10 years ago, you were No.1 pick.
9 years ago, you were rookie of the year.
7 years ago, you were the youngest MVP.
You were windy city assassin, son of Chicago.
6 years ago, the injuries, the suffering, the pain, the sorrow.
You were the brightest star who has fallen too soon.
We never left, we were there.
Because I know, one day, “the Rose” will bloom once again.
    New York, Cleveland, Minnesota.
We were there, waiting for the day,
    One day...
    Tonight, is the night.
the sweat, the tear, the thrill, the roar.
No more brutal dunks, no more flashy crossovers.
Instead, you have steel-forged faith, and ever-unyielding soul.
You are the fiercest wolf, preying on victory.
You shouted out what you have been through all these years.
You have once again awakened, like a phoenix nirvana.
This is a glimpse of your prime promised by god, but never had a chance to shine.
This is the night will be carved into history forever.
This is the proof that Derrick Rose has always been a fighter.
This is the moment, we both cried, perhaps too god damn hard.
Dream back to Windy city, dream back to MVP.
    Thank you, Derrick Rose.
Thank you all along the way, and we will always be there for you.

Most of them watched him on the Bulls, none of his teammates were ever considered the best at their position by far, and top 3in the league. They all watched him and how he was on track to finish his career in. theHOF, being. the greatest PG to ever play, and to be a top 10 ever. The year he got injured the Bulls were going to win the finals no doubt. Then the injuries happened... every player on his team and in the league remember what Derrick Rose would of done in the league then lost it all with that injury. They all know how it was also his coaches fault. Tom Thibadeau was known for over playing his players, there was NO reason for Derrick Rose to still be in the game when they were up 13 with 60 seconds left and a game 2 playoff game next. That year 4 of the Bulls starters were also the top 4 players in minutes played.... Tom Thibadeau over worked, over played, and ruined Derrick Rose career.

You’re just taking a reset but you keep all of your knowledge and wisdom which is a beautiful thing… D Rose was always a super humble guy and always did any and everything his teams needed to do. D Rose is definition of optimism. Dude went from NBA MVP to a role player due to injury. For him to have an elite game like this and which was also a career high in points for him. He lost at least half of his athletic ability and was still able to reinvent himself and become an effective player. For a game that requires peak athleticism to even scratch the surface of being able to be competitive and play, for a man to lose the majority of his god given athleticism and go out and score 50 points on just skill and talent that he had acquired from working so hard in practice/training is absolutely amazing. It’s like building a house in today’s age using hand tools, doable but way harder not having the right tools (athleticism) to make the job easier. Only other performance that I can remember watching that was this magnitude of impressive was Kobe’s last game.
I remember being 14 and my family was poor, had to barrow shoes from friends to play. My grandmother brought me to get new shoes. I bought Drose first pair of adidas that he came out with. His commercial slogan was “quick ain’t fair”. They are to this day the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever wore, but I didn’t care because I had Droses on when everyone was wearing lebron. And I can tell you I felt quick and had more confidence driving to the basket even though I was mainly a 3 point shooting PG.
Thank you Drose, you made my childhood a little bit better.

I say at least 81 and as the season go on if he keeps doing what he’s doing of course he’s not going to drop 50 every night but I think he’s averaging 20 points a game and five or six assists and it should go even higher.

Xavier O'Neill its all subjective bro, you cant force the way you feel on people it just makes you sound like a dick. And idk if you watch basketball but hes doing this for his son. After being defeated by not one knee injury but multiple injuries and getting disrespected by multiple media personality and players. He wanted to show his son that he could overcome all his hardships and still be great. Dont talk abt it if you dont know the full story

For those that never knew what DRose was capable of or have doubted his capabilities. This guy was considered a "Jordan" of the Bulls back in 2009-2012. When he won his first MVP, it actually felt as if he himself has given life to the Bulls team. People say he is as explosive as Westbrook, but in reality he is probably THE MOST explosive PG in the history of NBA hands down. This dude would challenge literally everyone to the rim and still make a shot that seems virtually impossible. If there is one player that I respect the most due to their sheer perseverance and their willingness to put in the insurmountable hardwork required to achieve something, its DRose.
