It is so amazing seeing all the new mod creators create creatures at Garuga and wildcards level of quality. The animations on this big boi are reeeeeally nice
I like how the armored saddle is a nod to the Tree Sentinel's armored horses. Will be naming mine Tree Sentinel once I can tame one.

Normally I have a pro and con column for these mods. But this is just perfect. I love that you don’t need to force feed it, which doesn’t feel necessary since stims can clear the buffs. This is a creature rarely if ever discussed with balanced numbers; design is gorgeous, the physics scored a 4.0 in college, the abilities are unique and useful, the investment is high and reward much higher, and the saddles are just drool worthy. Hats off to you, Becca, and everyone else who came together to give us this iron-quilled god among herbivores

Aha I love that, that's really cool :D I noticed there were a couple of references, though not all that I understood, such as the Siege saddle being inspired by Elden Ring, and the Barsboldia being referred to as the "Obelisk Sentinel"

I’m so glad there’s so many good one-off creature mods that are all so high quality! On the levels of Garuga and ARK themselves. way better then those mods with like 30 not very good quality Dino’s we had in ASE

Prehistoric beasts is weird-ish either way and shadlos was just not realy making idk the dinos i liked and when i liked them they seemed well not that good, not disregarding the work they still put in their mods.

If anyone notices Barsboldia they probably do because Path of Titans has it as the herbivore equivalent of an Apex carnivore in the game.

This is a lot cooler of an implementation than I was expecting. Although the weight damage buff does seem to be rather low (I guess it's a nice bonus if you want to prioritize making it a cargo tame). The berry buff mechanic mildly reminds me of Valheim's food system. ASA modders are really cooking.
Posted before the siege saddle stuff: it looks really cool and the ability to toggle a display for the cannon's trajectory is SUCH a welcome decision! Overall I would say the siege saddle makes the Barsboldia go from "a nice option" to a "must tame".

Did it actually harvest the cerato?? I saw it made the body vanish but I didn't see meat gain pop up etc. I also thought it looked quite fast! I'd love to see it race a smaller, 'fast' dino to see how quick it actually is. Maybe an Iguanodon or so?
Both saddle models look great; yours is super unique and definitely caught my eye. Overlapping armor plates look great! Giant warhorse aesthetic.

Did you get inspired for the saddle from the Tree Sentinel Knight? The scale maille and patterning really reminds me of it! I love it myself! (But also drawing inspiration from all sorts of sources of course!)
a little tip for trying to trap creatures is that they don't pathfind around platform structures, allowing them to be lured just like in ASE if you bring a raft
for stronger creatures they can potentially break the raft but i dont know if using a motorboat can solve that since they're made of metal

Your saddle designs are absolutely amazing
Things may not be 🔥 up in the UK, but they are in ASA modding! The creatures are getting more and more elaborate and interesting with each month passing by. Honestly, putting WC newest creatures to shame by comparison. I have to be honest, as soon as I saw the video I went straight for it! I came across a lvl20 and then...a lvl150 with 2 babies! I'm not ashamed to say... I cheesed it with my Gigantoraptor instead of trap&cannon 😂. Just amazing job all round you guys, thank you!

This creature category has needed a champion for so long and this was so well done, i hate doing cannon tames tho lol but for this i will have to try im just sad that other creatures abilitys like rock throw with Chalicotherium dont do concussion damage i have wanted them to be usefull for tames like this and rock golems for so long.

i love seeing hadros in any media but still i NEED someone to make a shantungosaurus they are my favorite dinos and are sick as hell, the sheer size man, wild
I think if he did shantungosaurus instead it would make more sense for a hadrosaur of size. And shantungosaurus is the biggest of all hadrosaurs

And don’t forget a mobile cannon can include the cart saddle attachment for bob’s tall tails
Would be cool if the cannon did double damage to creatures that are still in the air from the quake attack. A cool wombo combo so to speak

Been having a issue where certain dinos at random refuse to spawn and if I attempt to use commands to spawn them it says asset not loaded into memory would love to know if anyone found a fix for xbox

The saddle blueprint for these doesn’t show up on my smithy, despite being unlocked. Any tips? I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the mod.
that is _such_ an awesome hadrosaur design. with the model, animations, abillities, saddles (hats off becca) and sound design they got that heavy juggernaut look across sooo well! makes me real happy to see a herbivore be badass like this

Does Barsboldia spawn on the island? I've been scouring all over but i haven't found any sign of it
Ai issues aside the knock up is cool but that knock back needs to be toned down alot that is just rediculous. The amount of torpor it receives from bludgeoning should maybe be adjusted also you killed the first one and the second had only a sliver of HP left. It's Trex sized and way faster than a Trex. Being able to shuffle side to side is really good and the buffs espetially the healing per second is just plain brilliant. Does it have any Harvesting specialties? Will it harvest anything besides plants?
Cant craft a saddle for this guy. Unlocked the engrams but no bueno....

Are mods difficult to add server side and is it easy to adjust ini parameters/configs? The same as in evolved?
Also what are your specs? Your game looks amazing but ive noticed you don't have the splashes on. Does it lag that bad?
Both are easy and the same as Evolved, yes ^^ and tbh I've not touched my settings for a few months now, but back when I did, I found minor things like splashes weren't massively noticeable so I disabled it to squeeze out any extra FPS. As for my specs;

@@DarkEdgeTVSurvival ive got i9-13000k, nvidia 3070, and 96 gigs of ddr5. Ascended ran so bad I had to uninstall it. I hope it gets optimized better soon. I'm stuck on evolved for now. It was playable but having such a high tier system has spoiled me and if I can't play maxed I don't want to play 😢 from your knowledge of my system if I upgrade to a 4070 super would that be enough to play maxed? FYI I'm loving your spotlight videos. Even if I don't play ascended yet 🫵💯⬅️

I'm playing on medium/low overall at 1440p, with only like 2-3 settings set to max. I'm surprised my gameplay apparently looks so pretty but, I'm also very glad 😅

Is the losing like 60% effectiveness on a normal ko a bug thatll be fixed?
It's something that I think occurs with all concussion knockout tames, but I did see Jimmy post this in another server;
"Yeah If you shoot the head from its side, its a tough angle but you can make the cannonball deal damage but it passes straight through and doesnt explode"
i didnt see her using the running bash attack when does she do it?
I don't think I did use it in the end, but it's essentially an abrupt stop and has a similar animation to the regular forward bash

Why do creature votes when mod creators can make amazing creatures like the Nothosaurus, Barsbuldia, eocarcharia etc.
Do is the eocharcha worth it?
Not trying to hate on your ✨creativity✨ there but why not use honey to trap dinos peacefully?

But honestly, great question, I just didn't think about it. I've been having weird experiences with bear traps in ASA compared to ASE, meanwhile I've been using kite-into-gateway methods all the time. But like I said in the video, this is NOT a clean method, feel free to do it your preferred way :D

If you go to cursefordge the command is a blueprint command to spawn the barsboldia and it was spawning them at random lvls tamed even though it had a set lvl to spawn at this command worked to spawn it properly at the lvl i wanted
