In 69 my mother got her first car. 65 Fairlane 500 purchased from my uncle. Dark turquoise exterior. Light turquoise interior 2 door post. LOVED it. as a little kid i would stand on the bench seat, yanking the wheel left and right playing taxi driver.I was Joe and every customer was Joe. A few years ago i was at a garage sale and lucked into the rear tail light lens.Attached it to the wooden frame of a basement window and it glows red in the daylight.....smile every time i see it. Could i please see the other 65 Fairlanes. they are so rare and i almost jumped with joy when i came across this video. Huge thank You

My parents bought a new 1965 Sports Coupe, and all the kids on the block thought they were the coolest parents because they had the only car on the block with bucket seats and a console. Lo and behold, now you're lucky if you can find a car today without them. I might add, it's also the car I learned how to drive with. Great car and great memories.

My parents nearly bought one of the Sport Coupes new in 1965. It was a deep forest green metalic. The ended up opting to order a full size Galaxies 500 in vintage burgundy with black interior.
They wanted as much interior room as possible for a family of 5.
The bucket seats killed the deal on the Sports Coupe, and the Galaxie hand bench seats. Loved that car.

Do not see a pair of 1965 Fairlane 500's. Great condition and seldom seen. Yes, the sport does have the bigger brother (Galaxy)console bucket seats look. Nice! Thanks,

These would probably been more popular if the Mustang hadn't been introduced same year..Very cool cars !

I have a 65 sports coupe. It's all original minus the dog dish hub caps. Definitely not as nice as these cars but it is registered and insured. I haven't driven it in 2 years so it needs some tlc to make it a daily driver. Nothing that can't be done in a weekend.

Sorry, I never cared for the 1965 Fairlane. It seems like an orphan to me. My parents first new car was a 1966 Fairlane and those I loved.
