- Here is another refurbishment project, but this is one of the worst-condition flats I have seen in a long time.
Apparently there was a water leak from upstairs, but the owner downstairs didn't mention it for SEVEN YEARS!
All the woodwork around the base of the walls, including skirtings, door frames, plasterboard and partition walls is rotten, tiles are falling off the walls, and there doesn't seem to be any kind of heating system installed in the flat.
The first thing to do is just strip everything out because there really isn't anything worth salvaging.
At the moment, it is arranged as a studio flat, but with a little re-arranging of the partition walls it can be re-designed as a cosy one-bedder.
Come and join me on this journey, it's going to be an interesting one.

I'm pleased that you find some hope in restoring the flat. I initially thought it would be a tear down to the studs.
Well, that's what we did! We just stripped everything out and started again. You can see the destruction process in the other videos.

It's sad to see how people lived, sometimes. I come across this from time to time when visiting properties in the line of work.
That is a fairly grim flat! Just watching this makes me feel itchy!
I never understood how people can let themselves live like that. Yes, you might be hard-up, but there's no reason not to clean your home.
I wish you all the luck in the world with this one, and I'm sure you will turn it into a lovely home for someone.
We really don't know the circumstances the owner found themselves in.
That place needs a lot of work. First that leak needs to be fixed.
No leaks now, because all the plumbing was removed. Nothing was worth saving.
Get the feel of it, yes an itchy feeling,and A sad feeling as well ,Loneliness Is An awful thing
Some of the things left there certainly point to a lonely life with much poverty.

Wow this flat is rather grim. It's a shame that people let their homes get in this condition.
I think people let things slide without realising, and gradually decline into this state. I know something of the owner, sad story, didn't seem to have much support in his life. We're not all the same, sometimes we all need a little help😢

Basically a filthy dirty slum of a property, let’s be honest. Bacteria heaven, some of them dangerous to health. But , from
previous videos you uploaded, you will make it clean & wholesome and decorated to a very reasonable standard ( if you
are involved ). I didn’t quite catch the intro, it could belong to a friend. Best of luck.
That's how some people choose to live. We can't criticise because we don't know their circumstances.

Not sure that I agree with the word ‘chose’. In my 26 years as a S/Worker I have seen some gruesome homes - people descend
into living in these conditions, usually from MH or Physical incapabilities. Often they were ashamed. Maybe you know more
than was said on your YT video, but what was shown was grotty, nothing said about any smells e.g.
I do know ,but this isn't the place to share such information. As I mentioned in another comment, we should all just look out for our neighbours, especially if they might seem vulnerable.
