Thank you so much IMSA for uploading these. I paid for Discover Velocity (in Canada) to watch the race but the NBC coverage they were showing was abysmal. It was like a talk show. They did more interviews than what they showed for on track racing. Plus commercials every 10 minutes. IMSA Radio coverage rocks with way better commentators and pit lane reporters. THANK YOU!
NBC sports is an oxymoron. What a bunch of sell outs. I like me this kinda stuff because I know more about ben keating’s driving than ben keating. Seems fast from these pictures, but is he a nice guy?
@@lotusamg6997, well, yes and no. Yes, Ford didn't just pull out of GTLM spontaneously, but the C7Rs were becoming increasingly less competitive since 2018, and everyone knew a C8R was right around the corner. To say that Ford didn't weigh that in consideration is simply inaccurate.
cheers IMSA! thanks for showing the way by, working with radio le mans and by uploading these! very much appreciated from a fan in Belgium, going back to the grand am and ALMS days!
Thank you so much IMSA Official for posting this in your usual timely manner. There are a lot of motor racing series around the world who could learn from how well you guys treat your fans. One thing I will say about the racing is that this part shows that at least until the Corvette's get up to speed (remember at every track they'll be just about starting from scratch because their old car settings would be next to useless with the new car, so expecting them to win straight up might be wishful thinking), when it comes to the shorter sprint races, in GTLM the Porsche's will still be the cars to beat.
Love IMSA!!! The focus on fan involvement and providing great racing thats watchable in person and on screen. Seeing all those people watching in the Pensky garage. That's how you keep fans interested. Great Job IMSA. Now bring Phillipe Massa to race.
My first 24 hour race too! Although I was only able to see the first 8 hours because I had to get back to hotel to pack and catch plane back to reality.
There is another race going on this weekend if you want to watch some more racing, the 12 hours of Bathurst will be live on the "GTWorld" TH-cam channel.
After watching Kamui in WEC and his few appearances in IMSA, I've consistently been astonished at his magic behind the wheel, and always classy, humble interviews. He easily pulls off moves that would make anyone else wreck. He sometimes looks like a madman with his driving, but he's always in control. I wish we could see more of him in IMSA.
That's exactly their role :-) John is the unbridled passion, and Jeremy (possessed of equal passion, only bridled, I guess) is the calm, sensible guy - "just the facts," sorta. They are the perfect team, along with Shea in the pits - the best pit reporter since the legendary (in the US) Chris Economaki.

Thanks for posting this, IMSA! The new color scheme on the 77 Mazda is somewhat confusing, at least for now; it no longer looks like a sister car to the 55. I'd grown used to spotting the darker Mazdas in and around the white Acuras.
I'm with ya, but racing would not be viable without sponsors, so... the new livery is for the new sponsor. I think the new sponsor made a huge mistake in insisting on the whole new livery. That soul crystal red is so emblematic of the awesomeness of these new Mazdas, I think they should have tried to design the livery around that red instead of re-designing the whole thing. I don't think people will like this new livery, which will reflect poorly on the sponsor, whether or not the 77 wins races.

So far I haven’t found out how often they switch drivers in this race but that shouldn’t be a problem when I watch this race in 2 weeks because I’m supposed to get a scene for one of my TH-cam videos during this year’s Rolex 24 At Daytona and I should watch most of this race anyways because we all know scenes can take more than one try.
Thanks for the coverage but why 720p? If you want to compete with SRO, ILMS et al, please, upload a good 180p 60 fps video. 720 doesn’t do justive to the subject matter.

Wow, you guys really DO NOT PAY ATTENTION!! Kobayashi passed Bourdais about an entire lap before you finally noticed it, around the time #77 was entering the pits..
To me it seems like this race wasn't promoted enough leading up to it, I knew some fans that didn't even realize the race was on.
