I want to thank you for replying to my email today. I am totally impressed with your design of this large-format camera. Just watching this video shows how easy it would be using this camera. Since I already have one 3d printed 4x5 and it was not very hard to put together, I plan on downloading your kit this week. Hopefully, at our Jan2020 club meeting, I can present this to the membership to see what interest I can get to have them join me purchasing kit. To me in working with the download is no different than modifying my 3d printers since I am technically and mechanically inclined. Plus if parts are needed it will be a local purchase and not an overseas one.
Hi Drew, I found your website looking for information about diy view camera (always wanted to build one). May I ask you why you didn't choose "commercial ready" knobs? I wonder if they would help to keep costs and timings a little lower. Thank you for contributing to keep film alive.
Hey Andrea - 3D printing the knobs in-house actually ends up being quicker and cheaper than commercially available options. Not to mention we can make fixes and design changes as needed. Also, many of the commercially available options for the sizes and needs we have are pretty low quality or ugly. If you have any other questions let me know!

Your website says there is lead time of 2-4 weeks . Is this for both kit and assembled? Has lead time changed?
Yes - the lead time is for both the Kit and the Assembled cameras. In most cases we get orders out in 1 week, but we advertise 2 to 4 to be safe!
