I do love these environmentally friendly sports!
Well, they are working on tractors that run on rice cakes, kale smoothies and the tears of Antifa protesters, but the tech isn't quite there yet.
There's a big fan behind the course blowing the fumes away!
That radial engine powered one was off the charts. Also the v12 Merlin Rolls Royce powered one was cool in itself. Bonus points for those glowing cherry red titanium headers!
I'm sorry dear. It looks like the kids will be eating buckwheat and radishes this month things didn't go well at the track.
After that Smarter Every Day episode, I don't even watch the tractors anymore I watch the sled 😄

For those wondering about pollution:
It ain't that bad tbh.
Methanol burns clean and doesnt pollute.
The diesel tractor smokes alot not because pure diesel, but the water injection for cooling, so it is basically coloured steam.
A large swimmingpool pollutes more in a couple of hours than an entire season of tractorpulling.
The diesels smoke a lot because they overfuel them to make boost and hence power the black smoke is unburnt fuel

Yep
In tractor pulls ya it will happen…. On a street diesel…. Youd better hope not! Turbos will burn up sooner than later…. Something like 1,800°F is the max….for a short bit. 1,400° constantly…(like getting on it for a while).

Quite often V12 Aero engines are implemented as well! Rolls Royce Merlin, Allison V12s and others. Many of the Turbine Engines are from Helicopters!

Most likely it's out of a tank either a Wright R-975 or a licensed built one from Continental.
