    You stated that both countries require us to pass the country-specific exam. Is it also compulsory for province-based specialist pathways? I thought we could apply for a fellowship based on residency training in our home country. This is a significant setback if so.

      Dr. Junayd, i responded to your comment on my other channel which is exclusive for IMGs. See my response to province based specialist pathway www.youtube.com/@IMGSecrets
      Yes you apply for fellowship based on your training from your home country

    I have a bachelor's degree in anesthesia techniques and I want to know how much is the salary in Washington, California, New York or Australia? And which is better to work and live in such a job? 🤔

    Thank you Dr. Iyar your videos about alternate pathway programs are really informative and helpful. I want to ask should I start my USMLE journey first before applying for alternate pathway programs? Additiotionally is OET a mandatory requirement to get ECFMG certificate

    • @AnesthesiaGuru
      @AnesthesiaGuru  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glad you found this helpful. The alternate entry path program does require you to be ECFMG certified. Even if you try to apply before USMLE the response you will get it is to complete it first. You are better off completing the USMLE and obtain ECFMG certification first or at least get the process close to be done.
      Yes the OET is a mandatory requirement. USMLE Step 2 CS does not exist anymore.

      also I want to ask if I am applying through alternate entry path program do I need to do any observerships to gain US work experience and meeting program directors directly is important to secure a position at some ACGME accredited program?

    • @AnesthesiaGuru
      @AnesthesiaGuru  ปีที่แล้ว

      The alternate entry path program assumes you have many accomplishments on your CV and is based on your country of your specialist training. In general, stronger the CV less things you need to do in the US prior to applying. Yes, if your training is from a low-middle income country and your CV is not competitive then these things help. Moreover, the alternate entry path application moves through the Department HOD/Chair/Chief.

    I did MBBS in 2017 and after that I have 2.5 years experience in Radiology now looking for any residency or fellowship program in Radiology in usa or canada.

    • @AnesthesiaGuru
      @AnesthesiaGuru  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dr. Mohit, have you done residency in Radiology. If not, you are not eligible for fellowship. You could certainly apply for match in Canada or USA after satisfying the requirements.

      Here is the video on the alternate pathway in Canada th-cam.com/video/60qxQBVNF4s/w-d-xo.html
