    Watched this one again and wanted to say I bought one after this video. I use it as a purse and it's fantastic. Thank, Joe!

      +Lellobeetle I use this bag 95% of the time when I hit the woods. Whether it be for an overnighter, day hike, putzing, or whatever, it is almost always with me. Thanks!!

    When I go out and about with only a haversack I usually take my full size Hidden Woodsman haversack. However I used this one a lot in hunting season. And I grew to like it almost more than the full size model.
    It is also the perfect compliment to a daypack or a rucksack. You are right about it being nearly indispensable though. And I couldn't agree more about wanting to give my business to a small American company. Malcolm does great work and has my business for as long as he wants it.

    I have both this bag and his haversack. I usually carry the haversack and let my 9 yo carry this one. Its also a great smaller size bag for when you don't need the full size haversack.

    Having to adapt to some injuries, I watched many videos. Your review of this French Trade Bag, has me once again choosing one of Malcolm's creations. Hands down, you have done justice to his doing justice to his craft, and clients. Thank you for such articulation ! I now subscribe .

    Anything that helps getting more dirt time and you can trust is worth the expense.Plus helping out a small business even better.I usually carry my gear in a thin dry bag inside my backpack as added security against the English weather,just something to consider when carrying expensive equipment.Cheers Demus1.

    • @feralwoodcraft
      @feralwoodcraft  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Demus75 That is definitely a good idea. I recently received a full pack from Malcolm and a dry bag will most likely be included in my final setup of it. Thanks for watching!

    Great gear for a great bag.
    Nice Bush-Murse (man purse) lol ... That's what the wife likes to call it, when I go out to bushwalking.
    Cheers ;-) Not many bags can hold up to your wet experience and this bag.

      I am totally sold on this bag for obvious reasons lol. Call it a Murse or Purse...whatever, I'll take it. It is bomb proof :) Thanks Kanzee!

    Great over view. I have two haversacks/bags and both were picked up very cheaply ( no name brands) and are water repellant canvas material. A haversack/bag in general is a great item, just yours was well worth the money you saved on keeping your gear dry. Have a great week.

    Absolutely love this video, kudos! I have several pouches from Malcolm, he makes amazing kit. I will order either a haversack or the French Bag next. Could you please tell me why you chose the French Trade Bag? Thanks in advance.

      Out and About West Malcolm makes absolute bomb proof gear! I actually own both his regular haversack and the FTB and love and use them both all the time. Thanks again!

    looks like a nice pack...I have a few hidden woodsmen products...I think what you have in the pack fo this video is "kinda" weird to me...It is without thought in my opinion. One example: why a hatchet? nothing in that bag would require the use of a bulky hatchet. A folding saw should suffice....then no tarp or cover? no water or coffee? You have enough in that bag to get you to a point before scratching your head and saying to yourself....I should have brought this or that and why did I bring this...bottom line the bag was packed without thought....to me in discredits the video...
    Sorry...I am saying this hoping for another video packed for a purpose...could be business, could be stuck overnight unexpectedly.
