Timisoara is Romania's 3rd largest city located in the western region near the Serbian and Hungarian borders. Ok, can we talk about how there seemingly are like barley any cars in the city? So much is pedestrianized, and theres transit everywhere! Im incredibly impressed
They filmed this entire video in the historical center of Timisoara, which is 100% car free, pedestrians only.. And it's pretty big, many streets. But rest assured outside the historical center there are plenty of cars everywhere :))
You know you are in România when a local that you just met on the street 5 minutes ago invites you to his home and cooks for you.
100% one of the most interesting countries I've ever seen. About as Latin and developed as you can get, yet the social experience you get is unlike anywhere in Europe. Few are as nice as the Romanians.

The beauty of Timisoara is not in architecure, but in the peaceful life between the different populations: germans, hungarians, serbiens, romanians, italians. And we have also the Gaza Strip, very quiet too! 😄

In Timisoara i use to LOVE and walk in summer nights, 25 years of my life i've been there!! Magic place with beautiful ppl...enjoy Yr stat and u can Extensiv ur trip to 48 hours. Cant wait to SEE that gulaș u talk about!!

Am mai văzut videoclipuri cu orașul Timișoara și de la alții, sunt destule lucruri de vizitat in Timișoara. Muzeul comunismului din Timisoara. Pentru că tot este vara merge foarte bine in Orașul Oradea, in centrul orașului, in Aquapark-ul Nimpheea, Mall-urile sunt mai mici, este și un centru comercial aproape de Aeroport, Auchan, din parcarea magazinului se vad câteodată cum aterizează avioanele. De vizitat cetatea Oradea, De vizitat Băile Felix și Strand Apollo.

Nice video. Just to be accurate, actually the Revolution started in a smaller square south of the Mitropolitan Cathedral - Piața Maria. But the main events took place in Victory Square, where like 50k people gathered and speeches where held from the Opera house balcony, the building is the only one I think in Europe that helds 3 state theaters: romanian, german and hungarian.
P.s.: palinca has to much alcohol :))

If ever you are in NY, and miss papanasi, stop by Romanian Garden in Sunnyside, Queens. You will not be disappointed. And the best flavor is with apricot jam. To die for!

the first pastry that looked like a cinnamon roll is actually called "Melc cu nuca" which translates to Snail with walnuts :)). Because guess what, it looks like the shell of a snail. :)) And the second one is not a hotdog, its actually a CovriDog :)) =]], it has covrid(pretzel) dough. There is another one called CovriKing which can be found at Petru, and it has instead of the sausage, ham and cheese, and it's the best! :))

yes the dishes you tried are definetly more for winter time, they are really heavy and warming.

If you still around you could try ciorba radauteana, it is a unique kind of chicken soup invented in my hometown Radauti, you can find it anywhere in the country I think.

go to from pastry shops are always merdenea (a cheese pastry), covrig cu seminte (the seed soft pretzel), or you can get it with cheese or chocolate too, yogurt/pumpkin/sweet cheese/apple strudels

Just came from a video of some Austrian girl visiting which only showcased the bad places here in Romania, the ghetto of some cities, poor villages and some homeless and rroma people. It is truly a shame she tried to put such a bad image over our country, when this is just a small procentage which to be honest every country has, this was made out of malice and for clicks. There s no such place as perfect but filming only those places brings no justice. Seeing that video really made me realise how lucky we are that you and some other channels visited our country and did such a great job showcasing our beautiful culture, I cannot really thank you for that

Fun fact that you probably didn’t know about, if you look up the buildings in victory square you can still see the holes made by the bullets during the revolution in ‘89
One thing you should know,we have 2 different sarmale(one of the traditional dishes of Romania),they are either rolled in cabbage leafs,or in wine leafs,i personally like more the ones rolled in wine leafs,as the cabbage leafs have a pickled taste which doesn't go well for me,but the ones rolled on wine leafs and made with beef and rice,are better,also try "Ardei umpluti",means stuffed peppers as they are something different than sarmale(the stuffing is quite the same),and ask to be stuffed with beef and rice

My favourite soup is beef soup or "Ciorba de Vacuta".You most definitely try that,with sour cream,you ask the waiter for the sour cream,then you add it manually with the spoon in the soup,and with spicy pepper "Ardei iuti" which you just take small bites from it as it is veeeery spicy
aww I think you guys went there earlier than I did. I specifically went there from Bucharest to attend the JAZZx Festival. I don't know if you caught any of it, it was a great mix of brilliant artists from all around the globe - coming from the US like Thundercat and Tigran Hamasyan, from India and the UK: SHAKTI (& John Mclaughlin). That was a good occassion to see em in one spot.
It might be just a coincidence you went there around that time in mid/late june - but if you did go to that concert too, that's awesome! It was great :)

You should visit the eastern and northern part of the country. Iasi is a beatifull city with a lot of things to see and then Bucovina with all it's fortresses and monasteries. Based on your previous videos, I think you will love it. Cherry on top, the local food is amazing.

You should visit Oradea it's north of Timisoara at least 4 hours with train ride. It's very beautifull and it's worth it!

in timisoara i tasted the best unfiltred blonde beer in the world (it is sweet not bitter) but i don t remember the name of the bar...is somewhat dark and the beer is in barrells

You should go Piatra Neamt .Its a small gem hidden in Romania.
I mean,if you didn't visit the Peles Castle,and the Pelisor Castle you probably won't have to miss it anytime you wanna visit Brasov and the surroundings,you can see the Peles Castle in many hollywood movies with a Christmas theme, A Christmas prince 1,2, and 3, A Princess for Christmas .
