  • Hollywood blockbuster Gone Girl was edited entirely in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. The workflow used by David Fincher and his post-production team offers insights into the evolution of filmmaking today. Working interactively, with editorial and visual effects tightly linked, the team was able to shape the 6K source footage into a cinematic masterpiece. Hear how they did it. I love when Kirk says something like 'it would be such a gift to see the film for the first time'. I think every editor feels that way.

    I'm a subscriber of the photography bundle but I wish Adobe had a subscription for photo-videographer with photoshop, lightroom premiere and after effects. I would definitely upgrade!

    I wish I had Adobe Premier and After Effects for the student film im working on, but unfortunately I can not afford any of it, and even then, my computers to slow :/ Ive used the trial version of Adobe Premier and absolutely loved it! Im using FCPX on a Mac computer at school, but still, I wish I could edit at home. Maybe one day.

    I'm still at work so I haven't had a chance to watch this yet. Why would anyone to choose a movie that isn't a VFX blockbuster (like say, Transformers) in 6K?

    I am using Premiere Pro to edit my first student film and I like it very much. So would you say that that distinctive David Fincher look is achieved in Post Production using Premiere Pro? It sure seems so. Love the product.

    What pc do you need to edit 6K film in Pr?

    • @mathmason
      @mathmason 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EnaMikroSfugaraki probably at least an hpz800-level workstation, probably with an nvidia quadro graphics card, at least 16gb ram and I'm guessing a bunch of ssd's and raid drives for the storage media.

    • @ellieaine1496
      @ellieaine1496 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Final Cuts awful, we use that in college at the moment. It's designed in a Pro consumer kind of way rather than for the actual film. Especially if its Pro X which we use.
