Well into SRV territory too! I have an Ibanez (80's) SD9 and prefer it to a TS9 (tube screamer). I find I can get the TS sound by backing off the distortion/drive and the tone on the SD9 anyway... awesome pedal, an all time classic, a keeper!
Hi! I own the SD-9, but I want to know when it was made. I tried to find an e-mail to Maxon but probably I'm blind, because I can't see it on their website. Could you write me down the e-mail or help me with finding out the production year? Greetings from Poland! Sorry for mistakes if there are any, I'm still learning English :(
grzesiekcze - Is it an original SD-9 from the 80's, or a Maxon reissue unit from Y2K's? If it is a reissue unit, then the first 2 digits of the S/N are the year of manufacture. Example - "02xxxxxx" means it was assembled/sold in 2002 Let me know if you have further questions....
Hey, thanks for your answer! I really don't know if it's from the 80s or the reissue, I want to find out! Next to "Made in Japan" words, there are 6 numbers in circle, the serial number I suppose, which is 290212.
Nice! Be sure to check out the TWA SH9 when you can. We teamed up with Mr. Tamura (Tube Screamer/Sonic Distortion inventor) and Scott Henderson to further tune the circuit so you can get killer tones at any point on the controls. Check out our Video Comparisons on our channel and let us know what you think. :-)
Looking around forums and it's the same circuit as the TS-9? Would be nice to mention that. Even though it may sound different because dif components brand.
It's an AD9 *Pro* !! Get it right, Mr. Noy, especially when you're talking about the best small-footprint analog delay ever made. Great tones. Don't really do the wah-filtery thing but the rest sounded ace
Nothing strange or trolling about my post. Just a general comment about that particular guitar tone and pedal. I said nothing about Oz, his playing or his abilities. Your comments and attacks are unwarranted.
“Oz noise , don’t care for him or his tone” 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ sure buddy, keep enlightening us with your comments , or post a video of your playing to see who cares for it

Nope. That’s the Maxon OD9
Proof that forums aren't even worth using as toilet paper.
They're full of gobsh¡+es talking a load of utter boIIocks.
I have used this pedal for a door stop for years... but a Klon would be better in a higher wind.
I mean... the 9-series are QUITE well built. :-)
Ozzy Oznoy 🤘🏻
Noy Noy Noy!
