Most excellent lesson. I've never thought further about the husbands who left their wives and children to follow King Noah -- that was very powerful. I just gotta say that I love that you guys remain focused on the listeners and continue to point people toward the Lord, the Holy Ghost, the scriptures, and the words of living prophets as the primary source and what you share as something supplemental to consider. I also appreciate how you approach discussions with your own opinions. As always, very well done, and I look forward to each episode every week.
The story of Limhi's people reminded me of a struggle I had at the end of 2014 to get a job. I was working voluntarily in a brand new role in IT Support to gain experience, having been inspired to make a career change. I had completed a CompTIA qualification as well. Every day I was applying for as many jobs as possible on as many sites I could find jobs on that were suited to me and did not have many replies. I truly felt that I was showing the Lord that I was making as much effort as I could but at one point I felt like I was banging on the door of opportunity so hard that my knuckles were bleeding and shouting at the top of my voice in frustration with no-one responding. I felt the impression to take a step back and involve the Lord more. I continued to apply for jobs and one Monday morning I had listed a number of jobs to apply for to look at later on that day. In the afternoon I had an email come through and it was from a company I had never heard of, 100 miles from my home. They were an IT / Telecoms company and had seen my CV and wanted to interview me by telephone which I agreed to. I prepared myself for it and had a really good interview. The next day I was told that I stood head and shoulders above all other interviewees and that the job was mine. It was nearer to my home than most of the jobs I had applied for were. I really enjoyed the job and flourished in it. I have learned to involve the Lord more and have seen how much He blesses you in much more simple and far more effective ways than when you try to do things yourself too much.
The depth of my own testimony keeps on growing with your weekly insights and spirit filled lessons. Both of you have a style of your own that compliments the lessons outreach. Our God is blessing us with showers of inspiration each week. I cannot seem to get enough of it. I love the Book of Mormon more each day and I love both of you!

I think this video shows perfectly why the First Presidency announced the replacing of the display cases (the ones with the missionary plaques) and the bulletin boards in foyers with pictures of Christ. It isn't our activities that save us, it's Christ. What a powerful visual reminder when we walk once again into our chapels to partake of the Sacrament together.

I love how you teach that only with Christ can we keep our baptism covenants. He truly is the only one who fully bears our burdens - 100%, and only with His help can we fulfill the charge in 18:8. I also like how you talk of Ammon being a type or shadow of Christ when he goes, with his 15 companions, to deliver Lehi's people from bondage. I learn so much from these wonderful lessons. I loved listening to all you explained. I've read this before but how you explain things brings more clarity to me. I have recently had to choose between my Heavenly Father and somthing else that I wanted with all my heart. During a very sincere prayer, I received a question very clear in my hear: "Do you choose righteousness (meaning my Heavenly Father) or the thing you are desiring greatly?" Without hesitation I immediately responded that I want righteousness! My response was so quick that I know it came from my soul and NOT my temperal mind. But, in God's wisdom to ask me this question, I realized what I really wanted for my life and such burden was lisfted from me at that very moment. It was happened so quickly that I realized what truely was in my heart all along but I fought against it thinking I could have both. In His great wisdom He taught me something about myself and I began at that moment to "let go" of my request for the other and I have been at such peace ever since that day of His question to me. I am so much closer to my Father, my Savior and the sweetness of the Holy Ghost's promptings. No longer turning away from that sweet voice of the Holy Ghost, but turning towards Him with great desire. I continue to thank my Heavenly Father daily for strengthening me and putting me on the right path which I wanted all along, but was confused within myself. Thankyou Brethren for taking your precious time to learn, study and execute these lessons to us in a perfect manner. God Bless... Grandma's Angel's

I have been watching your videos for just over a month now (after finding them purely by chance - as if!) I'm so glad the Lord let me find your classes. I am gaining so much from your presentations - you make it interesting, intelligent, real and thought-provoking. Each week I come away with copious notes, more coloured pages (didn't think I could do this but I'm colouring over already coloured verses with notes squeezed into the itty bitty white margins as well as in my scripture/personal journey journal). Thank you , thank you, thank you. Today's video reminded me that bondage doesn't mean governments enslaving us - though it does mean that as well - but we enslave ourselves through so many ways. I want to share something else that I learnt or realised - growing up I only ever listened to the promptings in my heart (long story, don't need to get into it here) - then when I joined the church I was told I had to listen to others like the teachers, leaders etc. (it was a given to listen to the Prophet and Apostles). As I changed my life and began to listen to their voices they drowned out the still small voice but I thought I had to obey my Priesthood leaders. My life went topsy-turvy and it wasn't until everything collapsed that I went back to only listening only to the Lord again and taking other people's words with a grain of salt. Since that time I've gotten my life back on track - not that I ever left the church or stopped living as good as I can - I just stopped listening to other's opinions first and put the Lord's voice back as first in line. Today, as you taught these principles, I realised that is what happened to me all those years ago - I've learnt so many things through my experiences and it is wonderful to hear them all being put into perspective in your videos. I'm always sharing them on my Facebook - I think people have stopped reading my posts LOL. I also want to say that during those difficult years I devoured the Book of Mormon, it was my lifeblood and held every answer that I sought as I navigated through the most hideous experiences - then once I was free of that I was hesitant to read the book again as it brought back all that trauma. I could easily read the other books of scripture etc. but not the Book of Mormon - I want to tell you truthfully, that your videos have made that possible for me - to again study this wonderful book of scripture without being hurled back into the trauma of those 17 years. Each time prior to the videos I would try but end up in sheer terror that somehow it would start over again - but it hasn't - you broke the barrier for me. Thank you.
How is it that I have spent my whole life in the Church attending Sunday School, Seminary and Institute actively, and this insight into deliverence from personal bondage has never been shown to me? I don't think it's that I just haven't heard it; no, it really hasn't ever been pointed-out like this! Thank you for giving us these great lessons! I know the "Come Follow Me" program of study in the Church is inspired of God, and technology, and the way to view lessons from knowledgeable teachers such as yourselves...--all inspired of God for our day! I'm so sorry for the people who don't take advantage of the great cup of water just sitting there waiting to be grasped and swallowed!

After each of your videos, I pause and reflect upon the lessons learned. This morning I feel a swelling, an amplification if you will, of an even greater appreciation for Prophets of God. In addition, in my own leadership practice, I've frequently addressed the topic of humility. Today I'm reminded again of how practicing humility (daily) is a sure way that will release us from bondage and keep us on the covenant path. Mor (love) Mon (endure/everlasting) was new to me. The Book of Mormon or otherwise, "The love of God endures forever" was a sweet tasting fruit that resonated with my heart and mind. Thank you again guys - I love this hour of my week together! :-)

Day and Day I conclude on one thing and one thing only, that a physical extension of the lord’s arm and strength to his children is the Book of Mormon. I’ve come this far only by the help of this book. Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah .

Amazing message from the Book of Mormon! The obedience to scared covenants and commandments bring us the strength we need through our trust in the Lord to endure all things for his sake. Now I understand how I have overcome trials in my life with his help and strength.

I think this video shows perfectly why the First Presidency announced the replacing of the display cases (the ones with the missionary plaques) and the bulletin boards in foyers with pictures of Christ. It isn't our activities that save us, it's Christ. What a powerful visual reminder when we walk once again into our chapels to partake of the Sacrament together.

I love how you teach that only with Christ can we keep our baptism covenants. He truly is the only one who fully bears our burdens - 100%, and only with His help can we fulfill the charge in 18:8. I also like how you talk of Ammon being a type or shadow of Christ when he goes, with his 15 companions, to deliver Lehi's people from bondage. I learn so much from these wonderful lessons. I loved listening to all you explained. I've read this before but how you explain things brings more clarity to me. I have recently had to choose between my Heavenly Father and somthing else that I wanted with all my heart. During a very sincere prayer, I received a question very clear in my hear: "Do you choose righteousness (meaning my Heavenly Father) or the thing you are desiring greatly?" Without hesitation I immediately responded that I want righteousness! My response was so quick that I know it came from my soul and NOT my temperal mind. But, in God's wisdom to ask me this question, I realized what I really wanted for my life and such burden was lisfted from me at that very moment. It was happened so quickly that I realized what truely was in my heart all along but I fought against it thinking I could have both. In His great wisdom He taught me something about myself and I began at that moment to "let go" of my request for the other and I have been at such peace ever since that day of His question to me. I am so much closer to my Father, my Savior and the sweetness of the Holy Ghost's promptings. No longer turning away from that sweet voice of the Holy Ghost, but turning towards Him with great desire. I continue to thank my Heavenly Father daily for strengthening me and putting me on the right path which I wanted all along, but was confused within myself. Thankyou Brethren for taking your precious time to learn, study and execute these lessons to us in a perfect manner. God Bless... Grandma's Angel's

I have been watching your videos for just over a month now (after finding them purely by chance - as if!) I'm so glad the Lord let me find your classes. I am gaining so much from your presentations - you make it interesting, intelligent, real and thought-provoking. Each week I come away with copious notes, more coloured pages (didn't think I could do this but I'm colouring over already coloured verses with notes squeezed into the itty bitty white margins as well as in my scripture/personal journey journal). Thank you , thank you, thank you. Today's video reminded me that bondage doesn't mean governments enslaving us - though it does mean that as well - but we enslave ourselves through so many ways. I want to share something else that I learnt or realised - growing up I only ever listened to the promptings in my heart (long story, don't need to get into it here) - then when I joined the church I was told I had to listen to others like the teachers, leaders etc. (it was a given to listen to the Prophet and Apostles). As I changed my life and began to listen to their voices they drowned out the still small voice but I thought I had to obey my Priesthood leaders. My life went topsy-turvy and it wasn't until everything collapsed that I went back to only listening only to the Lord again and taking other people's words with a grain of salt. Since that time I've gotten my life back on track - not that I ever left the church or stopped living as good as I can - I just stopped listening to other's opinions first and put the Lord's voice back as first in line. Today, as you taught these principles, I realised that is what happened to me all those years ago - I've learnt so many things through my experiences and it is wonderful to hear them all being put into perspective in your videos. I'm always sharing them on my Facebook - I think people have stopped reading my posts LOL. I also want to say that during those difficult years I devoured the Book of Mormon, it was my lifeblood and held every answer that I sought as I navigated through the most hideous experiences - then once I was free of that I was hesitant to read the book again as it brought back all that trauma. I could easily read the other books of scripture etc. but not the Book of Mormon - I want to tell you truthfully, that your videos have made that possible for me - to again study this wonderful book of scripture without being hurled back into the trauma of those 17 years. Each time prior to the videos I would try but end up in sheer terror that somehow it would start over again - but it hasn't - you broke the barrier for me. Thank you.

How is it that I have spent my whole life in the Church attending Sunday School, Seminary and Institute actively, and this insight into deliverence from personal bondage has never been shown to me? I don't think it's that I just haven't heard it; no, it really hasn't ever been pointed-out like this!

I know the "Come Follow Me" program of study in the Church is inspired of God, and technology, and the way to view lessons from knowledgeable teachers such as yourselves...--all inspired of God for our day! After each of your videos, I pause and reflect upon the lessons learned. This morning I feel a swelling, an amplification if you will, of an even greater appreciation for Prophets of God. In addition, in my own leadership practice, I've frequently addressed the topic of humility. Today I'm reminded again of how practicing humility (daily) is a sure way that will release us from bondage and keep us on the covenant path.
Mor (love) Mon (endure/everlasting) was new to me. The Book of Mormon or otherwise, "The love of God endures forever" was a sweet tasting fruit that resonated with my heart and mind. Thank you again guys - I love this hour of my week together! :-)
