Thank for your open minded reaction.👍👍👍 I ,as a 48 year old korean mom army, just want people to know we army are not crazy fan girls. We love their songs, their struggles, their messages and love for army(all lives)..... Sometimes I really want to preserve them from the unprovoked hates toward BTS. So I'm so happy for seeing your reaction💜💜

They and their music tackle issues such as mental health, youth and female empowerment, cyber bullying, child and youth violence, self love and personal development, breaking gender stereotypes, fight against current social and socio-economic norms, anti racism, antiviolence, respect for yourself and others, social consciousness and personal responsibility, Kindness and charity, inclusivity... I hope you check them out more... I'm 50 a grandmother and a metalhead and I LOVE BTS. Greetings from Australia...... ARMY is very diverse and does not discriminate we are made up of all ages, genders, races and religions and welcome anyone who appreciates BTS and their message of Love for the world. The BTS rabbit hole is deep - but soooo much fun!!💜💜If you let us know what genres you love we will be able to direct you to something that will amaze you. GOODLUCK WITH YOUR CHANNEL
Most reactors start off skeptical to BTS music. It usually takes about 10 songs for them to get hooked. Once hooked the rabbit hole is deep. If you do decide to keep reacting to BTS you will be amazed at how truly talented they are. I hope you keep checking them out. If you liked Mic Drop then I would recommend Not Today or Fire, if you want something on the opposite end of their musical spectrum then I would recommend Your Eyes Tell or Film Out.
Don’t watch without reacting! We love seeing every step of your journey! I’d rewatch if you want, just let us know you’re re-reacting. Trust me, seeing them again later they will hit differently. Let’s go!
Ooooh believe me, ARMY has some toxic people too, but for the most part we're great, in my personal opinion. So I'm glad you got the best part of the fandom in the comments. I've been an ARMY for 1,5 years now and met some amazing people thanks to it. Best fandom I've ever been in. And the messages BTS conveys through their music and what they stand for is the cause of that, I believe. Thank you for checking BTS out, not everyone is that openminded. Great reaction too! If you like metal, I can recommend BABYMETAL or if you like rock more, BAND-MAID. Both are groups from Japan.
Ah BTS are awesome, the fan base can be pretty wild but there are so many of us that it’s a diverse group with various characteristics and perspectives- some bad apples as found in all groups, but overall I’ve found most fans are really nice! It might be a bit early since you haven’t seen much of their huge discography but there’s a pretty awesome introduction called “A guide to bts: bangtan 7” by Taylor If you want to react to it^^
and also many different ages, not even most are 13 yr old girls. all the BTS fans I know are over 30 and some well over 30. I find media that reports that annoying.
Hi. I am gonna leave "💜" purple heart here. Thank you for reacting If you may interested in them individually. I suggest you to react to Taylor Nakamoto's "A guide to BTS members" Though their english songs are amazing, most of us will suggest their korean songs cause what attract us to be ARMY are the genius lyricism and meanings. I am 35 and the song Epiphany made us Army. I feel loved, many of us feel loved by them. They help those who are struggling in life mentally. with their music and sincerity
First of all, thank you for keep listening to BTS, and thank you for the effort in researching about them. I'm sorry about the snarky comments, but problematic people are in every fandom because problematic people are everywhere. So don't think bad of ARMY, please: most of us are chill and we simply want to support BTS. Hopefully, you will find reasons to keep listening to them (yea, unfortunately, the subtitles are often not top-notch quality: doolset is always a guarantee).
I love music too.. I have to admit I have my favorites, but BTS opened my eyes and ears. I never in my life ever thought I would be hooked sooo bad into BTS!! They are just hardworking, humble, talented guys!!
Anneyeonghaseo (Hi)! New subscriber here. I'm 65 and what drew me to BTS, as opposed to other Kpop 'bands', is that BTS was encouraged from the very beginning to write their own songs about things that were important to them. A recent group of albums is based on Swiss Psychiatrist Carl Jung's theory of Map of the Soul and the desire/struggle for acceptance of all areas of one's 'self'. I know of no other group, Korean, American or otherwise who writes songs like this. Most reactors will listen to the song and read the English lyrics, but never get the chance to understand the deeper meaning,...which is what I am all about. There is a you tube channel called DKDKTV that explains, when necessary (and sometimes required) to understand the songs from a Korean perspective. For the Map of the Soul albums, the introduction is a rap song by RM (a lead songwriter, well read, with an IQ of 148) called 'Persona'. The DKDKTV channel explains 'Persona' as well as the Carl Jung theory. Just a suggestion, but where explanations are available, it is fun for us ARMY to see the reactors response when the MV and Explanations are done back to back. I take great joy in seeing someone find out what genius songwriters BTS really are!! If you continue down the BTS rabbit hole you will also learn that there is a separate story line that runs through consecutive songs/albums and it is known as the Bangtan Universe. I am disabled and an avid watcher of reaction videos and videos of music from all around the world too! Thank you for giving BTS a chance...you might get to learn a little Korean along the way :) Khamsamnida (thank you) ARMY grandma
Also....BTS Festa 2021 is a great video to watch ... it's a medley of songs that shows not only some of the song diversity in the group, but the fun personalities of the members.
wow.. i really appreciate that u read all armys comments n willing to open minded to learn. i feel really happy about that. Hope u can dive more about BTS, they are doing so many genres of music, not just stuck in one genre. If u like kind of hiphop rock, i recommend "Run BTS" colour coded lyrics and "BTS dionysus special comeback stage mcountdown". this one is their live performance so u can watch the choreography too (but too bad, there is no eng sub on that video. perhaps u can read the lyrics from ur phone). thank u so much :)
If you want Dionysos no other than MMA 2019 will do, sorry... I don't take other suggestions 😉 Best performance ever. But "Spring Day" will always be queen.
Some of BTS' other vibes: "Airplane Pt 2" Latin inspired "On, Kinetic Manifesto" Marching band meets hiphop. They also have a MV "ON" which is like watching an art movie, full of symbolism. You'll need an explanation video (recommend DKDKTV's) for that. The manifesto one is straight up music and dancing. "Idol" As a child of the 60's I appreciate the psychedelic aspect of the visuals. Full of traditional S Korean cultural references and instruments. "Daechwita" is Suga's (aka Agust D) solo MV and is spectacular. All rap. "Black Swan" performance or MV. The dance is more like contemporary/modern dance. Harps! I personally like their "dance practices" (performance ready) because I love all things dance. And videos of their live performances. They did a "Tiny Desk" you might find interesting. 3 songs, 1 of them is Dynamite but they're performing with a live band and not dancing. The other two are "Save Me" and "Spring Day". "Spring Day" MV is another one that needs an explanation (again, my preferred is DKDKTV) 73 yo new subscriber because I saw you have a Tom MacDonald video and a bunch of folk I have never heard of. 💜
Sorry to correct you but Airplane pt 2 is the Latin inspired one. Airplane (or Airplane pt 1 )is J Hope’s solo song. Love that you are 73 , l am 67 from Australia and have been ARMY for 6 years.
i understand where u are coming from...it's just army is a very diverse amazing enthusiastic fan base and we are very protective of our boys ....this enthusiasm is constant and can be seen in every true army no matter colour race gender and age...we have something in common that just brings us together and that driving force is these 7 boys who've grown into incredible 7 men in front of our eyes...it's just when it comes to BTS ...there is a place for everyone...there is a place for every kind of fan...u can lean on one thing or the other .....members are so closely knitted yet have so many different personalities and are so authentic about it that u can relate absolutely to atleast one of them...but real army grew to love each andevery member equally ..it's not an exaggeration when army says that BTS saved their life . .bcoz the message the BTS sends through their music.through the way they live their life is powerful and it resonates with us.... that's y we are what we are...they made us believe in ourselves at the time where we completely lost ourselves ....i guarantee once u get to know them their personalities their journey coz that's one of a true underdog story....u will come to understand BTS and army much better i recommend 1."This is BTS" by xceleste to understand BTS as a whole 2."Intro to 7 members of BTS" by Taylor to understand each member and their specialities 3. "this is BTS army" by xceleste welcome to the best rabbit hole u could ever be in 💜💜💜borahae
what i like the most from song is the lyrics (beside sounds good with unique voice) especially it have more deeper meaning, just like u peel an onion, it has so many layers and i found that in BTS. there is some songs that u must watch the explanation video to able understand more about the song, coz BTS often use korean references, analogy, history or idiom on their lyrics. For example : "BTS - Bapsae or crowtit" if u just listening from the sound, it sounds just like a catchy n trendy song, but the lyrics actually a criticism for society phenomenon in korea (but it happened in other countries around the world too). or BTS "N.O", is a critism about korean school system n society values. or BTS "am i wrong" is one of their political song that lowkey dissing one of korean politics that sit on government (and that a really risk moves for their career as idol in korea for being critical) and so many more. They also have so many self help song or motivation song that help so many people when they are in their depression or feel hopeless. Just like my most favorite song "Tomorrow". this song help lot of people to give a comfort n motivation to not give up fighting for tomorrow (this song that make me become army, in 2014). For why BTS have a lot of motivation song, it because korea is one of most suicide rate country after japan in the word. So they want to help the listeners at least can give them a comfort and motivation to not give up. i highly recommended explanation video from DKDKTV channel or Bookish theory. or Army will suggest u which explanation video is the best for some specific song.
Ratatouille is a French dish that used to be made with leftover veggies, a poor person's food. Now it's a delicacy . In the movie the rat was the chef the movie was named after the dish 💜 subbed
I'd like to issue a challenge. Watch the MV for Spring Day and give your opinion, then watch the Spring Day Explained by Italian Army, then rewatch Spring Day MV and see if your opinion of the song has changed. Thanks for reacting to our boys. 💜
This is the song that took me down the BTS rabbit hole back in JAN 2018 I am a 57 year old Aussie lady with 2 daughters that have Kpop fans since 2012 my oldest daughter is 28 she went to their concert when they came to Sydney in 2017. I also am a big fan of 80s & 90s Hip hip and RnB and RAP so I am totally enjoying this journey of this group of very talents men. They are very humble and and so so funny lots of behind the scenes and vlogs that will take you on a ride you don't want to get off!! Loved your reaction look forward to seeing more!! 9 years of their work it's so so worth it!!! Thank you
BTS is huge, because ARMY is huge, roughly 50 million souls. But ARMY did not get this huge if it wasn't for BTS' skills & talents. It's symbiotic, a sort of vicious circle, as with any celebrity & their fans in history. All we ask is that your observations of BTS are authentic. We don't like people riding/surfing the wave, getting onto the bandwagon just because youtube channels want more views & likes. If reactors do not like BTS or their songs, then so be it, at least it's honest & that's what we want. Some celebs care more about the profits than the fans. BTS was honest & authentic with their fans from the get-go, a decade ago, including in their lyrics, & that is what has made them special. I must say there are fans within ARMY that can get toxic, but that's common in all fandoms for decades. Proper ARMY are courteous & do not berate any other music groups. As you've already researched, Mic Drop is a message to their haters. Yet To Come is sort of both a goodbye to their past & moving on to the next chapter in their careers ... we hope. By the way, not sure what is going on with your microphone, but there is too much room reverb, or it could be some delay in the recording, but it's distracting, making your voice a little harder to understand. You might need a mic closer to your mouth. Even a cheap wired PC (electret) microphone, with foam wind screen, should work.
To explain a little bit about the background of Mic Drop, as you know, now BTS is the biggest boy band in the world. But they started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves. It's a song for their haters. :) The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope, the main dancer and dance leader of BTS. And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :) If you're interested in their live performances, Just check this out. [BANGTAN BOMB] 2017 MAMA Mic Drop. (BTS focus) th-cam.com/video/floMqK_yHf8/w-d-xo.html It's not an official MAMA video broadcast on TV, but a full-cam taken by Big Hit. I recommend this because the camera work on official MAMA is so messed up. In this performance, Mic Drop was their 4th song, so the members were exhausted and held on with their mental strength only. And, there were even three dance breaks at this time. I can feel all of them Even if I die, I will die on stage. The energy is crazy! And BTS Mic Drop remix Jimmy Kimmel Live is great too. :) Oh, there is another song BTS worked on with Steve Aoki. The Truth Untold is a completely different song from Mic Drop. :) And If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I recommend.... Blood sweat & tears FIRE On kinetic manifesto film Black Swan Save me→I'm fine Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo) All of their music videos provide English subtitles. :) Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful. Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, Epiphany, The Truth Untold, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative. It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :) They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :) Maybe you can try this. [2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) BTS ROOM LIVE It's a medley performance where you can taste the diversity of their music in 10 minutes. They are Korean songs, but English subtitles are provided, so you don't need to worry. :) They don't dance in this performance, but you can see them having so much fun. :)
You seem to be such a sweet person! Thank you for keeping an open mind! Most people don't do that! My personal favourite is "Ugh"! I hope you react/listen to it someday and I hope you like it!
I really enjoyed your reaction, and your discussion at the start as well. I suggest checking out the ‘BTS Room Live’ performance. It’s only 10 mins long and it goes through a few of their B-side tracks from various albums. Turn on closed captions. I’ll post the link in a moment.
Thank you for giving BTS another try. 💜 ARMY's like authentic reactions, and we appreciate open-mindedness. We do have some toxic ARMYs, they'll demand you listen/watch MVs in a certain way, or tell you there is only one true way to interpret the song. Fortunately they are in a small minority. One more heads up, and you may already know this, we can leave some long essays for our comments. Since you are looking for music you have never heard...here are some artists to try. Dimash Kudaibergen: he is a Kazakh singer, classically trained, with a mind-blowing range, and beautiful voice control. "Sinful Passion" and "SOS" are good examples of his range. AURORA is Norwegian. She puts a lot of thought into the story she wants to tell--music, lyrics, visually. "Murder Song" and "Runaway" are a couple of suggestions.
Ah wish we could have gotten your reactions to those few songs you've already checked out, but alas, it is what it is! I'm glad that you were interested enough to check them out off camera, too! I think that's really telling about who you are as a person and how you approach music reactions since there are some channels that would never consider missing out on the opportunity to get views and potential ad revenue on a first time reaction. Really hope you'll continue reacting to BTS in the future! I think the more you learn about them and the more content you watch the more you'll come to like and respect them. BTS is like magic - they draw in good people and as ARMY always says - you find BTS when you need them most.
Yeah Army can be a lil aggressive, sorry about that. You can trust that BTS has a song in every genre though, they are very talented and versatile. They make their own music too
fun fact : the leader of group (RM) it's get inspired from barrack obama when he do a mic drop on his speech. so he make this song idea to silent the haters with do their own mic drop.
No need to feel sorry when u need to pause or rewind the video when u want to talk or give a comments. Better to do it because ARMY hate it when u are not paying attention to the video. I love your honesty. Please feel free to do so. We love an honest reaction. If dont like it, it's ok, afterall music is about preferences. What we ask is for you to be open minded, respectful n willing to learn. Feel free to ask if u have any doubts or questions. Many ARMY will answer n educate u willingly 💜 we will guide u through this journey
Glad you checked out more BTS. They are not anything typical from any genre perspective. They have over 300 songs so a lot to enjoy, even solo, sub-unit, and unit songs as well as the full group. Good luck!
Hi Ric, great reaction! BTS ARMY (including me!) are very enthusiastic and always want to give new listeners as much info as possible. But please do your own thing and go at your own pace. That is the joy of BTS, making your own discoveries and realising before you know it YOU are ARMY! Anything negative, block and move on! Looking forward to your next video!💜
Thanks for the shoutout 💜 I love this channel already. You are so awesome to take our feedback and not get defensive. You seem very genuine, open, and intelligent (so perfect for appreciating BTS!). You’ll see several references to the Korean “spoon system” in their music. As someone who climbed from the bottom of the US’s socioeconomic ladder, it really resonates with me. The opening line of Mic Drop hooked me for that reason. The song Baepsae (no MV but awesome live and dance practice videos) deeply explores this concept. The song that got me into BTS is Fake Love. Its lyrics are top tier, and the MV is amazing. Their MVs are directed by Lumpens and are all movie-quality. The MVs for Blood, Sweat, and Tears & Daechwita are my favorite MVs. I highly recommend you hear them sing live because they are phenomenal live performers. FESTA 2021 Room Live is great and has captions; it’s a medley of b-sides in chronological order. Tiny Desk is great and has captions too. I personally love their live performances in ARMYpedia (they revisit very early work in 2019). They also just released PROOF live, and it’s absolutely amazing and has captions. They do 3 songs on it- their Born Singer cover from 2013, Yet to Come, and For Youth.
BTS have a few MVs that are harder to understand without knowing the context behind them and Yet To Come happened to be one of them. In my opinion those other songs would be Idol, Blood Sweat and Tears and maybe to a lesser extent (the lyrics don't match the visual aspect) is I Need U. Most ARMY are wonderful, kind, and loving people who want to share BTS with the world but those few who make the biggest stink give our fandom a bad name. At the end of the day music is subjective and we're not all going to love the same things. If you're respectful toward the music and the members ARMY will come in droves to help guide your way through their massive discography based on musical tastes or suggestions about which videos are okay to watch or what to avoid. Side note: the world is a massive beautiful place with incredible cultures and this isn't aimed at you, but it saddens me to see people who believe that music being sung in English is the only "real" music out there. Discovering the boys opened my world up and it's been far brighter than before.
Never forget to turn on closed captions, their lyricism is what started them being global Beatles phenomenon long before all three all-English songs. Doolset is a good resource for exploring lyrics, and dkdktv has some great explanation videos with cultural context explained necessary for realizing the genius level lyrics eg, Ugh! Explained blew my mind and i was so grateful i watched it
Also, while we have to work harder to know what they are really saying, it’s worth it. I would recommend Doolset Lyrics and Muish’s Ramblings to really find out translations and contextual information for what is the true meaning in Korean. DKDKTV is also great on YT, we like people to react to his explanation videos. Quick example is Baepsae (Silver Spoon) song. Feels fun and lighthearted, but is really a scathing condemnation on the split in social classes in Korea. If you’re born poor (dirt spoon) you’re told you’re not succeeding because you’re not working hard enough, if you work hard and start succeeding you’re told to ‘know your place’. So you can’t win. Baepsae is known as the ‘crow-tit’, or parrotbill bird, with short legs, but can’t keep you with the stork with its long legs (the silver spoons born with wealth and privilege). It’s what makes them different. RM guides a lot of the lyrics and he has a 148 IQ and definitely puts more thought and meaning into what the words mean. In this case they are throwing down on the haters, which you’ll see if you watch things like Rise of Bangtan (react on videos please)
Bts and army has changed so many lives including mine! I'll love to see your journey too, who knows maybe you'll love them too or maybe just enjoy the music and move along💜Army says we don't find BTS, BTS finds us when we need them the most. I am sorry for the negative comments and grateful to army for the positive. Army are very polite, supportive, overwhelming and wild sometimes too. Take your time and I hope you enjoy this journey.
i’m a month late so idk if you’ll see this but just a suggestion: we really prefer if you react to everything you want to check out since we like to see people’s journeys into bts :) great reactions tho! i love how honest and genuine you are while simultaneously being open minded
As far as bts' dedicated rap songs, Mic Drop is not one of their best ones to showcase rap. Mic Drop is their most popular one since it has all the members, a music video, an english version (this one which you are reacting to, they added more english) and was promoted, as well as it being very general public friendly and even non rap fans like it since it mixes in a lot of pop elements. As has been recommended to you before, I really recommend UGH, Tear and Run BTS (Run BTS has all the members) :) UGH and Tear for lyrical content, though you might need explanations, and Run BTS for the sound. For translations and colour coding so you know who is singing/rapping, I recommend the channels AF Taehyung and Zaty Farhani. You need to be REALLY careful when choosing translations because there are more bad ones than good ones, and the most popular (Jaeguchi, Lemoring, etc) are the worst and make absolute garbage translations (said respectfully). AF Taehyung is the best translation channel on youtube, but they don't have translations for all the songs so Zaty Farhani is a safe backup choice :)
Only have a second to respond here (otherwise I could go on for pages about BTS) but here's 2 quick suggestions on other genres that I like. House of Cards for Jazz: th-cam.com/video/TX_ozc6GtmE/w-d-xo.html and not sure how to categorize this one? latin sounding pop? (even though they're singing in japanese) Airplane Pt. 2 th-cam.com/video/CxnJf0tWu48/w-d-xo.html. And oh yes, like you're other commenters I'm part of a multi-generational BTS-loving family and I have a 94-year old BTS Army pen pal so their fandom is not just a bunch of teenage girls. They have the largest most diverse (age, nationality, race, etc.) passionate fanbase the music world has ever seen & they've built it organically due to their incredible lyricism, musical & performance abilities, their humble, funny personalities, their underdog story, their familial bond, their message to the world, their philanthropy, etc. etc.
i loved your reaction. and they also have songs that are so motivational, inspirational and comforting like - Magic shop, 2! 3!, 21st century girl, Mikrokosmos, Young forever, Zero o clock , Love myself, Epiphany, No more dream, N.O , Spring day, Outro:Wings. hope you'll listen and react to them. 💜
I just want to document this moment for you since even while watching your 2 BTS videos and checking out your channel your subscriber count has risen a bunch. Just watched it jump again to 380. 6/30/22 8:15pm 🇺🇲
@@ricdreacts I've seen it several times where a reactor is in low 3 digits and ARMY comes marching in by thousands seemingly overnight. Some celebrating 10K in 2 weeks. Depends a bit on the sincerity of the reactor and how they fall into the rabbit hole. Just be your authentic self. If you aren't grooving to the music, we just want to hear that respectfully. If you have specific tastes let us know and we can offer suggestions based on that. The simplest thing at this point would be a Proof album listen with some background research to get your bearings, since that will give a good overview of the group. Your channel, your choice. You'll get plenty of suggestions, lol. Here's one more: One of the members, JHope just released a track from his upcoming album, Jack In The Box. Song is More, and has an MV. I'd love to share it with you💜
Guide the to members is a must. They have over 700 awards world wide. If you look at billboard today, you will see that they have most of the spots either as group or individually. Its a very deep rabbit hole with many different genres.
Thank you for giving them a second chance.....and please if you choose too check out a guide or two...this will help you not only get to know the guys, but the group as a whole, the kind of influence and love they have brought to the fandom and most guides will help you understand us, and who we are.. and trust me when I say we are not the typical group of fans. There are a couple of pharses you will see and hear throughout this journey...and let me tell you if u decide yo take this journey, it one u will never forget and its a big rabbithole but we will be right here to help u out. So a few of those phrases start with BORAHAE or I PURPLE U.Now Borahae means I Purple u in Korean, and what does that mean. In a concert several years ago one of the members, but the name of V (real name is Tae-hyung) said that "purple" in the ribbon was very important. First of all it's the last color, it means I love you. So if u feel down yes this does help. So I will leave you with is "BOAHAE" and "You Nice, Keep going!"
I'm glad you liked it, obviously we all have different tastes in everything and it's completely fine that you don't really like some other song, as the people say in my city "for tastes, colors" (because there is a wide variety of colors), so we will all have different tastes hehe In every fandom there will be toxic people, in some more than in others, even more so the massive fandoms. in our case there may be a certain number of toxic people but it is a small percentage, also if things are not said out of place there is no problem; what do I mean by "out of place"?, I don't mean that you don't like their music, but that there are people who become racist, very derogatory and unpleasant people (because of the type of comments) that's when army comes in saying "what you said is racist", "this is wrong because of that and this other" other than that everything is fine, (in addition to respecting our artists because there are people who mess with their physique and come to make fun of them with "is a woman right?" and it's very different when you ask it with sincere doubt or when you ask it contemptuously and with other intentions hehe) I add that, it is good that you had the lyrics with the additional notes because many times you come to think that what they say does not make sense, and well now that you have to know a little more to understand it jsjs I add a link with the live presentation (concert) th-cam.com/video/zKdis9YtjSE/w-d-xo.html , a fantastic and incredible thing about them: they sound much better on live :b I apologize in advance if there is any inconsistency, I am not fluent in English so I use the translator. have a nice day!!
Hi! Thank you for reacting to BTS! Everything you watch or listen to by BTS we will want to see plz. It's fine if it's a bit longer, we will watch it! Thanks again! 😁💜
Tear is both. They word play on that is so awesome it makes me cry every time i hear one of my fav raps of all time. House cards is also amazing jk blows minds with that one. Danger is also one of my favs. Watch live versions too. They are amazing live.
Hi! Just found your channel, thanks for checking out Bts! A member of Bts, Jhope just released a solosong called More wich is totally new style to Bts songs. I would also suggest Sugas soloalias Agust D song Dear my friend, the story in that one is heartfelt and Rm solo Forever rain. All very different in styles, it is amazing that they dont only do group stuff but also get to do these soloporojects. If you want good lyric video channels, af taehyung and DIAL6137 are the best ones! 💜
Thank you Sir. I like a reactor like you who 1) willing to google a bit abt BTS [unlike some who are so lazy to even find out the basic info, asking us how many members in BTS, where they are from, etc.] 2) read viewers' comments 3) read and appreciate lyrics btw. the original music/melody of Mic Drop is not much different than the remix.
Thanks for checking out the boys. To know them better please check out their documentary videos like 1. XCELESTE INTRODUCTION TO BTS, 2. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LIFE GOES ON THE STORY OF BTS 2022 UPDATE BY RICE SQUAD (this is about their journey from beginning to present), 3. GUIDE TO 7 MEMBERS OF BTS/BANGTAN BY TAYLOR NAKAMOTO (latest one). With other songs please react to ON KINETIC MANIFESTO FILM, BLACK SWAN, BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS, FAKE LOVE, I NEED YOU, IDOL, DNA, DOPE, LIFE GOES ON and many more.
I Think BTS biggest achievement is ARMY..... so if you open your mind and trust ARMY... they Will hold your hand through this beautiful journey down the rabbit hole...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'd like to see you react to "fake love" and maybe "blood, sweat and tears" I think you'll enjoy those. I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Your right Bts is very diverse, they cover different genres from Rock to neo-soul and of course hip hop. 😊
Please react to RUN BTS by BTS from the PROOF album one ,coz they had another old song with title RUN too, make sure you watch the lyric or turn the CC button ON.😊💜
I'm so happy that you decided to give BTS another chance! 💜 Love how you get into the lyrics. Please feel free to react to songs that don't have an official mv. Even if you watch a fan made lyric video or just a plain screen, Armys will still want to see your reaction to the music and lyrics 😁 But if you enjoy listening without reacting that is fine too. No pressure ☺️ Same goes for super long videos. If it's BTS, Armys will watch it with you no matter how long the video is lol
Yes, ARMY is very diverse. I am in my 40s and have been ARMY since 2015 Dope era. You should listen to Truth Untold by BTS. Steve Aoki produced that as well as Mike Drop. They are such different songs but they are so good. Good luck on your BTS journey.💜💜
I am glad to see you are exploring more of their music, I am 53yo my husband is 63yo we listen to their music as well as are children and grandchildren we are all Army and proud. They all have their solo projects I would like to suggest watching (Daechwita by Suga from BTS aka Agust D) (More and Arson by J-hope) (Joke by RM).
Love your video. Just subscribed. I’m a 47 yr old ARMY. If you are doing the cyphers with the rap line, I suggest you do the lyric videos, then react to cypher medley live please. They are fantastic live. Btw- there is something up with your sound. Thanks
This is the song I always recommend to anyone who says they can't understand listening to music when I don't understand the lyrics. The amount of English makes it easier to understand, the flows are amazing, Suga's iconic 'tasteless ratatouille' insult... The all around incredible mixing... It is my favourite.
Enjoyed your reaction! There's always something different from them, and unless you gravitate strongly to a specific genre, you pretty much can't pick a bad one. Some make a bit more sense with context and knowledge of their history or what the members have shared about the inspiration for a song, but this group is all about meaningful lyrics. That's what really drew me in. Never knowing what they'd be showing musically from one song to the next was also really intriguing, and I found myself trying out "just one more" song after song, lol. I'd love to share Life Goes On with you. It's from their Pandemic inspired album BE, which shares how they felt being in lockdown, isolated, having to indefinitely postpone (& eventually cancel) their extensive world tour. Each member took on a different vital role for the production of this album, from project manager, art director, album package design, to the youngest member, Jungkook, directing the MV for Life Goes On. (I might have their specific titles a bit off, but the point was how involved in the whole production they were, beyond the usual of making their music). BTW, this group really comes alive when performing live with an audience. Hope you enjoy learning more about them and their music✌️🖖
Thank you for your reaction and discovering BTS and giving the boys a chance. Mic Drop is awesome with more than a billion views. I lost count rewatching Mic Drop. Their discography is vast and in different genre.
I suggest checking out Fake love next! Its a great song! When your ready to get to know the band and its members, I highly suggest the BTS member guide by Taylor nakamoto
Thank you for listening to Mic Drop, I hope you will listen to BTS' "Not Today" and "ON Kinetic Manifesto" (greetings from Indonesia... ps. I'm 60 and my children are the same age as two members of BTS). Good Luck on your YT channel !
Welcome to the family! Borahae! Hope you can check out THIS IS BTS for more context on the group. And do share with us your favorite genre so we can share song titles =)
Thanks for reacting to them, if you continue to get to know them you'll come see their diversity. I should mention that because our Fandom is so huge, there can be "toxic" ones unfortunately but as a whole, we are positive. Good luck 💜
Thank you for react to BTS, i really appreciate it. Please do more reaction video to BTS. Here are some of my favorite, hope you like it too: Run BTS Louder Than Bombs War of Hormones Pied Piper Look Here We On Paradise Fire Dope Make It Right Danger Baepsae Heartbeat Airplane pt.2 Daeng Ugh Jamais Vu House Of Cards Let Go, etc
Hello, and welcome to BTS! Using their own words, Dynamite is a disco pop track. BTW, "Run" is and older song, "Run BTS" is their variety show series, and more recently, "Run BTS" is a KILLER song that comes from their new album PROOF. More BTS please and thank you for your great reaction!
thank you for reacting to this MV. please always click the English sibtitles so you get the gist of the song. BTS has really great lyrics and its very important. dont worry about long videos, or pause / rewind so you wont miss anything. BTS has lots of genres so whatever music you like, there is something for you. i like it that you are honest. Thank you , hope to watch you react to more BTS videos. and please enjoy BTS your journey! 💜
Yeah! You picked Mic Drop! 😂🙏 Thank you for giving BTS another try. If you're interested in their true skills, check out their live performances. It's a known fact that they sound better live and the energy they bring to the stage is incomparable. 2019 MMA (Melon Music Award) is an excellent example. Especially the song Dionysus at the end. It's a pleasure for the eyes and ears. Best!
Army will allways subcribe to people that give respect to our guys, and listen to there music beacuse it have a meaning in there lyrics, the write and produced there music. Bts have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 whidin 2 years also 6 Nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200, the also won 3 Awards at Ama Best group/duo, Bes song Butter and Artist Off The Year, check out Bts Grammy performents 2022 is special
56 year old #BTSARMY, and so is my 57 year old Husband, and my 30 year old daughter, 29 year old niece, and 16 year old grand niece. So the original Mic Drop doesn't have a music video, but I will link you the original song with their dance practice for performance, it's on another level. Great, honest reaction! For more BTS, I would suggest "Stigma", "On", "Fire" or "House of Cards". I'm ARMY but there are some other acts I'd like to see you react to as well. The Hu - Yuve Yuve Yu Shaman's Harvest - In Chains Delta Rae - Bottom of the River Tim Finn - Not Even Close Midnight Oil - Forgotten Years Neil Finn - Sinner And now I'll stop. ;)
Taylor Nakamoto's video that introduces each individual member of BTS is really great, very informative, entertaining, and has the most up-to-date info. Gives background info on each member, like their skillsets, solo work, how they got into BTS, their role in the group, how they regard one another, a bit of their personalities, etc. It gives some info about the group as a whole too. Hope to see you react to it, here's the link: th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html There's text you will have to read, so feel free to pause and/or rewind as much as you want. Nobody minds long videos, so don't worry about the length of the video.
BTS songs are awesome! What got me hooked initially though was their incredible performances and choreography. They are better when they are singing and perforrming their songs live. Their songs truly come alive when they perform it live. Much more emotional and impactful. 😊
Let me just add that this group never forget to show their appreciation to their fans. Most artists just thank their fans when they win awards but BTS worked tirelessy for 9 years creating content and actually take time to communicate with fans. They are also simply just good, hardworking people. As successful as they are, they remain humble and quite relatable. They are adorable and very talented dorks. Super awesome but dorks nonetheless. 😁
One of my hobbies is watching Mic Drop reaction videos. Literally have never seen anyone be anything other than pleased coming out of the video. Usually shocked and smiling ear to ear, ready to go down the rabbit hole. I'm happy to hear ARMY were respectful. We just adore the band and we can be slightly annoying in that we want to talk about them to non ARMY for hours. Wait.... is BTS a cult? And ARMY are missionaries, spreading the word of BTS? 😭🤷♀️💜 Enjoy your trip 🍄 into the BTS UNIVERSE.
I love BTS because of their message and lyrics. especially since SK is a conservative country it's even harder to speak your mind particularly when you're an idol (boy group/girl group) cause you have a higher chance to get blacklisted by the government and from major TV shows where these kpop groups usually perform some of their songs they had to cut to perform, to avoid censorship and blacklisting. sometimes they use idioms/phrases that are very cultural (luckily you have doolset) but they can be applied to issues worldwide so all of us can relate in our own ways! I used to hate boybands and pop artists but they have changed my mind and I'm thankful to be a more open-minded and accepting person thanks to them.
Thank you for your reaction! Just ignore the toxic ones, they’re not representative of Army as a whole. Much love from London 💜. Can’t wait for the next one 😎
Thank for your open minded reaction.👍👍👍
I ,as a 48 year old korean mom army, just want people to know we army are not crazy fan girls.
We love their songs, their struggles, their messages and love for army(all lives).....
Sometimes I really want to preserve them from the unprovoked hates toward BTS.
So I'm so happy for seeing your reaction💜💜

Use CC's for eng subtitles (Bottom right of screen). Always play the BigHit logo at the beginning of their official MVs and you wont get copyright struck.
BigHit have no problem with reactors (gets their music known to more people).
Recommended to reactors that you pause as often as you need and Feel free to go back if you miss something. We enjoy long videos

Sorry for the long comment - but the amount of content is insane and can be overwhelming - these are all very good audio/video/subs Live performances and official MVs.
BTW they sing live while dancing. They are an audio-visual extravaganza. They sing/rap in Korean, Japanese and English. Their wordplay and lyricism are legendary.
If you liked Mic Drop then I would recommend Not Today or Fire, if you want something on the opposite end of their musical spectrum then I would recommend Your Eyes Tell or Film Out.
truth
I would suggest Mikrokosmos or Magic Shop.
Agreed Very Deep 😅, but so worth the journey these guys have some crazy diversity.
True
It might be a bit early since you haven’t seen much of their huge discography but there’s a pretty awesome introduction called “A guide to bts: bangtan 7” by Taylor If you want to react to it^^
Thank you for mentioning that... I'll try to find the url and post it in this section... it really is a gem.💜😇💜usa
XCeleste’s Who is BTS also contains some interesting facts and stats that aren’t in Taylor’s exceptional video.
and also many different ages, not even most are 13 yr old girls. all the BTS fans I know are over 30 and some well over 30. I find media that reports that annoying.
Army are wildly protective but also really helpful and a force of joy! Thank you for this video :-)
You did your research and read comments intently, im very impressed
Same
Hi. I am gonna leave "💜" purple heart here. Thank you for reacting
If you may interested in them individually. I suggest you to react to Taylor Nakamoto's "A guide to BTS members"
Though their english songs are amazing, most of us will suggest their korean songs cause what attract us to be ARMY are the genius lyricism and meanings.
I am 35 and the song Epiphany made us Army. I feel loved, many of us feel loved by them. They help those who are struggling in life mentally. with their music and sincerity
UP! We don't care a long reaction
I am 63.....I feel the same!
You are a beautiful person... 😊 😇
Apart from DKDKTV, I would also recommend Bookish Theory. Her analysis especially for Map of the Soul is more in-depth.
wow.. i really appreciate that u read all armys comments n willing to open minded to learn. i feel really happy about that.
I don't take other suggestions 😉
Best performance ever.
But "Spring Day" will always be queen.
Some of BTS' other vibes:
"Airplane Pt 2" Latin inspired
"On, Kinetic Manifesto" Marching band meets hiphop.
"Spring Day" MV is another one that needs an explanation (again, my preferred is DKDKTV)
73 yo new subscriber because I saw you have a Tom MacDonald video and a bunch of folk I have never heard of. 💜
Sorry to correct you but Airplane pt 2 is the Latin inspired one. Airplane (or Airplane pt 1 )is J Hope’s solo song.
Love that you are 73 , l am 67 from Australia and have been ARMY for 6 years.
@@minkeytalk Oh! You're so right. I can't believe I did that lol. I'll edit. Thank you so much for catching that! 💜
i understand where u are coming from...it's just army is a very diverse amazing enthusiastic fan base and we are very protective of our boys ....this enthusiasm is constant and can be seen in every true army no matter colour race gender and age...we have something in common that just brings us together and that driving force is these 7 boys who've grown into incredible 7 men in front of our eyes...it's just when it comes to BTS ...there is a place for everyone...there is a place for every kind of fan...u can lean on one thing or the other .....members are so closely knitted yet have so many different personalities and are so authentic about it that u can relate absolutely to atleast one of them...but real army grew to love each andevery member equally ..it's not an exaggeration when army says that BTS saved their life . .bcoz the message the BTS sends through their music.through the way they live their life is powerful and it resonates with us.... that's y we are what we are...they made us believe in ourselves at the time where we completely lost ourselves ....i guarantee once u get to know them their personalities their journey coz that's one of a true underdog story....u will come to understand BTS and army much better
i recommend 1."This is BTS" by xceleste to understand BTS as a whole
2."Intro to 7 members of BTS" by Taylor to understand each member and their specialities
3. "this is BTS army" by xceleste
welcome to the best rabbit hole u could ever be in 💜💜💜borahae
what i like the most from song is the lyrics (beside sounds good with unique voice) especially it have more deeper meaning, just like u peel an onion, it has so many layers and i found that in BTS. there is some songs that u must watch the explanation video to able understand more about the song, coz BTS often use korean references, analogy, history or idiom on their lyrics.
I just know that after 7-8 videos he will be fan
The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope, the main dancer and dance leader of BTS.
And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :)
If you're interested in their live performances, Just check this out.
[BANGTAN BOMB] 2017 MAMA Mic Drop. (BTS focus)
th-cam.com/video/floMqK_yHf8/w-d-xo.html
It's not an official MAMA video broadcast on TV, but a full-cam taken by Big Hit.
Oh, there is another song BTS worked on with Steve Aoki. The Truth Untold is a completely different song from Mic Drop. :)
And If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I recommend....
Blood sweat & tears
FIRE
On kinetic manifesto film
Black Swan
Save me→I'm fine
Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo)
All of their music videos provide English subtitles. :)
Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful.
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
Maybe you can try this.
[2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) BTS ROOM LIVE
It's a medley performance where you can taste the diversity of their music in 10 minutes. They are Korean songs, but English subtitles are provided, so you don't need to worry. :)
They don't dance in this performance, but you can see them having so much fun.
I’ll post the link in a moment.
th-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/w-d-xo.html
ARMY is a bit protective of BTS, we are always willing to give new reactors a chance.
Yea, BTS! They are my go-to for....pretty much whatever mood I'm in. :) There's always something in the catalogue that speaks to how I'm feeling.
Thanks for the shoutout 💜
I love this channel already.
That was fun to watch. Thank you for your time 💜
Bts and army has changed so many lives including mine!
As has been recommended to you before, I really recommend UGH, Tear and Run BTS (Run BTS has all the members) :)
UGH and Tear for lyrical content, though you might need explanations, and Run BTS for the sound.
AF Taehyung is the best translation channel on youtube, but they don't have translations for all the songs so Zaty Farhani is a safe backup choice :)
thanks for this info! If I knew how to leave a purple heart on this, I would, LOL so instead, I purple you!
I assure you, it is blowing my mind!
Just to add that while "Borahae" is a phrase invented by Taehyung, "You nice, keep going," is Jimin's phrase.
Thank you! Please consider Not Today, Fire, Blood Sweat and Tears, Tear ( live if you can)...they are amazing live!
I'm glad you liked it, obviously we all have different tastes in everything and it's completely fine that you don't really like some other song, as the people say in my city "for tastes, colors" (because there is a wide variety of colors), so we will all have different tastes hehe
In every fandom there will be toxic people, in some more than in others, even more so the massive fandoms. in our case there may be a certain number of toxic people but it is a small percentage, also if things are not said out of place there is no problem; what do I mean by "out of place"?, I don't mean that you don't like their music, but that there are people who become racist, very derogatory and unpleasant people (because of the type of comments) that's when army comes in saying "what you said is racist", "this is wrong because of that and this other" other than that everything is fine, (in addition to respecting our artists because there are people who mess with their physique and come to make fun of them with "is a woman right?" and it's very different when you ask it with sincere doubt or when you ask it contemptuously and with other intentions hehe)
I add that, it is good that you had the lyrics with the additional notes because many times you come to think that what they say does not make sense, and well now that you have to know a little more to understand it jsjs
I add a link with the live presentation (concert) th-cam.com/video/zKdis9YtjSE/w-d-xo.html , a fantastic and incredible thing about them: they sound much better on live :b
I apologize in advance if there is any inconsistency, I am not fluent in English so I use the translator.
have a nice day!!
You did great! Welcome to the rabbit hole. Watch your step
Please post your reaction of Run BTS! I would love to watch it! This is a new one. Definitely one of my favorites songs of them :)
The next one you gotta check out is we ate bulletproof part 2 it's insanely fire no cap.
Thank you Sir.
I like a reactor like you who
1) willing to google a bit abt BTS [unlike some who are so lazy to even find out the basic info, asking us how many members in BTS, where they are from, etc.]
2) read viewers' comments
3) read and appreciate lyrics
btw. the original music/melody of Mic Drop is not much different than the remix.
Yes please listen to all BTS MV and react. They are an amazing group! 💜
Rm or Namjoon is the real lyrics "mastermind" behind BTS in general and the leader. He has an IQ of 148 for tbe record. 💜
Hi from Mexico! Check out black swan , it is very diferent. Like your reactions!
Thanks for your reaction. Btw, for next reaction, hope you can fix your sound system, so we can hear your voice clearly.
BTS is my emotional safe space in an otherwise very toxic world. I hope they bring you joy too.
Welcome to the family.
💜🇨🇦
I Think BTS biggest achievement is ARMY..... so if you open your mind and trust ARMY... they Will hold your hand through this beautiful journey down the rabbit hole...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'd like to see you react to "fake love" and maybe "blood, sweat and tears" I think you'll enjoy those. I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Your right Bts is very diverse, they cover different genres from Rock to neo-soul and of course hip hop. 😊
I'd like to recommend ON Kinetic Manifesto next. This is the song which made me an ARMY. It's "fight against all odds" type of song. 💜💜💜
Love your reaction! Keep checking them out you will be surprised.
I am looking forward to your journey aka BTS rabbit hole. I subscribed. YOU NICE KEEP GOING (BTS quote).
Thanks for being opened minded.
Well this is nice of you! I'm glad you're so open minded. You seem like a nice person I hope your channel does well!
Just subscribed because I appreciate you reading the comments and then watching more of their videos before doing another reaction.
Here are some of my favorite, hope you like it too:

Don’t worry about long reactions we don’t mind as long you keep it real ..thank for you reactions to our 7 kings ,can’t wait for the next one !
I suggest you to react to a band called Måneskin Zitti e Buoni live Eurovision (for your MYNH) they are a rock young band from Italy 🇮🇹
Hey Catalina!
Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen Måneskin trending in a few places and do need to check them out!
Best!
Welcome to BTS rabbit hole 😊 i hope you react to more of their music and see how amazing they are 💜
Army will allways subcribe to people that give respect to our guys, and listen to there music beacuse it have a meaning in there lyrics, the write and produced there music.
Original Mic Drop Dance Practice w/Dance Break (no subs) - th-cam.com/video/eRkpkveBWyo/w-d-xo.html
Great, honest reaction! For more BTS, I would suggest "Stigma", "On", "Fire" or "House of Cards". I'm ARMY but there are some other acts I'd like to see you react to as well.
The Hu - Yuve Yuve Yu
Shaman's Harvest - In Chains
Delta Rae - Bottom of the River
Tim Finn - Not Even Close
Midnight Oil - Forgotten Years
Neil Finn - Sinner
And now I'll stop. ;)
You should check out the Hu Band. You’ve ever never heard anything like this! Also, Dimash Kudaibergen, SOS
Love the Hu and their epic, gorgeous mvs.
Hope to see you react to it, here's the link: th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html
There's text you will have to read, so feel free to pause and/or rewind as much as you want.
Happy to see you gived theme a seconde chance ^^
I love BTS because of their message and lyrics.
especially since SK is a conservative country it's even harder to speak your mind particularly when you're an idol (boy group/girl group) cause you have a higher chance to get blacklisted by the government and from major TV shows where these kpop groups usually perform
some of their songs they had to cut to perform, to avoid censorship and blacklisting. sometimes they use idioms/phrases that are very cultural (luckily you have doolset) but they can be applied to issues worldwide so all of us can relate in our own ways!
