Very well done conversion, and well done video! I drive a Delica L400 here in the States, and yours is quite a step up luxury!
Thank you Tom, I’m a fan of the L400 as well 👍
Just doing some research about Delicia D5 conversion and found your video. I think you have done an incredible job with your car. Very good and entertaining video. THX
Thank you for your kind words. Good luck with your build. Happy to answer any questions you may have during your conversion.
Well nice to see a fellow D5 owner and in places I go for photography 😊
Nice to know there is another D5 owner out there in the UK as I haven't see another on the road since I bought it. 👍
@@howslands only had mine a few week still sorting things out, I do astro landscape in the area near where you filmed your vlog, recognised it a mile away. 😉
Great place for astro!
Super Cool ...Amazing conversion ...well thought out ...Looks fantastic 👍👍
Thank You Mark 👍👍
I’ve got to admit that uri is a carpenter I wish I was but with having one to many bike mishaps I’ve got at times a horrendous both hands tremor but I can look on the bright side I could always change long wheelbase transit into a mobile chippie
Nice one Nelson. We’re all good at something 👍
I have one too but in white. :) love the stealthiness!
Nice, it would be very stealthy in snow Jana
@@howslands yeah no chance of that here in Australia 🤭😆
Brilliant! I have a 2007 Delica D5 myself. Some really excellent ideas.
Thank you 👍. The only downside I can think of, if you convert your D5 like I did, which I didn't mention, is that it becomes a 2 seater of course.
Great video, and great setup.
Thank You Michael 👍
Great video buddy 👍
Thanks Chris 👍
love it!! i had one myself but only 2wd..
That fit out looks pricey. Ive got the exact same van over here in Australia, and I'd love that rear fit out.. Well done, and thanks for the scenery footage as well..
The made to measure Walnut wood and the solar panel were the most expensive so, it did go a little over budget.
You made a fantastic job of that
Thank you so much 😀
@@howslands what wattage is the ceramic heater have you used it yet in the cold weather
Yes, I've used it - covered in my latest video. it's a 140 watt infra red heater. @@lweleven3423
Hey great setup! Can you explain how you removed the seat anchors on the floor for the middle row? They’re really getting in the way of my design. Thanks!
Hi, can't remember having any specific problem with them. I recall I had a socket spanner on a ratchet wrench to remove the big bolts that anchor it to the floor. Let me know the specific problem that you're having and I'll see if I can remember.
Hello there,
New subscriber here!! Nice and to the point videos good Sir!
I'm interested in this car too, but I'm bit conservative with insurance etc.
Could you please make a video covering the costs of running a car like this in the UK?
Certainly, I will do a segment on it in a future video.
What a great conversion!! Thought of everything!! How do you find the insurance and running costs?
Thank you. A few people have asked me this and so my next video will cover this and some more insights into the gadgets I have inside.
Nice one! Just a quick question, what year model is your van?
It's a 2008 Delica D5 2.4 Auto Roadest Roar Complete 4WD
@@howslands thanks for the reply. ☺️
From the back of the front seats to the rear door how long is it?
It's 81 inches from the glass on the rear door to the passenger seat
what's the make of the panel heater and would you recomend? thanks
It's an infra red heater and I bought from a company called "Warm For Less" online. If your van is reasonably insulated and no bigger than the Delica then yes it will keep you warm in temperatures above about 3 or 4 degrees. See th-cam.com/video/nMXQBgI81Hc/w-d-xo.html if you haven't already see it.
@@howslands thanks! About to buy a 2008 delica and do a similar build thanks for heads up
@@AnotherBoring43yearold Great choice, good luck with the build. Let me know how you get on.
1:13 so this is a Mitsa-boo-shee Delica D5 😅😂😂
Nice vid & build BTW
😎✊❗️🚐💯🔝🦾❗️😳👍👍👍 у меня тоже D❤️🔥5 😉 родстар 💯👍❗️🤝😎
How much does that car cost?
Depends where you are in the World I think. In the UK it cost £10k for a 2008 imported D5 2 years ago and I've probably spent 7k on the conversion, biggest cost being the power station and the solar panel.
