  • I purchased this machine from my local hardware store. It did a great job vacuuming and mulching the leaves that had collected on my porch steps and garden paths. Fast forward to the 5:17 mark if you don't want to watch me assemble the thing in real time!
    The same blower/vacuum/mulcher is available from Amazon here: amzn.to/2LNO9V0
    Thanks for watching. More cooking videos coming soon, I promise!

    🍃 Kevin I have been in your shoes...as I watched this older video of yours I began to laugh until tears came in my eyes...being a widow and living alone, I have tried many times to put equipment together...believe me...we have walked the same path...lesson learn for me...NEVER GIVE UP ! 😅

    Thought about getting just this and decided against it mainly because it looked laboriously slow in actually picking up large quantities of leaves. I invested in a really good blower, and a lawn sweeper. I can blow most of the leaves into a pile, and bag them. I then go over what’s left with my lawn sweeper, and dump those into the same lawn bag. I can then blow off whatever small bits remain. It is not perfect, but with two people working, it took about thirty minutes to get 3/4 of the leaves from a large maple done.

    I purchased one of these( BEBL7000) fall 2019) and it is a fantastic thing to have especially as a vac (the blower is good but doesn't move as many leaves as a gas blower). The bag holds surprisingly a good amount of leaves.Mine has a slightly larger bag (a shoulder strap for each shoulder; easy to empty).It works fine on damp leaves but do not use on soaking wet leaves).The trees on my property are maple and oak. For these past three seasons I've used it every three days or so and have never had a problem! I can't say enough good things about it but I haven't seen it on Lowe's shelves this year 2021 (where I bought it in 2019 on sale for $67.)

    Thanks for the video. Had a Worxs Vacuum but the bag kept getting in the way and had less capacity than I wanted. Bought the B&D with a back pack bag. I had trouble assembling it too. I had to put the tubes together with a rubber mallet and getting the fan cover off was difficult too. You can be sure that once put together it's NOT COMING APART!

    The leaves accumulate around my front entryway and on the step by my front door. I purchased a WorkX brand mulcher/blower/vac two years ago on clearance sale. It was one of my best impulse purchases ever! I was totally surprised and blown away (not literally) at how good it works. Instead of multiple large bags of leaves to deal with, I only had one trash can full. I'm going to create several raised garden beds this spring and start filling them with all the composted leaves. I can't wait for spring to arrive! Kevin, you will love it!

    Oh, my goodness! First, i love that the plug is inside the house so the cord had to be draped through a window. I have that EXACT situation here, only my house was built 15 years ago (so they should have put a plug out front!). On your house? Charming. On my house? Not so much!
    Second, your property is so expansive that i'm not sure this contraption is going to be a friend to you in the long run. I think both you and the machine are going to tucker out long before you get your desired results. But i may be proved wrong!
    I do know i have to purchase a new Black and Decker cordless weed wacker every single year. I just work them too hard to last.
    Thanks for another great video!

    How do you adjust the shoulder strap that goes on the vac? Can it be? The unit is somewhat heavy and poorly balanced - a back-breaker. The shoulder strap on the vac is for someone who is 6' 6".

  • @JamesPollMaine59
    @JamesPollMaine59 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    With the amount of trees and leafs, I think you would have cleaner and better results by just blowing the debris out to the lawn. Vacuuming up small amounts is not going to make much of a dent in your fall cleanup. I think you’ll get tired of constantly emptying the bag or having to deal with long electrical cords. I have a cordless blower that I love. There is nothing like the freedom of not having a cord.
