I am Japanese. When I was young, I stayed in Auckland for 9 months. This song was the most popular song of that year.I still remember and can sing it. I can't explain how many memories and emotions it brings me even now.
22 years ago I used to walk past 'street' an urban clothing store on Willis street in Wellington, where she used to work. I used to see her in the window folding clothes and shit. always wanted to tell her how much I loved this song and what a great musician she is and 8f she could sign my fur patrol album but I was 11 years old and didn't want to bother her lol. Hope she reads this. Loved their band ❤ xx
Played the bass for this in a local "Stars in your Eyes" type show with a great vocalist (who nailed the vocal part). I can assure you that the song is just as good from "the other side of the camera" as well.
For a minute there I thought Julia's "baby" was Ritchie McCaw, til he opened his mouth......Crikey I didn't remember Julia looking like this; Soo young and with attitude. She has matured well, both in sound and looks. A hard working, and totally deserving Kiwi artist. Classic stuff!
Julia Deans sung this song about the confrontation of running into an ex, lets admit most of us have been there. Definitely a song i remember from high school
Love this song, and remember it, though the video is amazing, i like the way the men are just pretty faces, miming the drums...good the jealousy reaches such sensual expressions, i wont hold it against her!!
When I was a teenager I listened to Fur Patrol. Then in my 20s I listened to Snow Patrol. Now in my 30s Its Paw Patrol.
In my 30s I watch road patrol
So relatable.
40s it's Border patrol 😊
😂😂😂😂

Chris Cornell's voice is perfect for this song.

Am I the only one who thinks that she sings about Lydia being her baby, not the guy? The way she turns to her at the end... 🥺
I thought so too. It'd be cute
You couldn't leave leave the house without hearing this song. I hated it at the time, but it's aged well and the lead singer is still hot af
