    It is displaying Arc hn 3.16c no PA
    I have just checked this and tried connecting one more time and this time it has connected and is working! Perhaps having both powerbase and controller powered off for a period has cleared something. I hadn’t changed any settings. Anyway, it’s now working so many thanks once again. Johnny

    thanks so much for creating this video. Dad and I love our digital arc pro scalextric track. This might be worth upgrading too down the line

    Excellent video Greg! If I only had Arc and Slot it! Once ARC catches up to the C7042, then maybe a switch will be made.
    Awesome work as usual!

      I'm not sure it will ever "catch up" in the way most hard core hobbyists hope. It was never designed to do what the APB does when connected to a computer. If anything, a new base in a few years might do that... or do less. :\ But, this video shows at least one thing the APB can't do. :)

    Does the slot.it app let you view anything related to the telemetry data and or show the current throttle curve ?

    Hi Greg, great video, it is very informative. I have ARC pro. Using the SCP3 can I control the power and brake levels without using the Scalextric App.

    • @ggaub
      @ggaub 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scalextric Digital does not have adjustable brakes, so the answer is, technically, no. That said, slot.it also offer a car chip that can have Scalextric Digital firmware that can have the brakes adjusted via their app. While there would be no way to adjust it "on the fly" it would still enable you to set up a car to have its own optimum brake setting stored in the chip.
      While the SCP3 has a brake adjustment knob, it is there for systems that support it, such as analog cars, or the oXigen digital system.
      All of the other settings on the controller would allow you to adjust the power curve to make cars of all kinds easier to drive. Take a look at my Slot.it SCP Controller Basics video to see what kinds of adjustments you'd have access to (everything but brakes).

    Great video Greg - thanks so much! I followed your instructions which worked pretty much just as you described all the way through to trying to connect to the ArcPro power base itself. Having installed the correct firmware and started following the instructions to connect to the Arc Pro and at this point things have not gone well! Despite the light flashing on the Arc Pro powerbase and turning on the SCP3 controller with the trigger pressed down the controller will not connect to the powerbase. Do you have any experience of this and any further wisdom you can share. Thanks Johnny

      What firmware does the controller display when you first turn it on?

    • @user-johnnymarshall

      PS I just tried changing the arc pro powerbase channel to which the SCP3 was connected and I experienced the same problem as before in not being able to connect it. It remains connected to the original channel so I will just stick with that and revisit if I purchase any additional SCP3 controllers!

    Hi Greg..just linked scp3 to air pro DIGITAL...Works fine with digital cars..but the analog does NOT work i.e. moving the little switch on air pro to analog and then trying to drive analog car..i noted that scp3 does appear to bind ..steady lights..just no power to car....am i missing something obvious..please advise..Tim

      and you're trying the car in both lanes? I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. The ARC Pro doesn't know it's a different controller. If you turn off the SCP3, and re-pair an ARC controller, does it work as expected?

    Hi Greg, I just got an SCP3 and it won’t register. It sees the device but gives an error message saying registration to server failed

    • @ScalextricDigital
      @ScalextricDigital  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if the controller scrolls the "register" message as opposed to firmware version, then you might need to install the latest oXigen/Analog firmware using the Emergency DFU mode. I made a video about that on my other channel. If it scrolls the firmware version, then maybe you got it second hand, and it needs to be un-registered and connected to your account, which only slot.it can do. email is a good way to communicat with me. ggaub at ggaub dot com

      It is! I got them through the slot.it shop on shapeways.

    Nice👍, arc pro better rhat pb 7042?, my pb 7042 have a big probleme🤔I start a f1 race (10 laps) ... And the race stop immediately after 3second😜🤔

    • @ggaub
      @ggaub 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are using your 7042 with the LCD display tower it came with, and not with a computer, then the ARC Pro is definitely better. I'm not sure why your race is ending so soon, but it might be worth resetting the base to default settings, which I believe is in the system options.

    • @ggaub
      @ggaub 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure. You won't get what you originally paid, but there's always someone out there willing to buy that stuff. The APB is still a great power base that a lot of people still choose instead of the ARC.
