I really enjoy this taming method. Moro, you did a bang up job with this premium mod! A bit of a Heads Up: Currently I can't tame the Adult Livyatan after it eats the Tuso (yes, even after updating mod) BUTT it turns out the tuso it spawns in is also tameable itself... which always spawns as a 210 (Max LvL 180). I can imagine this not really being intended 😅

I am going to question this. As words that are vague and not associated with a singular name cannot be copyrighted. And the word leviathan pre-dates copyright claims.

Scientific standards doesn't allow repeating names or changing names for the species aside from the most dire circumstances, so scientists couldn't do anything about it.
Buffing the Alpha was the worst thing Moro could've down. There's no possible way to approach it with it spawning half of the ocean and doing 17,000 or so damage every hit.
I bought the Livy and literally cried. This thing is HUGE! I’m in The Center and got chased off Manta island by 3 Rexes in the very beginning. So now I’m on a small crescent shaped island. There’s a Livy and it’s baby hanging out very close between me and Skull Island, and my game spawned ANOTHER one on the continental shelf to the side of Manta island. I did not realize it had a ranged attack as I was on a Pterry, and fell to my death 😭 I was fairly high up too scoping it out with my spy glass. Had to turn off the mod before I had an anxiety attack. This thing is intimidating!!

The only clip I had seen from another player was it being aggressive in the water so I thought “Imma just fly over and see what it looks like”. Proceeds to fall off flyer, dies, and weeps. I’m so glad I was basically over the shoreline when it happened! Plus my flyer had landed on the beach.
Should add some type of fear roar to the wild one during the taming process like a button on the console that communicates with it causing it to fear roar thing’s hopefully away from you I think that’d be a pretty cool way to work around the nonsense of the ocean
This is a very unique addition to Ark, though I do question its role in the game. As it is very slow, and slow attacking so its overall usefulness is tbd. lastly I can't see it being a tribute farmer due to its incredibly slow speed, I would rather use the Tuso because of its battle ready status.
There is an atrocious latency for the reflex minigame on controller atm it needs to be fixed asap 😬 Other than that the mod is insane and the fact we finally get a reason to create an underwater army is enough to sell it to me 👌 Take my 5€ Moro 🗿

I've not tested it those two for a while but I have heard they've been substantially nerfed. I recently did some boss testing and I can at least say that Moro Rex isn't as strong as Gigas or Carchas
Ugghhhh premium mods are gonna be the death of my savings, this and Garugas anomolacaries have made me fight demons to not litterally slam my wallet through my monitor
Another silver lining is that I'm not gonna bother checking out the dogshit ones, haha I'm genuinely interested in Garuga and Moro's developments, but any other mod I'm going to take a real long time deciding if I want to spend money on them

FYI, on console at least, Moro's Tylo still has a bug where the underwater volumetric fog becomes denser whilst riding it even with a mask on. So, I wonder if this one has the same issue.
This is amazing i just dont see how it can be tamed that way since the oceans a giant aggressive disaster land it will constantly be off attacking things or being attacked in the process. it is so tempting to pick up tho just for how amazing it looks as a mod and we all know how much the ocean needs tho love.

It's an amazing mod don't get me wrong, but the Livy doesn't really have a proper role in Ark. Especially since there are no underwater boss fights until Gen1 and even then, I'd still use Tusos to do it as they are still better dps and movement creatures.

But what I am taking at is that we see mods of much greater value for free and yet we get mods of much less value being asked for money. Honestly, I see your reasoning. I don't necessarily agree, but I do see it! If it's any consolation, Moro has stated that he enjoys making these mods and really pushing his limits, tech-wise. Livy was supposed to be free at first, but as he experimented and developed it further and added more complicated features, he chose to compensate his time. Which I understand isn't popular with everyone, though I personally think it's quite sweet that it boils down to "he had too much fun and got carried away". For the record I'm absolutely certain there are other Premiums out there that ARE just adding fluff to justify a price tag. I'm not even going to bother looking at those 😂

For the love of all holy. I can't even figure out how to take the device out and practice on ps5. I can never actually get it in front of me. Oddly enough I don't want to try anymore because every time it takes away my ability to sprint on foot or dino for like 24 hours. It doesn't even fix if I reboot
Btw you can only use this in single player or with friends on your own server. My dumbahh bought the whale thinking I could use it on officials. Tbh i dont care enough to make a whole single player just to get a dino no one else gets to see. Should be an oasis type deal. Everyone who has oasis can transfer freely and show it off idc if it "Official"
Garuga is also a person who makes creatures that fit the design of Ark and mix well with the balancing. The Livyatan doesn't really fit in Ark now, or really later either. And since it is a premium mod, it won't get the views or overall likeness of the public.

I'm pretty sure you can add the mod and they can still play on the server, but they won't be able to tame or use it in anyway. At least that is how it is for the Anomolocaris.

Great Mod! But sadly i dislike the regular movement of the Leviathan.. So much that i don't get the mod just for this reason. Somewhat immersive movement is very import to me for the overall gameplay experience. That's why i love the Evo Rex and Giga btw. They move so fantastic. That's why i hate Brontos or Paracers, because their movement pattern is so old and clumsy and unrealistic that they totally break the immersion for me. Sadly, besides all the really great things the leviathan offers, it moves very weird. There is a phenomenal Whale movement pattern in the game, the Basilosaurus. Its great, its my favorite water tame. For that very reason. The leviathan moves like a brick and the fluke moves even faster than the one from Basilosaurus, but it should be slower due to its size. It would be so cool if it would move up and down veeery slow, with a feel of the body streaming through the water. Also, the cosmetic raw.. I know that people are poisoned by Jurassic Park and stuff... But how do you scream underwater? I mean.. you have an animal with a biological sound weapon on its head. That would be a cool "raw". However a raw underwater would actually be dumb, since a whale breathes air and would waste all of it, risking water to flood the lungs. These two points make it too unimmersive to me, which is sad, since he made an awesome mod otherwise.
In my personal opinion the basilo moves awkwardly. It just flops its body inward and outward like a flexible stick. That’s not really how whales move. They don’t flex their body rather they use their tails and don’t bend their body that much. I referenced blue whales and orcas for this. Also ark has limitations to movements. So much so that I have to restrain some things to get more fluid rotation. But everyone has their own opinion. :)
Also the roar doesn’t make sense Ik but this is ark and I wanted a badass roar haha. It would be underwhelming to give it a high pitch screech that whales normally make.
I have a similar take as well, though I am not as strict for how the creature moves but I am strict on its ability to compete in the game. For example, DPS the Livy may have a nice bit of damage per bite, but it bites so slowly that its just frustrating. And then the speed, omg don't get me started on its speed. The thing is a predatory whale meant to hunt ancient squids, like the Tuso that we have in game. But yet the Livy can't catch a Tuso at all. Doesn't make much sense to me, but the main reason why it sucks that its slow is it can't be used for map travel or quick tribute farming. And its size prevents it from being used to get artifacts in the few underwater caves that we have.
@@brokengamer9675and I fully respect ur opinion. And I no matter how hard I try I can’t please everyone sadly. But my aim for the creature was never to be fast and agile. My aim was for it to be big, menacing and have weight. Less orca like more sperm whale like. Spermwhales are more slow but still can battle quite efficiently. And I added other attacks to the whale, not just bite so you don’t get bored with just spam biting. Also, charge ram is a way to catch up with a tuso. Plus on impact u get a big damage amount depending on how much the charge was going for. Above all that I’m adding a config setting to give players the ability to control the size of the Livy if they think it’s too big. And a ton other things I allow people to configure to their liking in the admin remote I made for the mod.

I think that's why a lot of people don't tame the new Dino's because they just want to tame something.They don't want to have to play games to get it.
We need a mod which changes the food chain the ocean. it's so silly to have aggressive creatures attacking something far larger than itself.
the food chain is controlled in ark by something called targeting teams and im not sure if us modders have access to making new targeting teams

Hes mod are not vanilla friendly, but he did added a few tools so you can adjust it yourself.
the whale is balanced for vanilla and has config options in my custom admin remote in the mod that can control how strong it is

They don’t flex their body rather they use their tails and don’t bend their body that much. I referenced blue whales and orcas for this. Also ark has limitations to movements. So much so that I have to restrain some things to get more fluid rotation. But everyone has their own opinion. :)
Also the roar doesn’t make sense Ik but this is ark and I wanted a badass roar haha. It would be underwhelming to give it a high pitch screech that whales normally make.
I have a similar take as well, though I am not as strict for how the creature moves but I am strict on its ability to compete in the game. For example, DPS the Livy may have a nice bit of damage per bite, but it bites so slowly that its just frustrating. And then the speed, omg don't get me started on its speed. The thing is a predatory whale meant to hunt ancient squids, like the Tuso that we have in game. But yet the Livy can't catch a Tuso at all. Doesn't make much sense to me, but the main reason why it sucks that its slow is it can't be used for map travel or quick tribute farming. And its size prevents it from being used to get artifacts in the few underwater caves that we have.
@@brokengamer9675and I fully respect ur opinion. And I no matter how hard I try I can’t please everyone sadly. But my aim for the creature was never to be fast and agile. My aim was for it to be big, menacing and have weight. Less orca like more sperm whale like. Spermwhales are more slow but still can battle quite efficiently. And I added other attacks to the whale, not just bite so you don’t get bored with just spam biting. Also, charge ram is a way to catch up with a tuso. Plus on impact u get a big damage amount depending on how much the charge was going for. Above all that I’m adding a config setting to give players the ability to control the size of the Livy if they think it’s too big. And a ton other things I allow people to configure to their liking in the admin remote I made for the mod.
