In todays video, I get to do a walk-around and a review of my friends 1989 Ford Crown Victoria LTD Wagon on air ride suspension. We're not hiding anything and showing everything! This car is a one of a kind build. This wagon is bagged and sits low on Mustang Mach 1 wheels, flat black paint, air ride suspension and a really cool owner. What I love about this car is how unique it is. Jonah is a busy guy running a TH-cam channel, working as a chef, being a father and a husband and last but not least a record holder of the fastest track time on his Fiat on a track in Pennsylvania. We had a good time filming and talking about his cars and life in general. If you have experience and or love for these panthers, make sure to drop a comment or a brief description of anything to help out the Panther Car Community! Pros, Cons and any helpful tips and tricks. Thanks in advance! Enjoy the Video!

Glad to see another Crown Victoria Wagon fan enjoying his car. I am proud to own two of them being a 1987 bought in June of 1988 with 248,000.0 miles and on its third transmission, and a 1991 LX model that was completely restored in 2020 having owned that one since February of 2001. Both are great cars and both are equipped with rear Air Shocks and trailer hitch's to tow my boats. I also purchased in January of 2022 a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 50th Anniversary Edition sedan in excellent condition with only 67,000.0 miles on it. This Mercury is one of only 250 made with this special exterior trim package in gold anodized with a full cloth carriage roof. I can e- mail photos of all if you provide a e-mail address. Thanks to all for your video.

@@LITTLE1994 Hi Little, I must admit that these cars can be addictive. I really did not need the 1989 Mercury but wanted it. When I bought my 1991 Crown Victoria wagon I was looking for a Grand Marquis sedan but could not find one and settled for another wagon. The fact that the 1991 body was in pristine condition was also a factor. So last year when the Mercury dropped in my lap I was not going to let it pass by. Thanks for your response.

Pretty cool! I just got an '88 version (Country Squire) original baby blue. All windows manual except the rear gate window. It had the idle problem you mentioned but I set the idle with the screw at the throttle body and made a gasket for the idle control valve with little more than a pin hole for air transfer. Pretty much rock solid idle now. The magic tailgate only opened like yours till I got the rear window to open completely and then the back now opens like a truck tailgate. Practically rust free (Arizona car) and should stay that way now being in New Mexico.
    Love what you drive!

The Bug eye dome light housings off the newer Fords, like the 90's Towus also fit if you shave off the locating tabs and just use the screw holes...It will be obvious what you gotta do when you try it.

@cookincars Love the LTD Wagon :) And I'd go for a 5.8/351 Windsor motor for the engine upgrade... it's just a bolt-in using the same 5.0/302 engine mounts!

@@cookincars I love the front end on those 1989/1990 Crown Vicks as well as the 1998 to 2011! Also, have you thought about Vick Cop car bucket seats?? Stupid comfortable and you can build a center console... with Cup Holders 🤣😂😁
Been looking for a Lincoln hearse :) A 1990 or 2003/04'... Just love the Creap Factor when folks see ya driving around... with a Casket in the back!
I got plans to put the 5.8/351 Windsor with a 5 speed in my 2011 Interceptor and build a Street/Strip car... plus a little motor work I can, on a budget, get 400+ HP out of a 351 Windsor motor, that's the 5.0, the old 302 Windsor Big Brother the 351, btw

My family had a 1989 LTD Crown Victoria Police Cruiser (5.0l) with well over 760k on it, My cousin got willed it, we drive the hell out of it some more... then it got stolen....Oh and we used to drive it like we stole it, DAILY, these cars will last forever if you do basic maintenance...Even if you thrash on it.

@@LoveWhatYouDrive it was the first car I took apart and put back together, I also used it to deliver then Oregonian newspaper back in high school, straight piped out the tailpipes, when my grandma passed it was willed to my cousin, I got a 78 Jeep Cherokee and my other cousin got a 1990 Toyota Camry .. we had tons of fun with that crown Vic and it’s even been airborne before, duke boy style… sadly it got stolen for real while my cousin was off in Iraq…we had several panthers after that one though.. I still own one, a PI swapped Town car with a Marty tune… though it’s a work in progress… the fires we had here in Oregon stalled my project but I recently got started back up on it.
