My uneducated guess is that they can sort of "trademark" this series which would make the unruly money under a contract and netflix can put this up on there service. All that matters is the price, the production is there and done all they have to do is reach the unruly to get it done. Though, another thing to point out is that the clips and visuals used in these vids are from companies that are not part of netflix or wouldnt want to do biz w netflix in the first place, so there is a dilemma there.
You dont understand...you are putting out important essays on Kanye's music that would not only be considered wonderful...they will be the first thing on YT when people search a Ye album. People will refer to this video to re-emphasize Kanye's work in music. I love your work and I love you for putting the time and effort for doing this. Thank you.
They did that 2 both sell tons of records cuz 50 knew music was changing around 07 n the south took over but curtis was fire imo but graduation was kanyes best album
Kanye finished what Outkast started and drove ganster rap underground and turned it into a subgenre of hip-hop. It's amazing when you really think about it.
Eeesh, yeah, but he also (unknowingly and not purposely) changed things so people like Drake could exist and change things further and until very recently hip hop was suffering because of it and it may continue to go in a bad direction because of it. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad Ye made music and got as big as he did, especially the first few records, but because everyone doesn’t have his talent, we get watered down versions and it’s hurt rap.
@veiledrecalcitrance4314 Drake existing is not a problem , Drake has a crazy pen game. Ye is responsible for all of the auto-tunned rappers. I was laughing the other day when Ye dropped V2, I was watching a reaction video and the TH-camr had trouble figuring out the features because Ye doesn't put the names and all these auto-tunned rappers sound the same, so even a young person from this generation can't tell them apart. I thought it was just because im 40 and getting old 😆 ,
The combination of background music, the sound of your voice, and the precision with which you choose your words really elevate the Kanye Series you've created to something special. I continue to rewatch ALL of them over and over each year. Damn near every month. The story of Kanye (to me) is the story of a man who believed in himself. Who doesn't experience self doubt? Who hasn't gone through frustration, rejection, and embarrassment? To go SO FAR in a world full of naysayers. They told him he couldn't rap so he rapped. They told him he couldn't do fashion so he did fashion. He is a living example of believing in a vision in spite of public and mostly importantly, personal doubt. Call me a stan but his weaknesses only serve to humanize him and make him more relatable. To think that a man with such weaknesses could make it so far only inspires, nay, forces me to believe that I am capable of achieving things beyond my grasp.
The way Kanye explains Can't Tell Me Nothing really does describe how I feel the song. I like how I always thought the same way. That shit reaches to the common person.
this album really speaks to me. the samples are so good and they're used so well; i barely skip any song on it and songs like "i wonder" and "big brother" give me the inspo to keep moving forward and graduate into an even better me
I always viewed Graduation as Kanye taking us through the day that he graduated from college. His day starts with Good Morning and he parties throughout the day with songs like Good Life and what not. His day starts to slow down with Flashing Lights. And he reflects on his life at the end of the day with Big Brother.
Illest....Letterman tries to keep Kanye in a can the whole interview. He’s scared Ye might say something controversial and keeps steering the conversation to his safe space. It’s awkward as hell to me.
fun fact: the guy that also helped design dropout bear is sam hanson from FTK, he also handled all of his merch for a while. Hes a living legend in fresno, ca and im glad he re-opened his shop down the street from where i grew up
Fabolous NineNine if you fw outkast you might like the zombies Both are lyrical and use insane beats produced by the groups, and they have a group dynamic in their songs which works well (not as smooth as outkast especially in their earlier tapes)
This is so important to our culture. I was a kid when Graduation dropped and all of these complex messages went right over my head. I just enjoyed the music. I love re-listening as an adult and experiencing something different while still being able to experience that nostalgia. It's truly magic.

Kanye West's - Graduation CHANGED EVERYTHING, Stadium Status, it was the beginning of Hip Hop targeting Stadium hits, Stadium Success, Rock Stadium Like, Kanye Lead the Experimental Wave in Hip Hop, also with 808's and Heartbreaks...
My view on graduation (my favorite album of all time) Good Morning - I Wonder: Kanye leaving Chicago and pursuing a rapper lifestyle Good Life - Drunk and Hot Girls: Kanye achieves his dreams of becoming a rapper and living the good life, but at the end discovers that women are using him, he’s become fame hungry, and his life is boring. Flashing Lights - Big Brother Kanye is reminded of Chicago, and can’t escape his fame. He gets sentimental, emotional, and takes a look at himself. He’s still the same Kanye and is trying to apologize. Kanye on the next song has one of his most egotistical moments. “I did it for the glory”. Kanye revisits Chicago and laments over his childhood in his hometown. He realizes how out of touch he has become. On big brother, Kanye talks about the people who helped him, becoming even more grounded and becomes truly appreciative and humble.

The artist talking about his middle class upbringing was so interesting. He never pretended to be street cause he couldn't but still related to the people. Not everyone can relate to shooting someone. He really change hip hop. Give him that.
ThePokestopPapi it was well portrayed in my personal opinion. I love how it’s edited, the subjects at hand were talked through fully. Kanye leaving Chicago and pursuing a rapper lifestyle
Good Life - Drunk and Hot Girls:
Kanye achieves his dreams of becoming a rapper and living the good life, but at the end discovers that women are using him, he’s become fame hungry, and his life is boring.
Flashing Lights - Big Brother
Kanye is reminded of Chicago, and can’t escape his fame. He gets sentimental, emotional, and takes a look at himself. He’s still the same Kanye and is trying to apologize. Kanye on the next song has one of his most egotistical moments. “I did it for the glory”. Kanye revisits Chicago and laments over his childhood in his hometown.
