Not only does RM have dimples, he wrote a whole-ass song about dimples for himself 😂. It's called Dimple and he got the vocal line sing it, possibly so he could just lean back and enjoy them praising his dimples 🤣

I’m a 65 years old Filipina and a BTS Army , living in Canada 🇨🇦. I became an Army after I had my kidney transplant.
During my recuperation at the hospital, listening to their music and watching their videos and performances , alleviate the pain and keeps me entertained ( no visitors are allowed during Covid ). It makes me happy when listening to their music because every music is full of positivity.

Yaaay!!! jin and hobi are chaotic but the chaotic duo are jin and jk, those are called Tom and Jerry and as a duo they are so underrated, cause it's true jk joined bts because of rm but he stayed because of jin (jk was super shy and a kid and was afraid but jin showed him his family and seul so he stayed, i mean jk said that) their bond is really special even if they are 5 years apart, my personal favorite bond

My first bias is the same for me for 4 years. Jungkook mainly because I relate to him. I am a perfectionist, introvert and try to be as giod as I can in different things and I am pretty much a sore loser T-T
If I am being honest my fave duos are Yoonkook and Sope ist seeing the antisocial introvert interact with the social extrovert is so beautiful. And Yoongi gives me like dad or big brother energy for JK. As 2 introverts with similair interest and some differences. It is beautiful. All friendships are beautiful + I really love maybe the most the ones with Hobi. He always lights up the mood and is so sweet.
Love BTS so much. Jin and JK are truly the most chaotic duo, the oldest and the youngest. Jungkook is my bias but they've all bias wrecked me at one point or another. They are truly so kind and funny and their music and lyrics are unmatched for me. I can't wait for your journey
Yes, J-Hope released his album "Jack in the box" and two singles "More" and "Arson" this month. The album dominated at number one in dozens of countries on Spotify, where it became the fastest to reach 100 million streams, and J-Hope even became the first solo Korean artist to enter the top ten global singles list. His album was also positively received by critics of the world's major music media, and the Grammys named J-Hope artist of the month, along with Liziie and Beyonce. Hobi also topped Billboard's Hot trending song, replacing Jimin, the single "More" ranked on the Hot 100 singles, and became the first Korean to top 10 the alternative and rock charts as well. Austin, thank you so much for sharing your journey towards discovering BTS🙏. I am so happy you decided to explore them as artists and as people. I really can't tolerate when ppl try to compare different artists and try to fight over who is better when each and every artist works so hard for their dream. The reason why I love BTS and why they will always have a special place in my heart is because they have created a safe space for anyone who needs it and a sense of belonging💜. I have so much respect for them as musicians and as humans. They stand by us ARMY and we stand by them. I know that there is quite a lot of contrevorsy around how toxic and immature some fans can be, but I have honestly met only sweet and beautiful ppl in this community and I don't share the same bad experience as others. I try to be very selective of my surroundings and ARMY's I have met have been just wonderful 💜. I can't wait to join you on your reaction to more of BTS' music and content🥰

JK mentioning that 'it's not that I don't like doing tv shows' - I think he just meant tv shows are part of idol duties but his true love is doing concerts.
Yes BTS were meant to be a hiphop group at first. When J-hope joined as a trainee all the other trainees were rappers, including RM, Suga and several others. When the direction changed to an idol group, most left apart from RM, Suga and J-hope.
This guide is good but I kind of wish it didn't mention the 'looks cold' thing about Suga, anyone who watches him for 5 minutes can see he's a huge softy. His main love language is totally acts of service!
You called J-hope vitamin C - Suga actually calls J-hope his vitamin 🥺. Very sweet.
J-hope is a very bright person and can be loud when he's 'on', but i wouldn't say he's very chaotic. He's very professional and organised. Yes he just released a new album where you will see the darker side of him!
The most chaotic one is Jin. He does the most random stuff because of a whim, and we love it. He's hilarious. His other side is that he's an introvert and a homebody, and can be shy. Yes the WWH thing is definitely a joke for him!
You mentioned J-hope and Jin together - they are very fun together and they have tons of super cute interactions on instagram.

Ok I came back and I see people have already answered some of your questions such as JK's age when he joined etc. JK, Taehyung and Jimin were all underage when they debuted but they didn't do what I would call a sexy concept until three years later when JK was an adult, so I appreciate that.
Also I appreciate your willingness to wait for a bit to name a bias! I see people naming biases after seeing a couple MVs and I could never, I have to wait until I know their personalities.
So, I was a casual fan in 2008. Big Bang, Shinee, 2NEI, TVXQ (DBSK) I frequently listened to. I fell out of KPOP mostly due to societal pressure, I was just going into college/graduated high school and finding myself and I let my friends sway my feelings. Fast forward to 2015, and BTS fell in my lap with I Need You. Their journey and the message they sent out was a driving factor to my own emotional growth (and to staying true to myself and saying screw societal pressure) Quite seriously, It changed my life so I am definitely protective to BTS and ARMY.
I won’t go into it too much but the attacks and organized hate in 2016 really traumatized my willingness to explore other groups. It was bad and at the time BTS and ARMY only really had each other so we may have got a little codependent out of necessity at the time.
I made an exception for Seventeen in 2016/17 because their fandom was so peaceful and they were just starting out.
It’s honestly really taken me until 2020 to really come around to exploring other groups. Funny enough, I have Seungkwan (SVT) to thank for my exploration, he really just loves idol music and his passion for the groups and music really encouraged me to be more open to exploration and to move past the hate and “trolls” /“antis”
It’s been fun, but even now, I don’t really scroll through audience comments because even if the video is not about BTS, there are tons of comments hating on BTS and ARMY. It’s like a casual conversation for ppl and really the best response is to block and ignore at this point.
Anyway, I’m glad to see your reaction to BTS (it was a nice surprise) and I cannot wait to see the rest of the week. It’s hard to find a genuine reactor to BTS these days (I don’t really seek out new reactors to them). Ironically, I fell into SayWhat reacts through other groups and was able to witness her journey and Caitlyn’s as well -I’m excited to see yours!
So, I think V made the Purple meaning up but Army loved it and ran with it. Borahae! 💜 Also, the dad jokes are Jin's department. 😉
I was toxic for a long time. I used to hate them that is so sad to say but I was. I am following Anitra and not going to lie her energy and her being so open minded made me take a step back from that mentality. I wanted to give myself a chance and at least at least not hate them. It happened I suddenly became at peace. I started to look at them as humans. When I did, They were the best at what they do. They have a very respectful message. I can't not admit that their music is healing. I needed it. I am EXO-L. Forever EXO-L. that doesn't mean I can't say how emotionally supportive BTS music was to me. I am so happy that I got rid of that closed mind mentality and that I love them openly now.

I love them(now), but i also disliked them before even knowing them, ppl were really toxic (ones i know) about dynamity and butter, so every time i hear those songs, I dislike that group(not bts, but the 'bts'group I formed in my mind-__-)
I seriously can't watch that video without tearing up. Them asking people to go to their concert and that it's free. Jk is a baby. They deserve all the success and acknowledgement they have worldwide. They worked hard.
I just watched Anitra's live and was so happy seeing you in the chat mentioning Jin! I think people tend to gravitate towards maknae line or RM (and i'm not blaming them, all off the members wreck me constantly) but I'm always so happy when people show their love for Jin. He's just so funny, smart and caring. Truly a husband material. For all my Jin biased people, thank you for appreciating our talented WWH!

Hi Sir Austin! I was a viewer before back in 2020 and I honestly don't remember what group I was watching you for, probably Twice or Dreamcatcher. As you can tell, I grew out of those girl groups and stopped watching you - so it's super weird and almost nostalgic for me to see you again now reacting to the only group I will ever die for, BTS 💜 I discovered them at a low point in my life and everything about them just helps me look forward to each day, so I'm super excited to see you on the same journey I took when I first gave them a chance! Like you and probably like a lot of other people, I knew who BTS was the moment I entered Kpop, but I let the words of others and my own biases sway me. BTS were surpassing and continue to surpass my (past) faves, so I followed others and taught myself to dislike anything that had to do with them, all while convincing myself that I wasn't disliking them for no reason but that I hate ARMYs (The most common excuse: "I don't hate BTS, I just don't like ARMYs"). It's funny and sad to think of that now - the fact that the groups I liked didn't really teach me anything, while the group I used to avoid has taught me the most important lessons in life, and inspire me to keep living for the future. Sad backstory out of the way, I commented to wish you a great time in discovering BTS and being an ARMY! I have found such a welcoming community in this purple nation, and I hope you do too! I firmly believe that music you can dance to and vibe with is great, BUT it's music that molds you to be better and inspires something good within you that should really be treasured 💜

Austin it’s crazy how similar we are when it comes to BTS. Jimin is my bias and is my first Bias ever in kpop. I was captivated by his everything. Voice, dancing ability, & personality. I have a thing for sweet guys. Hence why my ults are Jimin, Jungwoo, & Renjun lol. When it comes to Jimin there’s this deep emotional connection I have to him. I could talk hours about him and what he’s done for me as an individual. Just so happens that when I became an Army I was also highly interested in Jimin & V’s relationship. VIMIN brings me so much comfort bc I secretly desire a friendship as such. So I highly recommend looking into that friendship. Another thing you & I are similar on is Suga😂 Suga is my bias wrecker when it comes to Bts. My first introduction to Bts was their Mv for Dope. Both Jimin & Suga stood out to me in that MV & they’ve been on my list since. I have so much respect for Suga & like Jimin, I have a strong emotional connection with Suga. His talent amazes me & his lyricism is everything. So again I think you & I are so similar when it comes to BTS🥰
PS: The thing about James Corden in my opinion was a waste of time. He made a joke about how since BTS was invited to the UN that there’s now 15 year olds paying attention to the UN. He wasn’t saying all Army was 15 years old like some fans tried saying. I get that it’s frustrating when ppl only think of fandoms as young kids but not only was he not saying that, some army took it way to far. We can’t get upset over things like this bc even though there’s ignorant ppl talking on something they have no idea on, we as fans know the truth. So we shouldn’t get caught up on small things as such. James Corden has been nothing but respectful to BTS & Army. I think that should be more considered than one lil joke:)))

Let’s gooooo! I’m excited, I got into kpop in 2008 with staning SHINee but I became an army in early 2014. I truly truly love them I’m so happy you are exploring them. They honestly deserve all that they have now :D also I gotta say the HYYH era is personally there peak. Even though they are huge now, that is personally there musical peak for me. It was truly a beautiful time
1:26:00 if you want to know more about Jimin and Taehyung, I would recommend you to watch THE VALUE OF GOOD FRIEND THAT VMIN HOLD IN THEIR FRIENDSHIP by BORAHAE SARANGHAE or vmin moments i think about a lot by thictae. Jin is actually super chaotic with JK. They definitely have the older brother and younger brother feel, than throw Jimin in the mix and it is none stop laughing...haha
When you mentioned having that protective feeling with JK, that is exactly how I feel. He is a tough guy, but he is also a very emotionally person and when he gets emotionally you just want to hug him.
My ult bias is RM and J-Hope, but the I also bias the hyung line and always get wreck by the maknae line. I even have a solo work Playlist by maknae line that I love listening to when I am going to sleep...haha

Jimin deserves better fandom seriously. People are so disgusting to him for no reason. He even gets most hate inside fandom. No one deserves him
1:31:30 - when it comes to the protectiveness that ARMY has for BTS, there is a lot of factors that play into it, but you seem to understand the gist.
But from being apart of this since 2016 and watching the fandom grow I have gained some insight.
ARMY really isnt so quick to anger as people seem to believe.
Real sees real.
Like you mentioned, a large fanbase is going to have some outliers or people with bad intentions, absolutely. But when we as a fandom feel the need to protect it's only in situations where a person either is actually being hateful, or did/said something very ignorant and doesnt back down after being informed.
It's really interesting to watch honestly.
Take reaction channels for example.
A channel can come in openly hating bts and still will still be heard out. If they end up making a reaction to a bts song with an open mind and still dont like it, they dont get piled on. If they do end up having their interests peaked, cool!
On the flip side there can be a reactor who might like BTSs music but have internalized stereotypes in their minds that they think are fact. They will have people correct them in the comments (this usually looks like 132 informative posts, and like 7 with a nastier tone) and they can either learn from the comments or get defensive. If they choose to get defensive and not learn, well... it's a big protective group. They're gonna see more constructive criticism, and even more nastiness then before, and on and on.
First time reactors (since were still going with this example) mostly have a very positive experience with ARMY. (And most people in general). We arent out looking for people to fight, and would generally like to not fight with people. But if something needs to be corrected, we aren't afraid to do so because BTS defends us just as much as we defend them.

Thank you for giving BTS a chance 💜 I was following your channel because of your SNSD reactions and I was pleasantly surprised that you're doing a BTS week. I feel so excited ahhhh. My two loves 😭 Anyway, just a suggestion for more future content if you wanna deep dive into BTS. There is a fan-made series called Rise of Bangtan here on TH-cam that summarizes the whole journey our boys went through in their 9 years. Each episode corresponds to a specific era as they progress and grow throughout their career starting from predebut (Ep1 - predebut, Ep2 - debut (1st album), Ep3 - 1st comeback (2nd album), and so on). I think it gives much more insight in the direction the boys took and it gives context to the lyrics and type of music Bangtan released depending on the circumstances they were in during a specific time. But as always, do what you are most comfortable with, I'm sure you have everything planned out. I hope you'll come to love the Tannies. They're amazing people. Again, thank you sm! All the best 💜
This journey will be so much fun, so happy you take your time to really get to know them, they are amazing!! Also thank you for understanding right away that Jin call himself world wide handsome as a joke, he also does it to boost his self-confidence and also because he want to make his members and others more relaxed and comfortable in interviews and other situations. I also gravitate towards unique voices. And minored in music. I’m in healthcare. There are so many people who can sing. There are also many voices that are generic and sounds similar. Kpop is full of that. They all go for the typical perfect pop sounding voice. It’s boring. But once in a while you find a voice so unique and different. Jimin is that for me along with kyuhyun from super junior. There’s so much you can do with their voices and they learn to perfectly use their voice. And I love all jimin solos cause he always bring something different.

I love all the ships (friendship) in BTS. It’s so amazing that no matter who you put together you’ll get an interesting and wholesome dynamic. Because of so much let's say inconveniences around BTS since the debut I am not even mad when Armies going berserk on certain people or their actions. It's bond to happen then whole surrounding treat you like a trash constantly every day every year that would make snap even most in balance person and this is happening for 8 years now. (me an ARMY since 2014).
The reason most of us love BTS is way beyond their music. Their personalities and their influence is so positive and endearing. Especially when most of the music and artists is so bad and negative.

Army gets hated on a lot… there are shitty ppl in all fandoms imo…. And real army follow the lead of our boys and the good they do… it’s amazing how many charitable things done in BTS name which is the most powerful thing they could ever do. It’s inspiring and makes you want to get up and do what you can in a positive way 💜

Seventeen and BTS are my two ult groups. When I think of these 2 groups I always think of: pure serotonin boost, crackhead energy, kindness and warmth, true friendship and of course amazing talent.
To answer your question about James Corden, it's complicated, at least for me: because many people in general, not just some ARMY, have been slowly but surely detecting strong disingenuous energy from Corden. Besides word of him being as rude to people and staff as Ellen DeGeneres (there was even a story of him ignoring his wife and crying child on an airplane!), in regards to BTS he made fun of ARMY as being just made of screaming teenage girls. Original, right? BEFORE this BTS had a lot of fun with James Corden in Carpool Karaoke, where he and Jimin connected over the old nickname Jimin was given, "Mochi," because of his squishy cute face. Jimin responded by giving Corden the nickname "Papa Mochi," and all was fine and dandy.
But AFTER he made those comments about ARMY, apparently some over the top people claiming to be ARMY gave him death threats, which of course is way too extreme. BTS politely but firmly confronted Corden about his comments on his show the next time they appeared. You could tell they were protective over ARMY but didn't want to make anyone severely cancelled. So Corden apologized, practically begging Jimin awkwardly to still accept him as "Papa Mochi." He hesitantly accepted, and now Corden is sort of uncancelled but, you know, I still don't get a good vibe from him. That's just me though.
JK was closer to 13 when he joined BigHit. He is ARMY's golden Maknae. a name given to him by RM.
Now JK's singing voice is like everything but I can absolutely say that Jimin's songs OST's just his solo is so gorgeous I bet he has my favorite flavor musically
His tone is very very satisfying to listen to its piercing and satisfying

Few of them were minors when they debuted, but they didn't sing about the stuff they shouldn't be & neither it was a cute concept... it was a heavily hiphop influenced song & the lyrics were about teenage children & dreams & all ... debut song - 'No More Dream' .... is a must to checkout, mannnnnn!!!!
I don't know If you're taking any suggestions for the BTS week. BUT if you'd like see some "funny", behind the scene videos I would recommend my favourite channels: jinnie eats, SugArmyy and kookiestetas. Jinnie eats tends to focus on Jin, but they also have videos on other members. None of these channels are solo stans (at least from what I know) and they are pretty well updated, they use a lot of recent footage in their videos. Honestly, I would stay back from older BTS compilations, because they tend to stereotype the members (e.g. saying that Suga is lazy or cold) or they only focus on one trait of the member, not exploring their other traits or personality (like only mentioning Jin's good looks, saying that RM is a god of destruction, and yes, Jin is handsome and RM has his moments when he's clumsy, but they're so much more than that)

It was during a part when they talked about one of the members OSTs and they mentioned the iTunes #1 stats. You had made a small comment in regards to how 'we know anything BTS does is going to do good' or something like that lol
Well, we do! We are in kpop spaces and hear about BTS alot in more detail. Those stats, however, have continued to suprise non-kpop listeners because they dont fully understand the scope of BTSs success. To the general population who arent in kpop spaces, BTS does not seem successful. They're known for having a really "rabid" fanbase. The optics are off. So when people actually see the stats they start to actually pay attention to them and regard them more seriously.
Again, I know this was a throw away line and not meant to be taken seriously, but I thought it brought up a good point in my mind.
BTS' first sexy concept happened when Jungkook came off age, so you don't have to worry about their early concepts being too mature. There's like a peek of abs, but that's about it. It was more like teen rebelion, some mental health and hype songs and also the beginning of their alternate universe story. They don't actually have that many "sexy" concepts in general. Though obviously, being who they are, it's often sort of a by-product 😂😂
They have one of the best lyrics..even though when I don't like the song itself..I have always loved their lyrics..so beautiful, emotional and poetic💕

Can I just also say I am huge ARMY, but also a multistan. BTS was my first group and my first Kpop love and I have so much pride in the heights they reached because I feel like I fought to help get them there. But I've pretty much always been a multistan. BTS introduced me to Kpop and KPOP is my main love. part of why I love BTS is because they introduced me to Kpop! and Korea and Korean culture. and honestly introduced me to consuming any content in another language which has fastly expanded and changed my entire world view.
So I love BTS very much for their music, who they are, and what they stand for, but also for being that life changing introduction.
Which is also why it blows my mind how any ARMY could attack another KPOP group or why so many Kpop fans don't like BTS for their fans or for how big they got. They help bring more eyes and ears to other groups and have helped Kpop grow as a whole. Also tons of fans of the groups they love might also very well be ARMY.
Just spread love and respect yall and that's why we love Sir Austin as well!

Their early music videos don’t really have “mature” concepts, it’s mostly high-school type themes. Their ages at debut were: RM 18; Jin 20; Suga/Yoongi 20; JHope/Hobi 19; Jimin 17; Tae/V 17; Jungkook 15. I discovered them in 2015, when Yoongi was 22 (i was 19), so I was fine…And Jimin killed me with Lie in 2016, when he was turning 21, and I’m a year younger than him, so that wasn’t weird either…Hobi has killed me several times (with platinum hair, he is LETHAL)…And Jin and Joon have also come for me…But I always saw Jungkook as a kid, he was so young at debut, and he is a year younger than me, so he was a child…Then came Fake Love, and I was tormented 😂😂🤷♂️ But I got over it…Until Butter last year - he was so charming, and smiley, and twirly, with his long purple hair - I was dead 💀
So I guess my biases are still Yoongi and Jimin, but Lordy, I’m spoilt for choice (not gonna mention Tae, he is tooooo beautiful for anyone’s peace of mind), and I am so grateful to be Army, for seven years now. These men inspire me, they make me strive to be a better person, they gave me reasons to get up in the morning and carry on after my Dad died very suddenly, and they restore my faith in humanity and our future. That is no small feat for a music group (I am a registered nurse, and a very practical, responsible person - I don’t fall for musicians or “stars” 🙈🤷♂️…other than BTS). They are the most decent and kindest people, they work harder than I thought possible, their commitment is absolute, they are incredibly talented yet still push themselves to further develop their talents, and they are so charitable and giving. And they remain so grounded, so genuine, and so humble.

I'm watching this after binging through all of your seventeen videos and I'll just say that you are really going to love them as much as seventeen. BTS and SVT are my two ult groups and both groups are just so talented
Also, because of the fact that they were so looked down on in the beginning, they created their own shows. And the majority of content in kpop that you see now is actually inspired by BTS because of how they used youtube and social media as their platforms. That includes variety shows and weverse/vlive. BTS was the start of all of the international promotions that you see in kpop today.

I hope you have fun diving into the content and music of BTS. Jimin did the high note at the end there btw. Also regarding their company: They have always had a very close bond with most of the the staff and make it very clear they see their success as a result of the company staff, members and army. I understand that many labels have a bad reputation regarding the care and protection of their idols but i wouldn't project that on Big Hit labels. Not that they are perfect (no company is) but the members have thanked all those who worked with them during concerts and it is clear they are appreciated.
yes, Jk was 15 when he joined (in Korean age, so only 13 in international age), and so he was a minor when they debuted (15 international age) I haven’t seen them doing anything in those days I would consider inappropriate or too mature for them as minors. Jimin is my bias, he is the reason I discovered BTS after hearing Dynamite on the radio. His voice is so unique and colourful and I just adore him, he is the sweetest person. Also it was him singing the high note when you asked lol That was the song 2! 3!
If you didn't know that all BTS' English songs are mostly pops and because of this horrible pandemic, they wanted boost up positive, lively and energetic vibes in their songs purposely to lift up people's feelings. When they started they didn't have goals to going into western countries or Billboard. They just wanted be true to themselves spreading good music and tell their stories thru music. They have over 300 songs in all different genres of music and won way over 700 awards (getting close to 800 as of 7/22).

BTS. They're really the sweetest artist to a fan ever. Like you almost feel like they are your brothers and bestfriends that you can easily call when you need an advice and sometimes we realize that, Wow they're really popular. Oh! Great comment about not comparing BTS to other groups, bands, etc. I agree that isn't appropriate. Around 22 minutes, "Wait, RM has dimples?!" lol Too cute. Yes, he does, and he even wrote a song about it which only the vocal line sings. You should check out the Live of Dimple and Pied Piper, with English Subtitles. You may have your biases wrecked a few more times though. lol Around 24:30, I think Jung Kook just meant that he likes doing concerts more than performing on TV shows/broadcasts (e.g., Jimmy Fallon), because it is the audience that really moves them. I think you'd like House of Cards - more of an R&B feel and JK (as well as the other 3 vocalists) slay it.
I remember discovering K-Pop back in 2016 when I saw the MV for BTS’ Dope, EXO’s Monster & I Got A Boy by Girls Generation and the rest is history. Now I’m a certified K-Pop Multi-Stan

V is my ultimate kpop bias an amazing baritone legend , a dancer , an actor , a producer , a songwriter , a composer , a photographer , a model , a director ( for music videos and visuals ) ...etc , he's so smart and has his own style in everything wether if it's singing or dancing or even his fashion sense is different . He became from the company's hidden weapon to one of the most respected and idolized idols in the history of kpop and the visual representative of the industry . I'm so proud of him 💜
