Many of us are speculating about the, "Mike DelGaudio" phenomenon. The voice that can make every microphone sound amazing. Either way, I love your content. It's a pleasant encounter to see your desire in offering demonstrations, of some budget friendly equipment. Would love to see a short video on, "some things to expect from a V.O. Coaching session." Appreciate all you do. Be well.
What I really like about these mini shotguns is just how stupidly versatile they are. It's a camera mic first and foremost, but then if you get a mini tripod mount, it suddenly becomes a desktop mic fit for streaming. I've even seen some setups where they set it up as a boom mic. Personally I think that if one is just starting out with recording, streaming or really anything to do with voice, even if the only recording device they own is their PC's Realtek input jack or their smartphone, it's a mic that most people should start with. They could potentially stick with it for a long time even as they go through first proper recording interface upgrade.
Mike, thank you for doing videos again. I was having withdrawals. I definitely use your channel for microphone and other gear selections. Plus I just love watching you do your thing. Keep it up
I think part of the reason they ended up with the Rycote shock mount is because a lot of people had problems with the originals shock mount breaking. While they were great at sending out replacements, I imagine it probably made sense to just go with Rycote from now on.
Nice review. I'd seriously consider that for my home setup that's mostly zoom calls and elearning. BTW I always called those small dead cat wind socks, dead kittens😼
It's a great mic for the price. Nice and crisp. I love the team at Movo. They're doing great work for content creators on a budget to get into quality gear.
Wow, really impressive little thing. I'm glad you showcased this mic, it might be right for a ton of content creators with a tight budget. Also, I find that it sounded way better when it was plugged into your camera, it had less noise going woosh in the background. Even though it works with the Atem Mini, it kind of had this constant hum, maybe it's a noise from the room. Just my observations, two cents let's say. Great video Mike =)
What I hear is Mike breathing into the microphone- sounds like a hum, but is just his breath. If you listen to the quiet portions there does not seem to be a hum. I have this mic and it is fantastic. I’m listening to this through my Sony 1000XM4 headphones.
I'm absolutely surprised how well it works on the Atem, especially considering the distance it has from your mouth. For 50 dollars that's pretty amazing.
@@rigocornejo6003 Ok, it sounds bad to your golden ears and good to the rest of the world apparently. Must be hard to live in that world though, everything sounding bad and not satisfying. I rather take a life where "good for the price" exists.
If anybody is thinking "this guy will be bias caus he get this mic for free!!!" Well well.... First, Mike doesn't need another mic in his housse, because he already sound amazing. Yep, even if he only speak into a jack with no mike plug in! Second, Mike, for obscure reason, own microphone and audio setup that worth the equivalent of some third world country! Love from Montréal
Hey Mike! You should check out the RTX Voice. It's an AI controlled noise gate and I think it would make a great video. It works very well for streaming, but I was wondering if it would work well for voice over.
I have the older $40 (I think) Movo mic. Works just fine. But there is a much bigger question here. Where is the Pittsburgh beach. Lived in Shadyside, Wilkinsburg, and Squirrel Hill - never found it.
Man, I really love these videos. You've got the voice of an angel. I'd love for you to check out the Røde PodMic. I've been looking to get a dynamic mic and the PodMic has a really attractive price tag. I'd love to hear what you've got to say about that one!
Interested in how you are using your voiceover work. If you can get one, the Rode Podmic is fantastic and a bargain at $99 US. If you are on a super tight budget, the Newer NW-800 is amazing for it’s price. If you can’t get the. Rode, the MXL BCD-1 at about $150 is also a good beginner microphone.
Can you help solve a microphone mystery? Are MOVO and BOYA the same company, operating under different names in different territories, or is there something else going on, because the MOVO VXR10 PRO and the BOYA MM1+ have exactly the same specifications? Cheers!
Boya BY-MM1+ seems to be identical to Movo VRX10 PRO based on their manuals; www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/618693.pdf and www.boya-mic.com/Upload/1588150517.pdf. And it seems to be the case for Boya BY-MM1 and Movo VRX10 as well.
I think the diagram isn't very accurate. Given the amount of noise the mic picked up when its back was to the wind, it's much more of a hypercardioïd. Anyway, cool review, I didn't know of that brand.
Can you put out a video about mics everyday, because between you and Podcastage, I can't say I watch anyone else's video just for the commentary and regardless of the product/mic they are featuring.
you can create a voice over for this, you can create a voice over for that, and yet nobody has ever answered to my proposals... I guess upwork is a dead horse..

Thank you for making this creative and informative video - we appreciate it!
I was wondering if you could tell us what you’ve been in, so we can hear your voice in action

I purchased the Movo VXR10. Sounds great. It also helps to have a set of pipes sent from above, like you do.
Thanks for the frequent uploads! Your voice is like ASMR to me
This was the vid I’ve been waiting for! After seeing this is good for VO, I bought it.

Movo just sent this over to me! I am excited to review it. Great job as usual!

Hum on this video or hum for you?
@@SinsualModelingAgency I mean, I heard it in the video, with my good old earbuds, not for me in general
I’m listening to that portion now to hear what I hear. I fell asleep during the last few minutes last night- missed the ATEM portion. LOL

Excellent interview!!! I bought a pair of these. Still working through video cables and adapters and will share what works and what didn’t.

Movo sounds like poverty amigo your ears are probably bad.

Id love to see your opinion on the Zoom H1n. I have done voiceover for my schoolwork and i think that for the price it has crazy good quality.
Love this channel
Mike in an unnatural habitat aka outside his booth. Now that's an interesting change to observe. Mic sounds ok for the price imo
I have the older $40 (I think) Movo mic. Works just fine. But there is a much bigger question here. Where is the Pittsburgh beach. Lived in Shadyside, Wilkinsburg, and Squirrel Hill - never found it.
Thank you, that’s such an approachable price point for a versatile addition to my battle station. Excited to order one ( :
Aka the Boya MM1+ if the Movo VXR 10 Pro sells out.

Evening video release!!?!
It's Christmas in November, baby!
This or a video mic pro plus?
What would you pick?
You upgraded your studio camera from the A5100! I got the ZV-1 as well... how do you like it? My A5100 is still in the booth tho... 😁
What is with the headphone output jack? I can't ever hear / audit anything when using on Canon M50 or Galaxy S10. What am I missing?
Will you do boya by-mm1 comparison to this mic? It’s another cheap mic like the one in the video. The takstar mics are some others
Glad you’re doing mics that a lot of youtubers use now
i need your recommendations for the startup Mic, because I have purchased the Zoom H6 for my voice over work

Obviously, the Movo reviewed here is also a great low end, high quality solution.
Another upload!?!?!? Is it Christmas?
holy shit. its only 50 bugs and that good?
50 bucks with years of voiceover experience and good room accoustic. Mike probably can get a 20 bucks mic sounds good as well!
Mike makes any mic sound good tbh

No. The answer is no. Haha.
I'll pass on this mic...should be cleaner
Why would you spends a whole day recording and editing a video for a bs product? You have to be honest that mic is garbage.
