  • A great tip if you are on inhaler treatment for a lung condition is to take your inhalers with you to medical consultations. You can then show your Dr. or nurse how you would actually use it and get feedback on how to optimize your technique. Good inhaler technique is essential to getting the most benefit from these treatments.
BONUS I show you how to use some of the more common inhaler types. There are two main types of inhalers: MDI (metered dose inhalers) which release a plume of droplets to inhale, and DPI (dry powder inhalers) which contain a powder that you need inhale forcefully from the inhaler. For MDI inhalers you need to inhale slowly and deeply. For DPI inhalers you inhale forcefully and deeply.
Each inhaler then has some design features and steps to administering the dose correctly.
Don't forget to always rinse your mouth, gargle and spit after taking your inhalers to reduce the risk of side effects such as a hoarse voice.
    Hope you find this helpful.
