But Yup! AB on E9 steel.... I think this cemented that my next video is going to be to play these phrases/licks on the guitar and then play then on the steel to show how the guitar phrases (usually) came from the steel and i'm sure vice-versa... you have finally motivate me to do that one!
Jason, you put out such great material, you inspire people to pick up their guitar. Even people who haven't started their journey but want to, and they see your videos, I'm certain it makes them want to start learning . Thank you for such great videos!❤
You might say this and probably do... :-) "Super imposing the sub-dominant" or "Suspending the chord" 6... half dozen... depending on your point of view. 🙂
100% disagree. Jason is trying to teach us to view each starting position as one of the triad's inversions. From there, identify the 1,3,&5 in that inversion. From there, identify where the coloring tones are - the 2nd, 6th, and flatted 7th. Eventually the minor 3rd and flatted 5th become easy to see. You learn to HEAR what each tone adds to the lick. He's teaching us WHY we put our fingers in each position, not just where to put them. Much easier to learn (& remember!) the licks when you understand HOW they are constructed. You are a much better guitarist with that skill.

What a great lesson, man. Explaining the licks with the caged shapes is so much more interesting than most lessons.
Sounds great! ^^
Took the course a few months ago and have made money with these licks since!
Love hearing that
I've been a guitar teacher for many years. I really like your teaching style. Good stuff!

love how clean everything you play sounds. just great country guitar. thanks Jason.
Great stuff! Learned these by ear at the gym
Going home to grab a guitar and play them. Thank you!
Light bulb moment for an old rocker. Slide in that country note, position, etc. Thanks so much!
There is a lot talking, but when I finally settled down and focused more on theory my playing got a lot better
This is proper information and I thank you for it.
It is lessons like this that prove why you are the best teacher out there.
Wow thanks
Inspiring

Great lesson and sound. What guitar and pickups are using?
Great stuff as always, Jason! Yet another reminder how beneficial it is to know the triads over, under, and sideways down!
Thanks!
Great licks. Great breakdown. Thanks to you, I think ive finally begun to "get" the musicality as opposed to just getting the mechanics.
I've got a doubt, what sort of gage must the strings be?..to allow those bendings...
10-46
Do I want to continue down that path? Like...let me think abou...OK! On it!
Sounds great, is it pronounced 'lufflin'? I live in loughborough (pronounced lufbura)
Pronounced “lock-lin”. Originally spelled Lochlainn
Good sound..too much talkin..
I recommend more listening on your part
