I would swap out the 3.27 rear for a 3.55 trac loc from another Vic, you will enjoy it so much more. 3.27s usually came in Highway cruisers for fuel mileage. I have an 04 Supervisors Vic with 46k original miles on it.

I can’t find myself a signature L.. Where can I get one? A lot of false advertising on marketplace and most times it’s a base signature or an executive L.

Would like to see a video on putting the P 71 cold air intake tube to the stock. Mercury grand Marquis airbox without putting on the police interceptor box to see what happens.

Use the original gasket if it is in good shape. Make sure the plastic top of the filter is taken out of the hole. Sometimes they will stick in the hole. I am getting ready to change the transmission fluid in my 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis L.S. I installed a transmission cooler to keep the oil cooler and get more life out of the transmission. I am also getting ready to install an outside filter to keep the transmission clean.

6 Grand for that car and mileage is an absolute steal! Very good looking ride 👍

That's a overrunning alternator decoupler pulley on the alternator. The 200 amp alternators have to have one on them to keep from throwing the belt off on deceleration.

Definitely spend some money and get an alignment from a reputable shop. On my CVPI I always had a rear vibration that I thought was an out of balance wheel, then told probably a bent rim. Turned out the front was out of whack and caused the rear to vibrate. Smooth as silk now and they straightened my steering wheel position!

YO, Love !! That's a beautiful, and well-maintained ride, and an excellent highway cruiser. BUT -- I shouldn't "float" down the road -- A set of four (4) KYB "Gas-A-Just" shocks will make it ride and handle MUCH better than new. SAFER, too !! (Rock Auto). I've had excellent results with a complete WALKER Dual Exhaust system with Magna-Flow 2" Glaspacks. Straight-thru performance, without the nasty noise. 😁 I'd like to have those WHEELS for the famous 95 MERC !!

Oh man, that adapter harness irks me. I got the exact adapter I needed for $7 amazon. Im all for cleaning up a rats nest, not adding to it or creating one. I was unlucky enough to learn the seller hacked off my factory connector, instead of doing it the right way. If you had went with a full size double din unit, you absolutely would’ve wanted to return that spaghetti adapter and pick out a single pigtail adapter.

Biggest killers of these and every other car is the discontinuation of oem parts..these dont have the following of a mustang or corvette so many parts for these cars arent made by aftermarket companies so when something is broken or doesnt work correctly your only option is to live with it or find it on ebay or somewhere else and once nobody is selling a pulldown motor anymore or a door weatherstripping, your screwed and gonna have to live with it. Hate that. Got a gorgeous black on black 2010 town car sig limited and i have bought alot of new from motorcraft parts and alot of used ones as well. Time will come where everything will be used and then after that you wont be able to find what you need at all no matter what it is. Sometimes i had to contact guys parting out with their town cars selling it for parts and have them remove an item i need and ship it to me. If your like me and keep your stuff in pristine condition its gonna be tough. Could be 5 years, could be 10 or 20 but eventually it will happen.

On the subject of the coil spring conversion, the reason you hear so many different opinions is because replacement springs are never the proper spring rate. Often they are too stiff, leading to a harder ride. Sometimes they are fine. If you want to maintain a factory smooth ride, I'd go with some factory rear coil springs out of an '80s Town Car. MGM or CV springs would also likely work, but may sit a bit lower than Town Car springs. The only reason the air suspension rides better than typical overly stiff replacement coils is because of the difference in spring rate.

I would put a spotlight back in it. I used to go to etisford and look up every option a car had by the vin number. I don't know if you can still do that. My 07 is almost 145K and my 11 just hit 148K. Factory air bags were 2FAFP71 and extra side air bags were 2FAHP71.

I really enjoyed this video. Especially his thoughts at the end about 3-D printing a replacement intake. Too bad nobody’s come up with a viable solution. I have an aftermarket intake and have noticed some power loss. Not huge but enough.
