You have a bunch of locations, a story type mode, more custom gear, can get off your board. Also they have a ton of settings to make the game more fun. For instance many people said the game is difficult because of the controls. You can make the game much easier for yourself by adjusting certain things which is great for people that are not regular skaters!
Adding all these extra features will ensure that no matter how long the game is out you can still enjoy something new. I have nothing against what they are doing with this game

EA already tried to make Skate 3 into an arcadey game like thps, and Black Box fought them to keep it more realistic. Hardcore Mode in 3 is the result of them fighting EA. Now that Black Box is gone, all future Skate games are gonna be unrealistic AF. Pick yourself up a copy of Skate 2, Session or Skater XL instead. Loved this series so much. EA killed it…

I'm by no means a content creator but have a few hundred hours in each of those two games, and if you click my name I have an edit uploaded of each (all clips using in game reply editor and only put all together with a song and title in post).

I'm honestly unsure if I'll ever even be satisfied with any skate parsing game that doesn't allow me to full customize my physics. definitely my mind is all over the place about it. I mean I've even seen clips where people say they are doing realism in skate 4 and even those seem like you can pop way to high and way to far, they seem like tails are still very magnetic and even when slightly off it will pull you to it. Need to play it myself for a proper evaluation but so far it's just not looking like a game I'd enjoy, seems just a bit too arcadey to me and they seem to be showing off/advertising all that arcadey stuff way more then realism so it comes off as their goal.

My concern is that the game is literally called Skate, and their immediate focus, time and energy is clearly going into acrobatics and front flips?! Yeah, I saw the power slides, they’re clean. I could give a shit about doing a 540 cannonball, give me beautifully detailed maps and solid physics, only thing my character needs to do off the board is walk. Bruh they literally are skateboarding tho, being able to swing on pipes and do parkour doesn't somehow magically take away from the core skateboarding gameplay, it just adds something new to do.
