changed timing belt I ended up having a rough time. In the four-month span of ownership, it probably spent at least two months in the shop on four separate visits. Here are all the problems that came up: Transfer case bushing mounts failed so transfer case would move freely and thunk whenever throttle pressed, Struts were failing, Engine idled roughly in gear, Heater Tees disintegrated (Leaked all coolant in the driveway and needed to be towed to shop), Power window regulators were on their way out and STRUGGED or would get stuck, weatherstrips- although not cracked still let rain into the cabin, blower motor would sometimes make a strange sound, steering column would squeak on rotation (Fixed with WD-40 Silicone Lubricant), AC would leak badly into the cabin (Fixed by taking apart dash and replacing gasket). Anyways, I inherited a car with a TON of problems that seemed to all come up after purchasing. I loved the truck but didn't want to pay a fortune to fix items such as the thunk that shops couldn't seem to pinpoint so I traded it in for a loaded and sorted 2010 4Runner that is in much better shape overall and am happy. The Land Cruiser was a 2005 model and those 5 years made a HUGE difference. Maybe down the line, I'll purchase another Land Cruiser but for the time being, I'll stick to the 4Runner for many of years to come. Should I make a video detailing my experience?
my Tahoe with the 5.7L Vortec has 250,000 miles (400,000k) and is running strong with no oil burning. For me buying a used vehicle with a ton of miles, buy one of the Big 3 -Ford, Chrysler or GM) old Iron, parts are everywhere and easy to get and affordable to maintain~
I've got a 2006 Toyotya 4R V-8 with 122,000. It looks, runs and rides like brand new. Excluding gas, I've spent less than $6,000 on the usual items, batteries, tires, oil, brakes, struts, timing belt, water pump, etc. That is less than $400 per year. Can't beat that.
My 99 has upwards of 300,00 miles. the only thing needing replacement, aside from occasional parts that wear, was the starter and fan clutch. And yes, it goes off-road!
I'm at 306k on my 02 100 Series. I'm debating doing a light overland build on it because the mileage is so high, but I honestly can't see any reason why it won't make it to 400k or even 500k.
Your antenna is a Grower not a Shower. You have an antenna up down button directly below your OEM hazard lights button and above the center diff lock, it lowers and raises your antenna. This is a key land cruiser feature being able to lower the antenna without ripping it off while off-roading compared to other vehicles on the market in the 90s-early 2000s. Also, my 99 has 190k on it, running absolutely perfect. So much trust in this vehicle.
2002 Toyota Landcruiser. I bought it when it had 68K, it now has 240k. I have owned it for 14 years. I love that rig, and doubt I will ever get rid of it. I take pride it keeping that ol girl running smooth.
If I recall from my 100 Series, the antenna defaults to that low position when turned on and only extends fully when you turn on the AM/FM Radio. There is a button you can use to manually extend or retract it. The button is above the Diff lock button.
I have an 96 VX right hand drive, 270,000km now. Daily driver in Africa and going strong. Did the caskets recent, timing belt is still ok from 200,000k service.
My 2007 FJ Cruiser is still humming along with 773,000 km - about 480,000 miles - on it. Best vehicle ever!
Beats out any shitty Hummer any day! Love the FJ cruiser, but I like land cruiser more.
@MysteriousOklahoma yes but it evens out because it can use regular fuel and is recommended to use regular fuel so if the math is done, it doesn't cost much more then a normal car with higher compression v6

Going to continue to run like nee. Such a great car
blewyd right. Funny when people that don’t own one complain of the gas mileage but don’t realize that you won’t be spending money on repairs etc.
I had a 2003 4runner with 475k miles on it and I finally donated it even though the engine and transmission ran smoothly.
350,000 miles on my 2000 LC and I’m amazed every day how quiet, smooth and tight this machine still is after 20 years. This daily driver is bulletproof!

Had a 1991 Land Cruiser, sold it at 294,000 miles, it was in great condition and everything worked. I now own a 2006 LX 470 (Land Cruiser) with 165,000 and it runs and drives like new.
I have a 100 series in the same color as yours and it currently has 160k miles. Drives like new and I trust that truck to get me anywhere.
Beautiful car. I remember my uncle having one of these rebadged as a Lexus. When I got my learners permit I would take it up steep snowy slippery hills with ease not realizing it was a very capable off-roader. Keep the updates coming.
Got almost 280k on our 05 100, rides and drives like a dream
Glad it helped homie!
Maybe paradoxical is a better word than ironic? This is such a great video and I love these cars. I’m also not afraid of high mileage vehicles under the right circumstances.
I am very tempted to get one at 321k miles, one owner, religiously maintained
Nice rig! I'd like to do a lift next as well.
love the ride, got the Sequoia moved on and now pushing 09 GX470...all similar vehicles and I think are wonderful vehicles...Land Cruiser Prado 120 to the rest of the world..great videos and enjoy watching..keep it up sir...Ohio driving here too...
Right on!
Love it. My 2006 LX has about 215k and is still as smooth and luxurious as ever. Thanks for the videos.
This is the type of reviews that really matters, not the ones with descriptions you could read on any website
Thank you!
Happy 23rd birthday to my 2000 1HD fte beast master .
Original Black paint polishes up real sweet.
430,000 km and still looking good and going strong,
East coast Australia
Benjamin Ongoco I got 07 GX 160k 💪
2006 gx470 here, 198,000 miles, changed an alternator at 180k. Other than routine maintenance and timing belt at 100k nothing else
Have an 01 v8 sequoia with 297k miles on her. Wouldn’t even know it by driving it. Just recently retired it, as my commute increased by 100 miles a day. She’s just a weekend warrior now. The tires will rot before the engine goes haha.
I had a 2007 100 series it was nice. My 2008 diesel 4.5 however is the best car I've ever owned
100% agree with this on my '99. So well made.
I have a 2000 LC with 385,000 miles ❤️ love it
I own a 1986 FJ62 auto, highroof at 708.000 km still going like when i bought it, everything still works including rear Aircon. The best most reliable vehicle ive owned, im 63! And 1998 LX470 at over 500.000km, beautiful vehicle everything works no trouble. No not selling.
Still many years & miles to go with proper maintenance Nice content
That model Land Cruiser is basically my V8 '03 4Runner with a different body. My 4Runner is going on 209K miles and going strong. These V8's are indestructible.
If they’ve done a lot of heavy towing you might be up for a transmission rebuild at around 500,000 Kms
I have a 2001 Rav4 AWD with 273,000 + miles with it's original engine and trans.
At 265k miles with good maintenance history it has a long life left ahead of it. Very well put together video!
You and I have very similar taste in cars. I’ve owned many different high powered Euro & Japanese cars and by far, my favorite is the 100 series LC. I purchased a 02’ with 232k and gave it to my father. I then purchased a 120 series (gx470) prado LC (4Runner). I’m currently in between buying a defender 90 or 110 (non NAS) or a fast toy (2019 m5, gtr or 997.2 911)
Don’t skip on tbelt and heater T’s
LONG LIVE THE LANDCRUISER!!
If one can take the gas consumption (it’s hard to watch that needle fall), these Land Cruisers are excellent.
Good point.
What you pay for in gas, you save in repairs and tow bills.
I admit that I can tell it pretty good when I am 70Mph or over, but if I am on a highway in my GX470, I can get pretty good, 19-20.
side steps and tires look awesome. I love them but pricey and all usually beat or rusted. cool video
500 000 kms on mine and just about to embark on another big tour
hey-does anyone know what kind of tires and running board and rubber floor mats he has on that Cruiser? i just purchased an ‘01 and would love to lose the carpet and change tires-thx:)
I have just acquired a 03 with 200,000 miles. its so good that i feel this is the best thing to happen to me in 2021. Buying a land cruiser is also the best decision I have made in 4 years!
how much did you pick it up for?
I've got a '99 LC. 2nd one I've owned. Present one has 170K miles and runs like new. Looking forward to 500k miles! I love these 100 series LC's. Great styling and ride. Just rode 500 miles to a wedding in Va.. Got out feeling like I'd driven to the grocery store! A lot of my friends could afford to really drive anything on the planet and a good many of them drive 100 series LC's. All they need is a newer stereo w a back up camera and you're golden!
I’ve got a 2000 with 325k on the clock. Everything works and I’ve only had to replace an alternator so far in my ownership!
Love those tires! How do I convince my wife I absolutely need them for my LC? Let me think on that.
You man up, and go buy them.
That's right. Make the purchase
I noticed you like all your vehicles in the same color as I do.
I’ve had a 2000 LC for 5 years now with 220,xxx on it and it’s a tank. I plan on it being my kids first car when they get older.
Nate Knudtson Great Plan!
I’ve studied transmissions as the lowest common denominator to measure reliability(Austin #1). But I have now redefined that as bushings(for cost vs. Avg. Life). I’d like to see a study done on bushings across manufacturers
I LOVE quiet, understated luxury and, while I have never owned one, the Toyota Landcruiser certainly seems to be the epitome of that.
This is it!
Yay OHIO! Me too! I love when the rain makes the paint on my 4runner look new😆.
This is only half way of its life, Toyota’s especially 4runners and landcruisers can run for 500k miles.
actually there are a lot of landcruisers that have a million+. I own a GX470 now but I used to have a 4runner, those do very well too.
No.. they have million miles life
Not even half. This is barely breaking it in. They can go over a million easily.
Don’t forget the Tacoma, Tundra, Camry, etc... Toyota will forever be the king of reliability.
USA folks: My truck is sooo high mileage @265k miles
Eastern Europe: Let's wind it back to 100k miles & sell it for 3x the value it's worth
True. My eastern european lc had 200.000km on the odo. Along with everything else that's for sale here. But with the lc it doesn't really matter!
Super video, super car! Cheers, take care
I have a 2000 toyota corolla 1.4 vvti with 651 thousand miles on the clock...still on original engine and gearbox and the car is in almost mint condition with no rust at all (and I live on the Highlands of Scotland)I service it every 6000 miles and is going.very strong
In AU these old tanks are much wanted for pulling caravans and cruising the out back
My 98 4runner has 265,000 miles on it. Got it a year ago and the only problem I had was the alternator went out. It was the original one too which I thought was awesome. Just recently drove from abq to Tulsa with my heads warped and it had no problems. I'm sold on toyota....(yes I plan on doing my heads)
Just bought mine w/ 287K on it, on it's fourth timing belt/waterpump, running well. Take care of them and they go.
I have a Tundra with 185k and have replaced the fuel pump, u joints, front brake calipers. Engine runs great, bought new and have always used mobile 1.
the pc im watching this video makes more noise than this LC idling , thats impressive , cheers from Portugal!
I love your videos about the mighty Land Cruiser!
Yes; make a video for us to show what can happen. Thats everyones worst nightmare to keep us up late at night.
I wonder if the previous owner knew more then he let on?
my Tahoe with the 5.7L Vortec has 250,000 miles (400,000k) and is running strong with no oil burning.
I have 309k miles on my 100. I ABUSE it on weekends and daily it to work. Even after going to 35”s with 5.29 gears it just keeps scooting along.
If you have not managed to extend your antenna yet, just press the “antenna UP” button to the right of your steering wheel 🤙🏻
My dads 1998 Tacoma with 350K miles still hums along like it’s new
2002 Toyota Landcruiser. I bought it when it had 68K, it now has 240k. I have owned it for 14 years. I love that rig, and doubt I will ever get rid of it. I take pride it keeping that ol girl running smooth.
Also... In 14 years of owning my '02, she has never let me down. Solid vehicles.
That thing is gorgeous! Where did you get your replacement axle?
If I recall from my 100 Series, the antenna defaults to that low position when turned on and only extends fully when you turn on the AM/FM Radio. There is a button you can use to manually extend or retract it. The button is above the Diff lock button.
Good video, my 2005 has 270,000 miles and runs great
I have an 96 VX right hand drive, 270,000km now. Daily driver in Africa and going strong. Did the caskets recent, timing belt is still ok from 200,000k service.
