Thanks Nick someone just sent me this video It’s just the cycle of 5ths mate The next chord after the A if I would have continued the phrase would have been….. D
@@501chorusecho thanks for comment and the inspiration … and all you do Tom! I’d never have thought to play major 7th chords round the cycle of 5ths in that context. Totally took me by surprise. Super cool. Merry Christmas bro! Enjoy
@@BigEdWo it’s stunning isn’t it. The phrasing, tone, ideas the whole lot just brilliant. I only showed one phrase but I’m hoping people will check out the whole video
Love the shirt Nick. Great playing as always ❤ would also love to hear some soloing approaches for this progression and whole tone scale approaches in general?

This might be the best thing Tom has ever posted.

Cheers Nick...and Buk..
@@eddyblommaert5676 thanks for watching mate!
Love this - Tom is magical. Always reminds me that "Tone is in the fingers". The Bitter End video is also addictive.
@@SimonCustomGuitars thanks! Agree
This will surely keep me out of trouble for a while..thank you Nick ✅
You and me both! Thanks for watching
Thanks, Nick. Uncle Larry is a very musical player indeed.

Thanks, good idea. I’ll discuss that sometime soon
Reminds me of something from Steely Dan.
@@michaelbaldwin6543 yeah I thought so too!
I love his playng, too. He can play a lot faster than he usually chooses to - he chooses elegance over 'guitar as competitive sport'.
@@rsmallfield that’s it man, he plays music not sport. It’s tasteful. And that’s why he gets the gigs. Larry sure has chops too when needed.
Sounds like a Landau progression
I hear more Stella Dan in it, but I’m guessing it could be something landau might have done. Love his playing, ML is a massive influence
